~~~~~
A white dragon flew over the forest catching the attention of all the Pokémon living there making it become deathly quiet. Behind the white dragon was a black one and upon seeing the two massive dragons all the other forest-dwelling Pokémon that still dared to make noise immediately shut up.
The two dragons arrived on top of a certain part of the forest and the white dragon's blue eyes stared at the black dragon's red ones.
"Their down there," the white dragon said, "should we wait for them to finish?"
The black dragon nodded and so the two dragons waited patiently for the group of Pokémon they were targeting to finish their conversation.
"Pretty much," they hear a voice say.
The two dragons looked at each other before nodding and slowly making their descent, the white dragon landed first, the black dragon quickly following after. The two dragons looked at the group of Pokémon which they were looking for, the Kalos legends.
"Reshiram! Zekrom!" Xerneas exclaims.
The black dragon, which was Zekrom spoke up, "Yveltal, Xerneas, Zygarde, Hoopa and Diancie."
"You may not be familiar with this, but it is our duty, as the set of legendaries that won the tournament prior to that of yours, to guide you to the Garden of Time," Reshiram, the white dragon said.
"Why must we go to the Garden of Time?" Diancie asked.
"It is a tradition, that prior to the games Arceus would gather all the legendaries in the Garden of Time," Zekrom explained.
Before the Kalos legends could ask anymore questions, Reshiram spoke up, "We cannot entertain your questions, we ourselves do not know much," Reshiram admitted, "all we can really do is the same thing Palkia and Dialga did with us during the last tournament..."
Zekrom finished the sentence for his counterpart, "...and bring you to the Garden of Time."
~~~~~

The Kalos and Unova legends arrived in the Garden of Time and the Unova legends watched in understanding as the Kalos legends took in the beautiful surroundings...

...after all, the last time the Kalos legends were in the Garden of Time they weren't there to sightsee...

...they were there to fight for the title of "Legendary Pokémon"...

~~~~~
I took in the beautiful surroundings, not having seen anything like what I was seeing with my own two eyes. The last time I was here, I had to fight about fifteen or so other Pokémon so I couldn't really focus on the surroundings, because I had to concentrate on the battle at hand.
But now, it was a different story...
I looked around and saw emerald green grass that felt softer than the softest Altaria, if given the chance I would've stayed here all day!
But I knew I couldn't...
Not now, anyway...
I continued taking in the entire Garden of Time and noticed that a barrier of trees encased this sanctuary of life. The trees sprouted turquoise leaves and each tree grew a different kind of berry. Suddenly, Zekrom cleared his throat and we all stopped sightseeing and looked at the Unova legend.
"Come along," Reshiram said, but not without a tone of understanding.
Reshiram and Zekrom walked towards what seemed to be the center of the Garden of Time and after a few hesitant seconds we followed them.
~~~~~

The legends of Kalos and Unova arrived in the "center" of the Garden of Time and saw all the other legendaries forming a circle, with Arceus himself in the center.

"My lord, Arceus!" the Kalos legends exclaimed in shock, bowing before their creator.

Arceus chuckled, "No need for formalities, legends of Kalos, we are all equals in this sanctuary."

"I-I see," Xerneas stammered.

Arceus shifted his attention from the legends of Kalos to all the other legendaries that gathered in the Garden, "I am sure you all know why we have gathered here."

The other legends nodded in agreement, Arceus faced the legends of Kalos once more, "As for you, since this is your first time participating in the tournament, I will have to explain the rules to you...so that you will know of this," he then gestured to the other legendaries, "and so that I may refresh your memories."

Diancie spoke up, interrupting her creator, "What rules will you explain, my Lord Arceus?"

"What rules you should follow when choosing a champion."

"As you may all know, a champion is a vital part in this tournament, but you cannot chose just ANY Pokémon. I have made 3 rules and I would like to share all of them with you," Arceus said.

All the Pokémon in the area, even the ones who already knew about these "rules", paid close attention to Arceus and what he said next.

"One, there will be absolutely NO BIAS in choosing your champion. I do not want you to choose this certain Pokémon because of bias. That way, all Pokémon have a fair chance at being chosen as your champion," Arceus explained.

The legendary Pokémon continued, "Second, your champion's motives during the tournament must be justifiable. In the period of time I give you to train your champion, I want you to know what they plan to achieve by fighting during the tournament. I don't want you letting a murderous Pokémon loose in the Garden of Time, this place is a battleground, not a place to kill."

"Third, you must be able to trust them wholeheartedly. I'm sure all of you have come to understand that nothing is perfect. I created the Garden of Time so we could have our tournament in peace, and also so that our tournament will not disrupt the lives of other Pokémon. I put up a shield around the Garden so that in the midst of the tournament a Pokémon of a human won't stumble into this place by accident..."

"After the tournament, the champions who were unable to become legendaries return to their homes, they are able to keep all their memories of this place and all the events that occurred while they were in the Garden. So, I want you to choose a champion you are able to trust fully, if in case they don't win the tournament and they return to their homes, I want your champions to keep the secret and swear to never to another being about this place..."

Arceus looked away, "If the location of the Garden of Time is known it'll only take a big group to shatter the shield and sabotage the tournament. I cannot sense what goes on outside the Garden of Time, and if I do find out the shield has been broken and we were being sabotaged... I fear we might be too late to fight back."

The Alpha Pokémon looked at the Kalos legends, who were all processing what they had just been told. Arceus watched them with a stern look in his emerald green eyes.

"Do you understand Kalos legends?" he asked.

They immediately answered their maker, "Yes, my Lord."

Arceus smiled, "Very good. I have taken enough of your precious time, legends, you may go and choose your champions, but keep the rules I had just stated in mind, understand?"

"Yes."

"Lugia, Ho-oh, please accompany the Kalos legends back to their regions," Arceus commanded.

"Of course, my Lord," the two Johto legends answered.

~~~~~
After the Johto legends escorted Yveltal, Xerneas, Zygarde, Diancie and Hoopa back to their rightful region, they left. The Kalos legends looked at each other, unsure of what to do.
Until Hoopa broke the silence, "Hey guys! First one to get a champ wi-"
"Hoopa," Zygarde said harshly, "this is a serious matter, and it is not to be taken lightly."
Hoopa looked at Zygarde before he looked away and nodded his head in understanding, muttering a few things that we couldn't hear.
"What do we do?" Diancie asks.
Yveltal spread his red and black wings and flapped them twice as he rose into the air, he looked at the other legendaries of Kalos and smirked, "We do what Arceus told us to do...
...get ourselves a champion."
And so, Yveltal flew away. The Kalos legends went their separate ways, to find themselves a champion...
~~~~~

Near a lake of crystal-clear water was an elegant deer, it dipped it's head and quietly drunk from the lake, being careful to maintain the beautiful serenity of the forest. It seemed to have sensed something because it stopped drinking from the lake and raised it's head, allowing the gems protruding from it's golden antlers to shimmer in the sunlight.

It stared at the trunk of a tree until a blue dog-like Pokémon stepped out. Upon seeing the dog-like Pokémon the deer relaxed.

"Xerneas," the blue Pokémon said calmly.

"Suicune...it is quite a surprise to see you in Kalos!" Xerneas exclaims.

Suicune smiled at the beautiful deer in front of it, "It's always like this, Xerneas. The legends normally run around the different regions to find a champion. I myself decided to see Kalos and all the Pokémon that live here."

"I understand," Xerneas answered.

Suicune turned around, preparing to leave, "I have a feeling we aren't the only legendaries to meet up coincidentally," Suicune cocked his head to the side, facing Xerneas, "i'll be seeing you, Xerneas."

And so, Suicune left, knowing that what he had told Xerneas was indeed a fact...

~~~~~
A stag-like Pokémon that belonged to the Sword of Justice stay still in the forest, as if she was trying to locate something.
A shadow zipped by and without hesitance it chased the shadow,  managing to keep up with it and it's incredible speed. The shadow suddenly stopped and so did the Sword of Justice. The shadow expanded and it seemed to become a small hole, and out of that small hole, a shadow-like Pokémon emerged.
It spoke, "Virizion."
"Darkrai," Virizion said, "nice to see you in Unova. Looking for your champion, I presume?"
"You presume correctly, Virizion. Honestly, I wonder what will happen this time," Darkrai admitted.
"This tournament is all about luck, and you lucky your Yveltal won last tournament," Virizion said.
"I was indeed lucky. This tournament always makes itself interesting..." Darkrai stated.
"All of us fortunate that we won our tournaments and were given the chance we have today," Virizion answered.
Darkrai nodded in agreement, "Let's just see if we'll be lucky again."
~~~~~

An orange bird with a plumage of flames was flying in the sky, suddenly something brushed against it's fiery wing taking the fire bird completely off-guard. The bird out in shock and gave chase to the thing that hit it. The thing slowed down revealing an alien-like being colored reddish orange and blue.

"Deoxys!" the bird exclaims.

"Moltres," Deoxys says in just as much shock, "why were you following me?"

"You brushed past me and well...I gave chase," Moltres said.

"Ah, i'm very sorry about that, Moltres. You see I am in my Speed Forme, and I am in a hurry," Deoxys turned around, "now if I may take leave-"

"You want your champion to win don't you?" Moltres asked.

At that Deoxys turned around to face Moltres, "It feels euphoric when something you worked so hard on gets appreciated."

Moltres smiled, "I know, I saw your face when Cresselia won in the tournament that decided the legends of Sinnoh."

"I also saw your face when your Reshiram won in the tournament that decided the Unova legends," Deoxys retorted.

"I know, I am guilty of that as well," Moltres admitted, "but remember, one wrong move could mark the end."

And so, Moltres flew away leaving Deoxys, possibly making the Hoenn legend a bit more conscious of his actions...

~~~~~
Arceus watched in amusement as legendaries bumped into each other in all the different regions. He laughed as he saw Victini irritating Giratina, the massive Ghost/Dragon trying his best to control his temper, so he wouldn't squish the little Mythical Pokémon.
"Look at that, their having their own little gatherings," he laughed.
All of a sudden the Alpha Pokémon lifted his head and scanned the entire Garden of Time. There was a flicker of fear in the emerald green eyes of Arceus before it was replaced by disbelief.
"It's been a long time, why show yourself now?" Arceus asked.
A strong wind blew past Arceus and the Pokémon glared at something that seemed to be invisible. Another strong wind blew throughout the Garden of Time.
"What do you plan to do?" he whispered.
"Arceus...you...have reigned...for far too long...it's time...
for darkness to take over the world."
END.
