*Waring Contains Minor Smut and Minor Violence

Marinette slowly opened her eyes and to her disappointment their was no one next to her. She gripped the bedsheet. 'Why did you leave and not say goodbye? Did I ruin US with my little game?'

She felt like waived her rights to him and whatever he chose to do. She caused him to be ostracized by his own father. So much unnecessary hurt that he believed he could not handle what she had to say. She doubted herself as his Lady Luck as it seemed she only brought him, misfortune. His Lady Misfortune.  'I should of just told you. You would still be here with me. Adrien...'

She gulped turning herself over. It was too painful to come to terms with the empty space beside her. She looked down at her room and sitting at her computer desk was none other then the boy she ached for. He was typing away. School books opened and his face full of concentration.

She rubbed her eyes in disbelief. She couldn't decide whether to ask him "What are you doing?" Or "Why are you still here?" Causing her words to jumble.

"W-why are you doing?"

Adrien let out a chuckle as he understood her mix up as he knew she was not a morning person. Not able to form coherent sentences for at least a half an hour. "I thought I should contribute to our project since I couldn't get much sleep."

"That many things on your mind?" She asked sitting up.

"Sort off. Got up because... I got triggered by your scent. In hindsight I guess I should of taken the chaise."

The night before ChatNoir had crawled to bed with her. Promising to stay transformed at least until she slept. A precaution for the both of them as he assumed that pheromones would stop being produced if the person was a sleep. How quickly he was proven wrong....

Marinette felt him rest his chin on her her shoulder as he wrapped his hands gently around her waist. He just wanted the comfort of being with her. Feeling the rhythm of her breath and the warmth of her body up against his. He began to purr like a house cat does when they start to drift off. Purring disrupted by soft giggles as the vibrations from his neck tickled her shoulder

"Silly Kitty." she replied as he yawned in her ear. He wanted to sleep as he so tried mentally and physically. He tighten his grip before drifting to a worriless land.

He found himself dressed in a school uniform. A uniform from one of his favorite animes, Vampire Knight. He walked the halls of Cross Academy; a building that looked like a pale cathedral on the outside but the inside felt like a few decade old college building. He had only ever seen the school on his computer and found enjoyment in his circumstance. He had no worries just beautiful architecture.

"Ow!" He found himself bumping into a girl that looked oddly identical to Marinette except her eyes were a blazing red. Not her normally calm blue that he recently could not get enough of the more the two danced around the 'What ifs'.

Her hair was down and she was dressed in the black uniform like he was. Belonging to the Sun dorm just like him. A signifier that they took the day classes and they were not Vampires that lived in the Moon dorm.

"Are you alright?" He asked thinking that he was just going to play along. See what roads his subconscious lead him down.

"I'm going to be late!" She yelled as she ran off. He found himself following her as she was the only student that he had came across. He had not seen any characters from the anime, not even the main leads just this alternative Marinette. Claiming she was late for something. Prehaps a class?

She stopped infront of a wall of lockers that looked less like they were from Vampire Knight and more like the ones from Francis Dupont. She took a few controlled breaths as she had ran all the way. To this odd destination. A shadow lurked in the corridor not to far. It seemed to be creeping closer and closer to the girl. A sick feeling came over him.

Adrien pointed to the shadow as he had to warn her. "MISS!"

The shadow reactivly acted on Adrien's warning. A thin tentacle like appendages began to crawl up her skirt. However, she remained remarkably unafraid. "HUuuuh!" She grabbed at her skirt. "Please!"

He at first thought that she wanted help but he realized she begging for the creature. Begging for whatever that thing was. Or whatever it was going to do to her. He watched in horror as the shawdowy tendril morphed into a hand then slowly a person emerged.

A man that wore the white uniform of Cross Academy that paired well with his straving red eyes. A man that he recognized all too well. As he possessed a face that Adrien only saw when he looked into a mirror. "Adrien?" He found his own name to be extremely strange to say out loud.

He was meant with a glare before the alternative version of him cupped the face of the girl. "The way you tempt me with every moment. Every movemt. It will be the end of you."

He pushed her against the lockers with a strong kiss, holding her hands above her head. Adrien felt like he was intruding but he could not look away. He gulped as he watched his shadow self caused the girl to make sounds that mimicked the erotic sounds Ladybug and Marinette had once made.

"AdriEeen!" She called as he turned her over. He unbuckled his pants partly lifting up her skirt before hearing loud pleasure pants from his playmate.

Adrien tried to change his dream as he was not fond of being a third wheel of his own sexual fantasty. But, he ultimately failed. Stuck with hearing oohs and aahs of Marinette's doppelganger. He noticed how his shadow self eyed her as if he was going to eat her piece by piece. Gobble up every bit of her until there was nothing left. A look that Adrien himself had undoubtedly bestowed on the real Marinette when he suffered a unfortunatly timed rut.

"It's...It's okay if its you." She moved her hair out of the way of her soft neck. Allowing him to mark his territory like any well trained Alpha would. "I'm all your's, Adrien."

A terrifying shriek left her body as fangs bit into her neck. Adrien closed his eyes tightly as he could not watch. He began to feel as if he was drowning on the taste of copper. His lungs filling up with liquid. Liquid that was not water. He opened his eyes to find that he was now in his shadow self's place. He pulled away panicking as she was limp.

"MARINETTE?!" He yelled trying to help her but she was already ice cold. Thanks to the twisted logic that paired with a dream or in this case a nightmare.

His shadow self was on the sidelines smiling almost gleefully. As if her fate was well derserved. "It was fun why it lasted. Good thing she was only temporary."

Adrien jolted himself awake as he wanted out of that hellscape. His hands clammy from the stress of being unable to save Marinette's red-eyed clone. He sighed in relief as Marinette was totally unaware. Sleeping soundly as Adrien was struggling to cope with own wicked imagination.

"She's okay. I'm okay." A chant he repeated until his heart stopped pounding. "She's okay..."

He laid back down hoping to focus on her to relive his mind of such a terrible dream. He began to fiddle with her medium length hair that was more often then not in ponytails or pigtails. He wanted to wake up his sleeping beauty as he did not want to be alone with himself. He did not feel safe to share company with his self.

"Marinette..." He softly whispered.

She didn't react but her hair moved slightly. Enough for Adrien to be concerned he was caught up in another nightmare involving his opposite. He reach over hearing a disgruntled groan. A sound of relief flooded over him as he realized it was only his Kwami and not his shadow self returning.

"KID!" Plagg yelled as he was being moved to the otherside of the bed. He wanted to stay in his little nest that he created with Marinette's hair. "I was sleeping!"

"I need someone to talk to and Mari is worn out."

"So I'm your SECOND choice? Despicable." Plagg stretched and yawned kneading Adrien's chest. He wanted to go back to his Mistress, lady slumber.

"I had a bad dream..."

"Boo hoo, at least you don't have a gaint interrupting your sleep."

Adrien sighed as he knew that Plagg was not the sympathic type. Not like she was. Caring, concerned, and unfortunately head over heels for an idiot that could not love her back. Not the way she loved him. They had chemistry both mentally and physically.

"It will be the end of you." A quote from his alter. He hated to admit it but he was right. Adrien would have to choose, and he knew who his heart wanted. Even though in made him upset that Ladybug only wanted him now that she knew who he was. He could have that life he wanted. The career, the girl, the marriage. It all seemed within his reach.

All at cost of destroying Marinette. She would be devastated to see him live a happy life with out her. To love and to cherish someone else. Some stranger in her eyes. All a consequence of his own actions as he kept on giving her more and more false hope. Climbing into bed, cuddling all because he wanted to be comforted like some child.

"I'm hopeless."

"SHUT UP!" Plagg yelled not wanting his sleep to be interrupted by Adrien's pity party. He knew he was supposed to console the wielder of the Cat Miraculous but he found the whole back and forth thing exhausting. Especially when he was trying to get some well derserved sleep.

"Pardon me for going threw something."

"You're always going threw something so either shut it or put me back were you found me."

"On the coffee table?" Adrien asked teasing Plagg about how the first meant. "That seems excessive."

Plagg glared at his holder weighing his options. "I would cataclysm the shit out of you right now. Only if you didn't feed me camembert."

Adrien patted his Kwami's head as he never found Plagg to be an actual threat despite Plagg's powers. He was a wittle itty-bitty kitty. He was too cute to be the "Darkness incarnate" that Plagg claimed to be.

Adrien looked at Marinette hoping that if he studied her long enough that he'd fall asleep. Her bottom lip slightly covered in drool causing him to smile as he wiped her lip with his thumb. "You are very cute."

He took a deep breath. Regreting it as her pheromones were still active. Adrien immeditiatly left the bed getting thrown every curse word in book by Plagg. Who was not to keen one being thrown to the side like some stuff animal.

Adrien did not want to deal with the consequences of having decrepit thoughts. But he found himself a bit too late. A possible side effect of the first half of his fantasty. "Shit!" He did not feel that a rut was coming on but fear that it might if let himself reach his peek form.

Adrien shook his head not wanting to tell Marinette all the details of his insomnia. "We probably shouldn't cuddle, not that I don't like it... its just caused a little bit of a problem."

"Okay, I'm not much of a cuddler anyway." She went over to the desk and leaned over him. Trying to see how much work he had gotten done. Kinda hoping that he felt guilty enough to do the whole project. She scrolled through pages and pages of notes. "You sure got a lot done. Keep up the good work, handsome."

"Well... I uhhh is it hot in here?"

"Stop it. You're getting yourself purposely worked up."

He turned the chair and pulled her onto his lap. Her back facing him as he held her snuggly in place.

"Adrien! So help me! If you trigger my heat!"

"I have better control then that."

"Apparently not." A comment that was in reference to the amount of times he let his urges take the lead. Including his latest self relief.

Adrien pouted knowing she was right. He put himself in situations that would have repercussions. Repercussions that hurled him back into his moral dilemma. Marinette or Ladybug? "Marinette..." He rested his chin on her shoulder.

"Are you not going to purr, my little kitten?" Marinette teased as she started to review his notes. A distraction she welcomed as she did not what to fall into animalistic cravings.

"Hardy har har. You better be glad your cute, Dupain-Cheng."

Marinette cocked her head as she read the words on the screen. "It is recommended for pairs to exchange gifts that smell like each other. To ease separate anxiety. Its easy enough to just sleep with said item then give it to your partner." Then there was a bullet point and a link. She was curious and couldn't resist but to click it. It was a link to a limited edition squishmallow.

"What is this?"

He buried his face into her shoulder. "I am ashamed of myself."

"Planning on buying this for your girlfriend?" She teased hoping that he was buying it for Ladybug as she would love another squishy added to her ever growing connection.

"I was planning on buying it for you." He thought that she'd point out that what he wanted to do was directed to pairs. Something that they weren't.

"Me? That's really generous of you."

"You don't think I am over stepping?"

"Well... kinda but I can't exactly pass up on Jack the Black Cat. Are you crazy? There's only five hundred of him in circulation. Besides you have given me plenty of gifts before. And Jack is the only black cat that won't squish me in bed."

"Yeh, you're right it's a bad idea." He moved the mouse prepared to remove the link.

"No! Don't you dare. I can't afford him!"

Adrien laughed as Marinette grabbed his hand before he could highlight the link and hit the backspace. "Are you taking advantage of me?"

"I didn't exactly befriend you because of your looks." She covered her mouth as she just replied to him as if they were their Alter Egos. She insulted ChatNoir often enough in the past when she trying to deter his crush.

He began to untangle her hair with his fingers. "And here I thought I was the only one with claws."

"Sorry..." She did not mean to insult his looks which he worked so hard on.

"Words of degradation is my love language."

"Lies." She thought of the many times he caved when he called him, handsome, cute, or sexy. How red his face would get as ChatNoir when the tables were turned. "You're too much of a romantic."

"If that's true then I'm the worst romantic."

"Is this about you and Ladybug? Because I-"

Adrien cut her sentence off. He knew Marinette would take the selfless option. Let him have Ladybug despite what that decision would do to her. How that would destroy her. "Marinette, I don't want to talk about her with you. It's too hard."

"Adrien, we can't dance around the subject forever."

"Can't we? Because it would be so much easier if we did and besides I'm quite a good dancer."

"I am-" Her concentration broken with the sound of footsteps and the creaking of the wooden boards. She sprung from Adrien's lap onto the trapdoor. She used her full body weight to hold down the trap door as she did not want either of her parents to discover that she had Adrien Agreste in her room.

A loud masculine voice questioned why the trap door wasn't working.  "Marinette?!"

"Yes, Papa?"

"You're going to be late for school."

"Oh... well.. uh.. knock first!" Another moment ruined. She just wanted to tell Adrien and get it over with at this point. It was a secert that was starting to feel like burden.
