Soon enough, I find the row in which the book is supposed to be. I see a black-haired guy that is reading from a book. He was so immersed in it that he didn't even notice me getting closer to him, searching for my book. When I was right next to him, he suddenly noticed me with the corner of his eyes and did a small jump-scare.

"Oh, sorry." he says. "I didn't notice you there."

"It's okay. I hope I didn't scare you too much." I say, laughing.

"No, no, it's okay." he says. "Oh, wait. Let me move away so that you have access to the books here."

"Oh, thank you."

Looking a bit more, my eyes land on the Microbiology book. Sadly, it's too high up. Trying to see if I can reach it, I notice that I am a bit too small. Seeing if that boy is still around, I notice him continuing to read.

"Um." I say. "Do you mind if you reach out for that book? It's a bit too high up for me."

"Oh, sure. No problem." he says, taking that book away from the other books that were on the shelf. "There you go."

"Thank you very much." I say after receiving it.

"I see that it is a book on Microbiology. Are you interested in that?" he asks.

"Well, a bit. But I'm not sure how much I would enjoy reading a book this thick." I say, looking at the book that was in my hands, that appeared to have around 600 pages. "I have some homework to do and I need this book for it."

"Oh, good luck." he says. "Then I'll let you go back to studying."

"Thank you once more for the help." I say

After getting back to my desk, I sit down and open my notebook to see what I have to read from the book.

"I see that you found it." Nao says.

"Yes, I did. When you're finished with the Anatomy homework, I'll give you the book as well." I say.

"Awesome, thanks. Now let's continue with the homework."

"Sure." 

Although I thought that all parts of Biology were hard, it appears that I could understand Microbiology. The more I searched through that book to do my homework, the more I got to find out how interesting this part of Biology was. I think I actually found one thing from Biology that I like. 

With this enthusiasm, I continue doing my homework until it is over. I am amazed at how fast I did it. Afterwards, Nao and I take a quick break to eat from some lunch boxes that my mom prepared in the morning, and we continue with our homework: Nao with the Microbiology homework and I with the one at Anatomy. 

Ten minutes into reading what I have to do and I want to go back to Microbiology. Sadly, I know that this homework is also a must, so I take my pen out and start writing down the answers to the questions.

After we both finish our homework at Anatomy and Microbiology, I go put the book back to its place. Seeing that the boy from earlier is no longer around, I struggle a bit but manage to put it back to its place.

Going outside of the library, I see how dark it already was, but then, it's already 6 o'clock so I shouldn't be surprised. Heading home, we talk a bit more about the contest the professor asked me to participate in earlier that day.

"I'm sure that if you go, you are going to win first prize." Nao says.

"I wouldn't be that sure. I bet it's very hard as the professor didn't ask the whole class to participate." I say.

"No... He didn't ask everyone because he can't send too many students and then, if a lot of people wanted to go, he would have to select only a few and it would be hard for him to do that. And there would be discussions like 'The professor prefers him.' or 'He's receiving special treatment.' and so on."

"Um... That could be a reason, I guess. Now let's just go. I can't wait to eat dinner and then get in bed to sleep." I say. "This day was just too long."

"I agree."

'It's like my day had 38 hours instead of just 24. 18 hours in the present and then another 20 here.' I think. 

After we reach my home, I bid goodbye to Nao until the next day and go inside.

"You've arrived, dear." my Mom greets me from inside the kitchen.

"Yes, I did." I say.

"Let's eat then." my Dad says. "And then you can go to your room to study some more. But first, go change."

"Yes, all right." I say.

Getting back after changing out of my uniform, I want to sit at the table when I hear my Mom say, "Don't forget to wash your hands."

"Yes."

After eating, I go back to my room to study some more, but I don't even realize when I fall asleep. 

Waking up, I hear my alarm and notice that the decorations of my room have changed back to how it originally was. The uniform that was on the chair is also gone. Going to the closet, I open it and there they are. My normal clothes. Going down, I see my father waiting at the table with his phone in his hands, just like he always does. 

"Good morning, Dad." I say, waiting to see if he says anything about me not calling him Mr. Tanaka.

"Good morning. Did you sleep well?" he asks.

"Yes, although I had a weird dream." I tell him, wondering how come he didn't say anything about his name.

"Hm... interesting. I can't even remember the last time you said you had a dream." my Mom says.

"Yeah... it's been too long."

"Now, let's quickly eat so that you can hurry to school." my Mom says, giving us the bowls full of food to put on the table.

After I'm done eating, I change my clothes, take my backpack and head towards the bus station in order to get to college. Getting on the bus, I sit down and start thinking about everything that has happened to me in the past day, the whole time-travelling thing. Will I go back there or was it just a one-time thing? And how did people know me, when all my life I've been in this lifetime? Was there someone who looked like me in that time and I only re-visited the world in her place?

Trying to decipher what happened, I see that I've reached my station and that I have to get off. Getting off, I meet Mayumi.

"How did you sleep?" she asks me.

"Kinda good. I don't feel tired, but I had a very unusual dream." I tell her. "What about you?"

"I slept well, though you have to tell me more about that dream of yours."

"Yes, of course I will. But not right now." I say, seeing Haru getting closer to us.
