Hibari and the man before him stared at each other intensely. As this happened, the man opened his gates once more. Suddenly a spear was fired from the gate and was heading towards Illya. The moment this happened, Avenger jumped in front of her as it swung the hook in its jaw to deflect the Noble Phantasm.

"It's fast. It might even be faster than Berserker......."

"Why are you surprised, Golden Carnivore?"

As the man was distracted, Hibari appeared before him. The man quickly drew a sword from one of his gates as he used it to protect himself from the onslaught of strikes Hibari was aiming at him with his tonfa in hand. The man noticed something as this happened, he was being pushed back with each strike.

"How is this possible? That boy........he must be using a rare Mystic Code in order to have enough strength to push me back."

"Hmm, that's strange. You overwhelmed that behemoth earlier, and yet........"

As Hibari said this, he saw a gate opening behind him. Seeing this, he swiftly jumped to the side in order to avoid a sword being shot into his previous location. While this happened, the man smiled as he opened more of his gates as he launched even more Noble Phantasms at the boy.

"Wow. Looks like the fun is just about to start."

As Hibari said this, he held a medium sized Needle Sphere in his hand. When he jumped in the air, he uses the Cloud Flames characteristic of Propagation to increase the sphere's size and made the spikes on them extend as they clashed with the weapons that the man launched at him.

"I have a debt to pay, so i'll let him deal with you for a moment."

As Hibari said this, he was walking towards Illya. While this happened, Avenger quickly lunged towards the blonde-haired man as it swung its claws at him. As the man jumped back to avoid the claws, the headless rider's cape had a sharp edge comparable to a blade as it slammed down the cape upon the man. As this happened, Hibari made it to Illya's side.

"Hibari nii-chan.....Berserker i-"

"I can't have you dying on me, otherwise my debt will never be repaid. Besides, you said so yourself. This is part of my territory, correct? It only makes sense I punish the person responsible for attacking my territory."

As Hibari said this, he lifts Illya off the ground comparable to how a prince picks up the princess. While Hibari walked up the stairs, he felt Illya holding onto him tightly. When he looked to the side, he was sure he felt someone's presence, but that was no longer the issue.

"Illyasviel von Einzbern, you get out of this building as fast as you can."

"Hibari.....what about yo-"

"Do you want me to bite the Golden Carnivore to death?"

Illya was starting to understand what Hibari was trying to say. He can't protect her and fight against the enemy at the same time. As Hibari lets her down, Illya looked towards the boy and then he whispered into her ear. After she saw him nod his head, Illya ran off as Hibari jumped back down to the main floor to fight against the blonde man.

"Ookami-san!"

When Avenger heard Hibari's voice, it quickly dashed towards him. The moment it went past Hibari, it looked at the boy as he heard him mumble something under his breath.

"You get the other prey. Leave the Golden Carnivore to me."

As Avenger heard this, it nod its head as it followed the scent of another human in this castle. The moment this happened, the blonde man opened more gates and launched several weapons at Hibari and Avenger's retreating form. However, the moment this happened, Hibari lifts his right arm into the air.

"Did you think I would make things easy for you, Golden Carnivore?"

The moment Hibari said this, several Needle Sphere's that he threw in the air suddenly grew in size as their spikes extended. The man was impressed by Hibari's actions. Using the sphere itself a shield of sorts, while also using the spikes on the spheres to attack. With a smile on his face, the man spoke to Hibari.

"Hibari Kyoya, are you siding with that doll? Has the sound of that doll's crying caused some sort of change within you to make you go against your nature? Do you actually want to save worthless "herbivores" now?"

"I am on no one's side. I just do as I like. When someone attacks my territory, I attack them. The only one who determines my actions is myself. But you're misunderstanding something. In some cases, not all herbivores are weaklings. Otherwise they would have all been eradicated from the Earth long ago. You see....even small animals have a way to survive."

As Hibari said this, Avenger jumped in front of him. However, before the man launched more Noble Phantasms at the duo, he saw the wolf carrying a boy by the back of their shirt in its jaw. As Shinji looked forward, he began to squirm.

"Gilgamesh! Help me already!!!!"

"Shut up."

As Hibari said this, Avenger dropped Shinji to the ground. The moment this happened, Hibari kicked Shinji's face with his right foot and sent him flying towards Gilgamesh. While this happened, Hibari threw several Needle Spheres towards Shinji and Gilgamesh. Suddenly the spheres rapidly grew in size along with the spikes. While Gilgamesh dragged Shinji and walked through his gate, he saw Hibari hop on Avenger's back as they dashed out of the castle.

"Hibari Kyoya.........it seems you and I will have a little game going on between us. A game with the vessel of the Grail at stake."

~Thirty minutes later~

"Meet me at the usual spot."

Those were the words Hibari spoke to her while she was in the castle. As Illya sat on the bench, she thought about everything that happened. Sella and Leysritt were gone. Her castle reduced to nothing but rubble. Now even Berserker is gone. Her home, everything she had, was now gone.

"I'm.....all alone........"

"It seems you actually took my advice, Little Carnivore."

As Illya looked ahead, she saw one person standing before her. Hibari walked forward as Hibird rests on his right shoulder. As for Avenger, he had the servant wait for him at his home for the moment. While Hibari stood next to the bench Illya was sitting on, Illya spoke to him.

"Why did you want to see me?"

"Simple. Leaving you at my other territory would basically make repaying my debt worthless."

"Didn't you only want to save me because you wanted to fight Berserker?! A carnivore is someone you want to bite to death. Someone strong that you'll be satisfied beating in a fight, right?! Hate to tell you this, but the carnivore you want to fight is already dead!!!! So why do you want to bother with me even when you know that!!!!!"

The only reason Shirou and Rin went to her was because they needed Berserker. The only reason Illya was feared by them was because of Berserker. Now that he's gone, what good is she on her own. As she looked at Hibari, he merely looked at her. Soon he began to walk away. While this happened, she began to wonder.

"Did he only see me because I was Berserker's Master? Was he only acting on friendly terms because Berserker was on my side? Are you going to leave me too....Hi-"

"You seem to be mistaken, Illyasviel von Einzbern. Berserker isn't the one that made you a force of nature, it's you that made Berserker so threatening. Besides, that Golden Carnivore tore up my new territory didn't he? Just as the world won't stop rotating until you feel better, I won't stop biting things to death until order is maintained. Besides.....I can tell. If you caused trouble on my territory, i'd have more fun tearing you apart than I would with Tohsaka and Emiya. You're a carnivore i'd happily fight against."

It wasn't a gesture made out of kindness. He wasn't here to cheer her up. He merely stated how much respect he had for her. Illya didn't even know what to say. As she looked at Hibari, she said one thing as she suddenly latched herself onto him.

"Thank you......Hibari nii-chan."

As Illya hugged Hibari, the boy sighed as he picked her up and began to walk home. The longer she's out here, the more likely Gilgamesh will find her and likely cause damage to his territory. As she was being carried by Hibari, Illya planted her face into his chest as she began to realize the answer to her question that she asked herself after meeting Hibari for the first time. The question of why she was so drawn to him.

"He rarely shows positive emotion. He walks with purpose and weight on his shoulders. Yet......this warmth. I finally realized it. I realize why i'm so drawn to him. He's so similar to him in some ways. This warmth......if you were here, if you were in Hibari-san's place....i'm sure....I might feel this same warmth. Hibari's warmth...is just like your's back then, Papa."
