I was trapped.

If I moved, I would be noticed. Surely due to my shining scales in the obscure waters. However, if I stayed, I would still be noticed. They were coming my way.

They inched closer, swimming leisurely, taking in the view of the magnificent terrain underwater.

If I didn't do something soon, the terrain won't be the only thing they focus on.

I scuffled a bit, scooting as far back and out of sight as possible. As far as I could tell, I was safe for now.

But, again, if they get any closer, I am sure they'll notice the strange glowing purple light emanating from my tail.

I curled my massive tail around myself, farther out of sight and darkened in the shadows.

That seemed to have been a mistake. Sand swished up and out it a prominent cloud, quickly grabbing the divers' attention.

A big bulky one with a white tuft of hair swam in front of the other more feminine two, almost protectively.

The smallest got out a small device, not noticing what the bulky diver had done, and began creating flashes as she aimed at the vegetation and fish near her.

I think it was a her at least... it looked like a girl.

My gaze flew back to the bulky diver, obviously a man, and noticed that he was far too close.

I swung my head back, hitting it on the wall of the inside of my cover accidentally. I bit my lip, preventing myself from making a sound.

Just as the mans hand grasp the edges of the entrance to pull himself inside, a clicking sound spread through the waters.

There were shouts of excitement coming from the other divers, muffled by their masks and water. The bulky man quickly retreated and swam back to his fellow divers.

I carefully peeked out to see a couple dolphins swimming about, playing with them and, most importantly, drawing their attention away.

One, who was not so busy tapping his nose on the divers arms, nodded at me. The dolphins must have sensed my distress from nearby.

Often times, and thankfully so, dolphins, more than any other sea creature I've met, pick up my distress signals. These signals being a certain vibration formed by my webbed ears.

Sometimes, it's a certain stink secreted from my scales, which can turn into poison, however, it's not the most effective when calling for help.

I smiled, giving a thumbs up. The dolphin gave a happy click before swimming away with the others and the divers.

I quickly, before the divers had a chance to come back, swam away.

Unfortunately, my curiosity got the better of me.

Why were they so far out? Who were they? And what are or were they doing?

So, in hopes of answering these questions, I stayed close by.

In the back of my head, however, I had a reoccurring feeling that this was not only going to be the worst choice of my life, but also the best.

ÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖ

I was minding my own business as Hunk struggled to throw his line in the water. He kept getting the hook stuck in the collar of his shirt and pulling it over his head when he tried to throw the line.

It was honestly hilarious. That is, until he started choking.

It took a few minutes of getting the shirt back in place, and not around Hunks neck.

With that fixed and Hunk finally successfully throwing the line, I sat back down with my own line calmly floating away in the water.

It seemed to be an hour before the line was pulled. By the feel of it, I got a big one, a really big one.

In excitement, I shot up and excitedly started shouting about my soon to be catch.

"HUNK, HUNK! I GOT ONE!"

I pulled on the line, only for a body to shoot out of the waters and topple over me.

I groaned and whined as Pidge got up and off of me.

"So, you were the one who caught me... Im not a fish, Lance." She said.

"I know.." I groaned out.

I sat up on my elbows and, with effort, got up on to my feet.

That's when I realized that Hunk, along with everybody else, including the divers, were having a good laugh at me.
