Something about him was different, everyone around him knew that. From the way he spoke to the way he looks at life.

When he was young she was passed off as an imaginary friend, nothing out of the ordinary. He lived and played, made friends and loved his family. It was when he was six and his mom was marrying stupid Gabe Ugliano that people's thoughts began to change.

Suddenly Clara was strange, people asked if he knew she was fake, made up. But Dalus always responded the same way. Clara was real, he knew it. She cared about him and Percy bunches. Like the time she told him how to get the two of them away from the dangerous looking one eyed man by the playground.

He knew Clara was real because she wasn't like the other kids boring imaginary friends. And because Dalus knew everything she did, he knew why.

Clara was dead. If a life that never really existed could be dead.She had memories from early childhood to like when she got really old.

Dalus knew all about what was going on around him. Or at least the gist of it.

Clara when she was kinda old knew his baby brother, and Percy talked about his life with her. Except when Percy in those memories talked, he never once mentioned Dalus. He only started mentioning siblings when he was old too. A baby sister, definitely not Dalus.

So when he and Percy were six, when the adults began to worry, Clara finally told Dalus what she thought happened.

He heard her like he always did, in his head.

Dal, I think I might have been reborn into the same body as you. It shouldn't be possible. Pluto keeps track of all reborn souls, but somehow I slipped through. The mortals- the adults honey- I don't think you should tell them about me anymore, tell them I went away.
