Summer POV

We had no way to escape, maybe I could have gotten (y/n) out of the way with my semblance, but he probably would never forgive me for letting his sister die. But before I could do anything (y/n) ran out in front of all of us, "TRACE ON!" He shouted and a large shield of energy formed over all of us. The shield blocked all the arrows that would have hit us, suddenly he passed out. "I...is he?" I asked, "He's fine, he just used up all of his mana at once." Tohka said as she picked him up, "Saber, kill Archer and her master!" She ordered, "As you wish master." Saber said as a strange red and black sword appeared in her hands. I was furious that the woman who claimed to be (y/n)'s mother would intentionally put his life in danger, I drew my Twilight Rose and fired off a few shots at Rin, "Saber I'll handle Rin you just keep Archer occupied!" I said as I flew up to Rin using my semblance.

"HOW DARE YOU PUT YOUR CHILD IN DANGER!" I yelled as I switched Twilight Rose to its scythe mode and slashed at her, "I WOULD GIVE ANYTHING TO BE ABLE TO GO HOME AN BE WITH MY KIDS AGAIN, SO SEEING YOU PUT YOUR SON IN HARM'S WAY JUST PROVES TO ME THAT YOUR NOT WORTHY OF BEING HIS MOTHER, NOW DIE!" I shouted as she dodged my slashes, suddenly she fired some strange energy attack at me knocking me back a bit, "And would you know about it! Your just some heroic spirit!" Rin shouted, I began to laugh, "I'm no heroic spirit honey, I'm just the White Rose." I said as I ran at her using my semblance, but before I could reach her a third servant showed up and hit me with her sword.

"Very good Berserker, and as for you mom I think a tactical retreat in in order." Hiro said, "TRACE ON!" (y/n) shouted as he kicked Berserker in the face while welding what appeared to be a short sword version of Twilight Rose.

(y/n) POV

I woke up in my sister's arms, '(y/n) save Summer!' A man said in my head, "S...Summer w...where's Summer?" I asked, "Shh don't speak you need to save your strength, Summer is up there fighting mother." Tohka said, "S...she's in danger!" I said, "SABER! I need to get up there!" I said as I got out of Tohka's arms, "Understood!" Saber said as she picked me up and threw me.

'CRAP I DIDN'T THINK THIS THROUGH!' I thought, 'What would Dad do? OH I know!' I thought, "TRACE ON!" I shouted as I kicked someone with a large red and black sword in the face, I might not have stuck the landing, but at least I made it. I skidded across the floor on my back and the right half of my body until I hit the door on the other half of the room. "I did it! Now stay away from Summer!" I said as I got up and raised my sword, "S...Shirou." Rin said in shock, "Berserker kill him." Hiro said calmly, Berserker nodded and walked towards me. She raised her blade and slashed down at me, luckily her blade got caught in the door. She began to laugh, "Don't think your safe just because I got my sword stuck for now little boy." Berserker said as she stomped on the ground causing the floor to crack and rise on both sides of me, I fell backwards and her sword began to cut through the door. I was terrified, I couldn't think or move as her blade slowly descended upon me. I was running out of time when I realized something very important, I began to laugh, "Damn kid you must have quite the pair on ya if you can laugh in the face of your imminent death." She said, "It's not that I just remembered something about my sword." I said, "Oh and what would that be?" She asked, "It's also a gun." I said as I switched it to gun mode and shot Berserker.  She released her blade and collapsed down to the floor and began to scream in pain, "BERSERKER! You little shi-" Hiro began to say, but was interrupted by Summer kicking him in the stomach, "N...NEXT TIME I SWEAR I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!" He shouted as he and Rin retreated. "WHAT'S GOING ON IN HERE!?" Aunt Sakura shouted as she opened the doors to the study and as soon as the doors opened I fell backwards onto my back. "Hi Aunt Sakura, I umm cant explain any of this." I said as I passed out again.

Sakura POV

After (y/n) passed out I got really worried, "Don't worry Aunt Sakura (y/n) is fine he just used all his mana and somehow mana that he didn't have." Tohka said as he servant jumped with her into the room, "Tohka dear what happened here?" I asked, "Well that's kinda hard to explain..." Summer said, "No, no it's really not. Mother, Mother happened. She some how got past all of my wards I placed on the room and Archer almost killed (y/n)!" Tohka said angrily, "W...wait she was here?!" I said angrily, "She has no right to even THINK about (y/n) after abandoning him!" I said, "I AM GOING TO KILL HER! I DON'T CARE THAT SHE IS MY SISTER OR THAT SHE HAS A SERVANT TO PROTECT HER!" I shouted, "Aunt Sakura why are you getting so upset? We handled it with very minimal property damage and zero casualties so I don't see any reason why you should be upset considering we're in the grail war." She said, "BECAUSE IF ANYONE HERE IS HIS MOTHER IT'S ME! I dropped everything when your father called and asked me to come help with the baby, two damn months later he goes off and gets himself killed by the woman he loved. She never once cared about (y/n), she loved to play favorites and she loved Hiro best, but not me I was there for every fencing match, I was there for every soccer game. So tell me Tohka what has Rin ever done for you." I said as I picked (y/n) up and carried him to his room.

(y/n) POV

"Are you alright Master?" A man said, but before I could answer his question I woke up.

"Good morning sweetheart." Summer said sweetly, "S...Summer where am I?" I asked, "It's alright sweetie, you're in your room. You've been unconscious for about three days now Tohka said it was because you accessed something called true magic for a short time." She said, "Now it's time to get up, you have to go to your sister's house." She said as she walked over to my closet and began picking out an outfit for me.

"Summer do we have time for breakfast?" I asked, "I don't see why not. I'll make you my specialty." Summer said as she walked into the kitchen and began to get ingredients out.

She began to cook while I watched her from behind the island. "Hey Summer can you please tell me about your kids?" I asked innocently, she recoiled a bit when I said this, "S...sure sweetie what would you like to know?" Summer asked, "Just whatever your willing to tell me." I said, "How do you even know that I had children?" She asked, "Oh a voice in my head told me." I said, "Ok we'll revisit that later. Well you're right I had two daughters, the oldest, Yang, was three and she wasn't even my biological daughter, but I loved her all the same. And the youngest was named Ruby, she would have been almost a year old. I loved them both dearly. I often find myself thinking "There is absolutely nothing I wouldn't do if it meant that I could see my children again", but lately I realized that there a lines that I can't cross no matter what, one of those lines is killing you for my own goals." She said, she laughed slightly, "Sorry sweetie I got a bit dark there for a moment. How about I tell you more about Yang." She said, "Ok that sounds nice." I said, "Well Yang was a very kind and sweet girl, she absolutely loved to help me whenever she could. Just don't touch her hair, I still remember her first haircut." She said with a laugh, "Well the food's ready, OH and I made you a little something. It's not much, but it'll keep you safe if you really need to use it." She said as she walked out into the garage and came back with a box. "What is it?" I asked, "Go ahead and open it." She said as she handed me the box. I tore open the box and saw the hilt of a short sword or a dagger. "What is it?" I asked, "It's an energy dagger. I saw that you somehow took Twilight Rose and turned it into a sword, but you're just a little kid and I couldn't ever expect you to do something like that every time you're in danger and I'm not there to protect you. This just seemed like a way to highlight your skills with a blade, while preserving your mana." She said as I activated the dagger.

"Thank you so much Summer." I said, "Well it was both me and Sakura's idea, but for now you need to eat and then we will head over to Tohka's place." She said, I nodded and began to eat the food she made me.

"Tohka we're here!" I shouted as Summer and I entered her house. Well we called it a house, but in reality it was a large two story mansion. Each of us had our own mansions given to us by dad in his will. Since I'm still too young to live alone, I live with Aunt Sakura in my mansion. Tohka's mansion's interior had hardwood flooring for the majority of the house, the kitchen had tile flooring, while the living room was carpeted. She had two large leather couches, a metal and glass coffee table,and a large flat screen tv in her living room. The kitchen had granite countertops and a matching island, and nice wooden and glass cabinets. The dining room connected with the kitchen, there wasn't much there just a large wooden table and eight matching chairs. The first floor restroom was pretty basic, it had a toilet and a sink and that was about it. Then there was Tohka's private library, it had three large bookshelves filled with books on any subject you could think of, it had a large back window that looked out at the second patio, there was a desk and a few chairs as well. "Tohka where are you?!" I called as I walked further into the house, suddenly I noticed the round table placed in the center of the entrance. It had a sculpture of Excalibur in the center, but the sculpture was surrounded by pictures of me and my sister. I walked around the table slowly, I admired and took a mental image of each photo I saw. Finally I came to a picture of Tohka holding me while Aunt Sakura sat behind us watching us, I felt the urge to pick up the picture and just look at it, I didn't try to fight it. "So you like that one do you." Tohka said as she walked down the stairs, I quickly sat it back down where I found it, "It's ok (y/n) I like that one too." She said, I turned around and looked at her. Tohka wore a black and blue shirt, a matching skirt, and a pair of heels, unlike last time I saw her where she wore a blue T-shirt with a little design on the front, a pair of blue jeans, and some tennis shoes. "Tohka you look very pretty." I said as I ran to hug her, suddenly Saber knocked me down and placed her blade against my back, SABER WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS!" She yelled angrily, "I'm sorry my lady, but it's my duty to protect you from any and all threats, and it appears that your brother has come armed." Saber said, "(y/n) is this true?" Tohka asked, "Y...yes I'm sorry, I just wanted to show you the gift Summer made for me honest." I said, "Saber let him go." She said calmly, Saber nodded and got off me. "(y/n) did she hurt you?" She asked, "No I'm alright." I said as I got up.

Tohka POV

I walked over to (y/n) and gave him a hug, suddenly I felt something wet on his back. "Saber are there any poisons lacing your sword?" I asked calmly, "No my lady there are no poisons on my blade, I see the use of a poisoned blade an act of cowardice." Saber said, "Good I shall punish you for attacking my brother later." I said, "Now (y/n) I need you to take your shirt off for me alright." I said sweetly, "Ok." (y/n) said as he took off his shirt, "Ok turn around for me." I said, he did as he was told and I saw a deep puncture wound on his back, I began to heal his wound, "And all done. I'll put this in the wash." I said as I took his shirt and took it to the washing machine to wash out the blood. 

"Ok while that's being washed, Saber I want you to go get (y/n) a new shirt from his house." I ordered, Saber bowed and vanished. "Tohka why are we here?" (y/n) asked, "Well a good friend of mine wanted to talk with me about this years grail war, he's actually the real overseer of the war, he's also a survivor of the last grail war. His name is Tatsumi Kitano, former master of Saber also known as King Arthur." I said, "Really King Arthur!" He said in shock, "Yep that't right, he should be her in about an hour so go ahead and do whatever you want until he gets here." I said, suddenly Saber returned, "Mistress I have retrieved a new shirt for (y/n)." She said, "Thanks Saber." (y/n) said as he put the shirt on, "Hey um Saber do you think that you can practice swordplay with me?" He asked, Saber looked at me, I sighed, "Ok I don't see why not, but you will not cut, stab, or harm him understood." I said, "Yes mistress." She said as she and (y/n) left. "Is there anything I can do?" Summer asked, "Yes actually, I have some things to take care of before Tatsumi gets here, so if you could make sure things don't get too heated between (y/n) and Saber and step in if things begin to escalate that would be a great help." I said, "Alright I can do that." She said as she joined (y/n) and Saber out in the backyard.

(y/n) POV

"Are you ready to begin?" Saber asked, "Almost I wanna practice with a sword I haven't used in a long time." I said, she nodded, "Trace on." I said and a katana formed in my hand.

"(y/n) that blade is absolutely beautiful!" Summer said excitedly, "Thanks, it's the first sword I ever made with my magic. No one else knows this, but I didn't exactly have anyone to teach me magic. Dad had Kiritsugu to tell him what to do to an extent, but all I had were a big box full of dvd's dad made for me telling me what I'd need to know if I wanted to be a mage. Saying it was difficult for me to learn anything would be an understatement, but I followed the first rule, never give up, and I never did until eventually I made this all on my own." I said as I readied my blade.

Saber rushed at me and slashed at my legs, I jumped backwards to dodge and ran at her and slashed at her rapidly. She blocked and dodged all of my attacks, I smirked and sprinted around her until I was behind her, I sprinted at her. She slashed at me, but I slid through her legs and cut the inner thigh of her right leg, I quickly got up and landed two cuts on her back. "THATS IT! AESTUS DOMU-" Saber began to shout until a man stopped her from swinging her sword and finishing her sentence. "Now, now Saber you shouldn't reveal you Nobel Phantasm just like that." He said, "W...who are you?" I asked, "I'm Tatsumi Kitano nice to meet you." He said, "You've got pretty decant survival instincts kid what's your name?" He asked, "(y/n), (y/n) Emiya, nice to meet you." I said, "Wait wait wait, your that (y/n)?! Tohka talks about you all the time!" He said, "Wait what? Why would she talk about me?" I asked, "We tell each other everything, and like the good boyfriend I am I actually listen." He said, "Umm Summer whats he talking about?" I asked, Summer explained what boyfriends and girlfriends do in extensive detail. "Die!" I said as I chased him around the backyard. "WHAT IS GOING ON BACK HERE?!" Tohka yelled, "TOHKA WHY DIDN'T YOU WARN ME ABOUT YOU BROTHER?!" He yelled, "Summer explain!" She said, "I'M GONNA KILL HIM!" I yelled, "SUMMER STOP HIM!" She yelled, "Okay sweetie I think that's enough trying to kill your sister's boyfriend for now." Summer said as she picked me up.

"Ok we've calmed down now?" Tatsumi asked, "Yes." I said, "Ok then, Tohka I wanted to talk about an anomaly in this years grail war." He said, "Wait what kind of anomaly?" Tohka asked, "All seven servants have been summoned, but for the first time there's an eighth servant this year, and I have a feeling they are with us right now." He said, "Your talking about Summer aren't you." I said, "(y/n) Summer isn't a Heroic Spirit, I don't even think she's from this world." He said, "I DON'T CARE!" I shouted, "She cares about me unlike most people who just abandon me!" I said, "(y/n) don't go there!" He said, "No no he has a point, he has every right to be angry with me. (y/n) I'm sorry for abandoning you and living you at Hiro's nonexistent mercy, I just couldn't stay." Tohka said, "YOU COULD HAVE TAKEN ME WITH YOU! Hiro tried to kill me more than once and for the first time I was alone." I said, "Ok ok enough unresolved issues for now, (y/n) I want you to use a command seal on Summer to make her do something that would go against what she believes in or would willingly do." He said, I nodded, "Trace on." I said and my first sword appeared in my hand, "Summer I order you with a command seal... destroy my sword." I said as the part of the command seal glowed and then faded, "NO! I would never do that to you." Summer said, "Intriguing she's unaffected by her own command seals. Thanks (y/n) now allow me to replace that seal you lost." He said as he grabbed my hand and replaced my command seal, suddenly my arm began to burn, I collapsed to the ground and screamed in pain, "WHAT DID YOU DO?!" Tohka yelled, "Stop let this happen!" He ordered, "No he's my baby brother I cant let this happen!" She said, the pain began to die down and there was a strange glow from beneath my sleeve. "(y/n) I want you to lift your sleeve and show us what's there." He said, I nodded and rolled up my sleeve and saw a second set of command seals.

"What did you do to him?!" Tohka yelled, "All I did was replace on command seal this was already here, he just didn't have enough mana for it to manifest properly. Welcome to the grail war kid your either the master of Lancer of Caster since they are the only two who I have no idea who their master is." Tatsumi said, "Now tell me what were you thinking about when you summoned Summer?" He asked, I didn't answer, "(y/n) you don't have to tell us if you don't want to." She said, "All I could think about was if mom and dad would be proud of me, I just wanted one of them to see what I did all on my own." I said, "I see so you weren't focused on your wish then." He said, "No I wasn't, but I don't care anymore I have Summer and she's the best thing that could have happened to me." I said calmly.
