You settled into your gaming chair as you booted up your computer. Today was going to be an extraordinary day, one that you had been anticipating for a long time. The legendary host of the show "Love or Host", a streamer by the name of Austin, had invited you on! And not only that, but he had decided to feature you as the main contestant! It was unreal!!

As you logged-on to all the necessary accounts, you couldn't help but feel excitement bubble up inside you. The road from YouTube to Twitch had been a rocky one, but fate had turned in your favor after a few months on the platform. Suddenly, your small streams were in high demand, with fans from all over the world requesting more content.

Creators were asking you left and right for collabs, and who were you to say no? The chance to interact with some of the best streamers on the platform motivated you to keep pursuing collab opportunities. And if your fans enjoyed it, then why not?

This is what ultimately led you to agree to participate in "Love or Host": to meet new people and to entertain your fans. You sighed in content as you placed your headphones over your ears; today was going to be fun.

"Welcome, streamers, to another episode of 'Love or Host'!" Austin's voice boomed over the voice call. "Let's give it up for today's contestant- Y/n!!"

You gave your webcam a small smile and a gentle wave. "Hi, everyone." At the moment, you and Austin were the only people on screen; you wondered who else would be joining you later in the episode.

"Y/n, how are you today?"

You shyly averted your eyes, twirling your finger around a loose curl in your hair. "I'm good. How are you?"

"Aww, I'm doing good. Thank you for asking!" Austin replied. "Now, this is your first time on 'Love or Host', isn't it, Y/n? Are you nervous?"

You shrugged your shoulders and said, "Of course I am, but I'm excited to be here! I can't wait to see who else is on the show!"

"Good to hear, Y/n. Good to hear. And you should be excited...because THE CAST OF THE DREAM SMP IS HERE!!"

You couldn't help but gasp. The Dream SMP was here? On this show?! You couldn't believe your luck- They were your favorite group of streamers! Your amazement only grew as one after another, members of the famed Minecraft server trickled in. The screen lit up with streamer after streamer of DSMP royalty: Dream, Eret, George, Puffy, Sapnap, Niki, JSchlatt, Tommy, Wilbur, Quackity, and- "Including surprise guest, Minx!!"

The chatter between friends slowly died down, and each member introduced themselves to the audience, but you remained oddly quiet. You sat still, staring at the screen in complete awe.

Austin must have sensed something was off, as his voice broke through your trance moments later. "Uh, Y/n? You doing okay?"

You jolted back to reality. Everyone was looking at you with varying degrees of concern and amusement. You covered your mouth with your hand, and turned away from the camera. "Ahh! I'm so embarrassed!" you confessed, your face turning red. "I know who all of you are, it's just- You're my favorite streamers! I can't believe I get to meet you all right now!" A few of the members chuckled lightly, a few burst out laughing.

"Aww, Y/n, you're going to do fine," Nihachu cooed.

"Yeah, you have nothing to worry about," Puffy added. "We're all friends here."

"The only ones you gotta worry about are JSchlatt and Tommy," Minx spoke up. "Those two loud motherfuckers will talk yer ear off."

You laughed at Minx's roast as the two mentioned boys tried to defend themselves. "I do NOT! I do NOT!" JSchlatt shouted. "Those are LIES. LIES, Y/n!"

"What?!" Tommy squawked. "That's ridiculous! And I don't' go on as much as Wilbur- He's the one that'll go on and on about fucking God knows what."

Wilbur scoffed. "You little gremlin child. Just the other day you went on a rant about how much you hated women!"

"I DID NO SUCH THING!!"

You leaned back in your chair, cackling as the show descended into madness. Austin was quick to break up the fight. "Alright, alright! Guys! Hey! Let's get back to the show."

Once everyone had settled down again, he continued. "Today's show will be 'Platonic Love or Host'. Before the stream, each candidate made the choice if they wanted to love Y/n platonically, or if they wanted to embarrass them in front of 120,000 people."

You gulped. Choosing host was all in good fun, but you seriously hoped someone chose love. It would immensely boost your self-esteem if one of your favorite streamers wanted to pursue a platonic relationship with you...or something more...

"And for the first few rounds, TWO candidates will be eliminated!!" Austin announced. "Not one- TWO! A new speedrun edition of 'Love or Host'!!"

The feral boys wheezed at the Minecraft reference. "Oh, this is gonna be sweet. Let's go!" Dream cheered.

Sapnap smirked. "I can't wait to beat your ass, Dream."

"Well, if anyone's going to win, it's going to be me," George cut in.

"You fuckers don't know shit!" Quackity yelled. "I'm gonna be king of this castle! Me!"

"It seems like everyone's ready," Austin said, reigning in the chaos. "Y/n are you ready?" You nodded and gave your webcam a thumbs-up. "Alright, then! Let's get started- 'Love or Host: Platonic Love Edition'!! Here we go!!"
