And also the chapters are longer than what I usually do, because there is a lot of things in FGO, and I don't want this story to have 63732897429 chapters like a RWBY abused story but with the harem part only

Narrator POV

In the middle of snowy mountains, was located a base, well guarded. This was Chaldea, the security organization for the preservation of Humanity

The organization was charged of recruiting Magus to help them protect mankind. And a new group of young students just arrived to the place

And....... there were already problems

???: Why do you want me to shut up?

???2: Because you kept annoying me for the whole trip you dunce!

???: But we're best buddies, we've knew each other for so long

???2: No we are not! I don't know you, and never will!

???: My mom let you come every Wednesday so you can play and eat with us since your were working, Carl

Carl: JUST LEAVE ME ALONE, IDIOT!

Carl, 19 years old, a very good Magus that have a bright future in the world, and can maybe become a great Master later

???: But my name is not Idiot, it's Y/N, your buddy

Y/N L/N, 19 years old, he can lit a candle thanks to his training, and was taken to Chaldea because there were still free places

Carl: I DO NOT CARE ABOUT IT!

???: Enough!

A powerful voice stop them in their arguement, as every person turn to the owner of the voice, and see the director of Chaldea departement, Olga Mari Animusphere

Olga: What is going on here?!

Y/N: Starting with a greeting would be great. Hi my name is Y/N L/N, nice to meet you

Olga: Silence, I asked for an explanation

Y/N: Oh, sorry

Carl: Well, director Olga Marie, this stranger here, is trying to bring us down with him!

Y/N: But we shared the same chocolate cake my mom made......

Olga: Enough of this, I will let it pass for once, but next time, I will kick you both, understood?

Carl: Yes!

Y/N: Yes Ma'am

Olga: Now follow me, all of you, we're running out of time

She quickly walked away, as all the students walked away, Carl pushing Y/N with his shoulder, glaring at him

Y/N shrugged, as he followed them inside the building

Y/N POV

We were all following that lady called Olga, and she seems tensed 

Everyone seems so...... serious. What am I doing here to begin with?

???: Kyuu!

I stopped in my track, and see a small white trail disappearing in the corridor next to me, as I followed it

???: Fou, Kyuu!

When I was on the corner, I took a deep breath, and saw a small dog or something like that, sitting on the ground, starring at the wall

Y/N: Oh....... He seems fluffy

I decided to approach it, but when I got closer, it saw me, and got on guard

I kneeled in front of him, and extended my hand, smiling

He didn't smell it, but instantly jumped on my arm, then my shoulder, and make itself comfortable 

Y/N: Well, seems like we got the same Idea. I'm Y/N, you?

???: Fou! 

Y/N: Fou, huh? Well, nice to meet ya, Fou

I got up, and walked away, Fou hitting weakly my head

Y/N: Alright alright, I let you down

I kneeled again, as he jumped down, and run away, as I sigh

Y/N: And the only friend I had here runned away......

???: Uhm...... Excuse me?

I turned around, and see a girl with pink hair, glasses, looking at me, nervous

Y/N: Yes?

???: Have you seen a Squirrel like creature? It was there a moment ago, I heard it

Y/N: Oh, you mean Fou? I thought he was a dog

I laughed, but I suddendly felt something hit the back of my head, hard, but I didn't move

I turn around, and see Fou, quite anrgy

Fou: FOU!

???: There you are, Fou!

The girl walked to Fou, but he instantly runned away

She looked down, sadly, as I patted her back, with a small smile

Y/N: Don't look so down, we both don't have friends, so it's cool, right?

???: Y-Yeah.....

Y/N: My name is Y/N, what's yours?

???: I-I don't know if I should give you my name, by how not important I am........

Y/N: Nah, you are important as much as everyone else here

???: R-Really?

Y/N: Yeah!

???: W-Well, my name is Mash, Mash Kyrielight

Y/N: Nice to meet you Mash

???: Ah, Mash, there you are

We stood up, and saw a man with...... green clothes, like, too much green

???: Oh, someone's already with you? You're.......

Y/N: Y/N L/N, one of the choosen Magus to protect Mankind 

???: I see. So you're a Rookie who just got assigned here, right?

Y/N: Yeah

???: I'm Lev Lainur, one of the technicians employed here

Y/N: Nice to meet you, Lev

I proposed a hand shake, but he didn't shake my hand, and only smiled

I was about to retract it, before Mash grabbed it, and shake it

Mash: N-Now, we introduced ourselves officially

Lev: Well, Y/N, it seems like you were choosen over a dozen of public applicants. How long was your training?

Y/N: 5 year, I can lit a candle

Lev: Thats....... quite dissapointing, I must say. Training for 5 years to only lit a candle? Well, everything is needed to make a world, isn't it?

Y/N: That's quite mean what you said

Lev: Oh, my apologies. But you are needed for this mission after all, like everyone else 

Y/N: Is that so? Well, I will do my best, for everyone sake

Lev: Well, we will see that. You should go to your room and rest, Mash will take you there

Y/N: Alright, Mash, if you would?

Mash: Yes!

We walked away, me and Mash talking together, while Fou joined us

Timeskip - Narrator POV

Y/N was in front of his room, waving goodbye at Mash

Fou: FOU!

Mash: Fou said he will look after you, Y/N. It sets my mind at ease

Y/N: Well, you seems to have a tight schedule, I shouldn't take too much of your time!

Mash: Thanks Y/N! If we're lucky we meet again!

She run away quickly, as Y/N entered in his room

Y/N: It look better than I thought

Fou: Fou! Kyu!

Y/N: I didn't say I thought it was trash, just that everyone is either tense or mean to everyone here. Only exception is Mash so far......

???: Well, on that we agree

Y/N look at his right, and see someone on the chair, drinking some coffee, smiling

???: Hello, you must be one of the applicant, right? My name is Romani Archaman, the head of the medical departement

Y/N: Well, I'm-

Romani: Y/N L/N, I know. This is your room after all

Y/N: Oh yeah, forgot about it for a second

Romani: Well, want to have some coffee with me, while we talk?

Y/N: Sure, at least you're not like other people here who give the cold shoulder

Romani: Heh, I would never do that

Y/N took a seat, as Romani gived him a cup of coffee, as they both drinked from each cup at the same time

They let out a sigh of relief when they were finished, smiling

Y/N: A coffee is really the best after a hard day, right?

Romani: Yes..... The director is really stressed those days. She is way harsher on everyone

Fou: ..........

Romani: Oh, is that the legendary creature Mash talk about everytime?

Y/N: Yes, his name is Fou, he is taking care of me at the moment

Romani: Oh. Well, I think I get it, you're the rookie who just got here and is on the director bad side?

Y/N: What do you mean by bad side?

Romani: Well, she complained that one of the applicant didn't even came to her speech and mission debrief

Y/N: But I was told to come here by Lev

Romani: Oh, I see I see. It seems like he put you on her bad side on purpose

Y/N: He seems to be bad. When I offered him a hand shake, he completly ignored me!

Romani: No way! He shake hands everytime he see someone worthy, after all!

Y/N: The nerve! He's going to hear about me, and regret it!

Y/N puffed his cheek, crossing his arms, as Romani laughed

Romani: Well, even if you say that, you don't look like the type to hurt people

Y/N: Well, if I'm really angry, I tend to go overboard

Romani: Well, we're on the same boat. You got kicked out of the first mission, and I got kicked out because the director said everyone slacks off when I'm here

Y/N: We're kicked out friends!

Romani: Woo hoo! I made a new friend!

They high fived, but the lights turned, as they stopped in  their track

Romani: Did something-

An explosion was heard, and an alarm ringed right after

Announcement: Emergency, Emergency. A fire has broken out in the central power station and the Central command room

Romani: Monitor, show us the command room! Is everybody alright?

The monitor turned on, as they saw the command room was completly destroyed, fire in it

Romani: Y/N, you should evacuate. I'm going to-

He turn around, but Y/N was already gone, as Romani sighed and smile

Romani: Well, he truly is a kind soul

Y/N was running toward the command room as fast as he could, and entered the room in a hurry, and looked around

Y/N: Is there anyone here?! Hey!

Y/N run inside the room, and look at his right, and saw the dead body of Carl, as the last expression on his face was fear

Y/N: ........... Don't worry, if it's because of someone, I will avenge you, I swear.......

He heard some cough, and hurried to the place, and see Mash, under some rocks, bleeding

Mash: Y-Y/N........

Y/N: Mash, do not move, ok?

Mash: Stop, we have 10 seconds before rayshift start....... 

Y/N grabbed the rock, and started to lift it slowly

Mash: H-Huh?

Announcement: Rayshift in 5 seconds

He tossed it away, before carrying Mash in his arm, and headed toward the exit

Announcement: All procedures clear. First Order, commencing operation

Suddendly, a blinding light appeard, as Y/N closed his eyes

Timeskip

Y/N was slowly regaining his sense, before he sat up, and jump away, avoiding a stab from a scythe

He opened his eyes, and saw the culprit, who smirked at him

Y/N: I guess you're not here to show me the road, isn't it?

???: How could you deduce that? My killing intent, or the stab I just tried?

Y/N: I could go with both. Now, can you at least answer one of my question?

???: Well, asked this nicely, I can only answer you~

She grabbed her scythe, and started to walk around Y/N

???: You are in Fuyuki, a place where the Grail war happened. But the Grail was corrupted, leading to every servants being corrupted~ Only one is still resisting, but it will be soon joining us

Y/N: And what happened to the masters? The humans here?

???: Isn't it obvious~? They were killed, and you......

She appeard in front of him, ready to kill him

???: You will join them soon enough!

The blade was about to make contact, before Y/N used the back of his hand to push the wooden part of the Scythe, avoiding the hit, and punch her in the gut

???: That..... didn't make any damage? Well, here I thought you would be a challenge, after all~

Y/N didn't say anything, before raising his hands in front of his head, each palm facing each way, his left foot slightly forward

???: This stance....... this isn't one of an amateur

Y/N: We can either stop it here, or I will have no other choice than kill you

???: Kill me? Like you can ever do that!

She charged at him, as Y/N ducked down a little, and suddendly elbow her gut, as the hit was totally different than the last one

???: He was hiding this much strengh?! Is he even human?!

Y/N spin in mid air, and kick her neck, and directed her face toward the ground

He jumped back a little, and assumed another battle stance

Both if his hands formed fists, in front of his face, the left one slightly closer than than the right one. His footing didn't change

???: Tch!

She disappeard, as Y/N moved his right fist back, and took a sharp breath, sending it forward, colliding with something

The woman appeard again, and was sent flying a few yards away, as Y/N followed her

When he got to her position, he saw she was gone, and look around

Y/N: .......

He heared running, as he looked back, and saw a bigger servant running at him, also corrupted

When the servant got closer, Y/N spin around, and back kicked it's head, sending it to a building

Y/N: Doing only this won't lead me anywhere, I need to retreat back and try to regroup with people here

He quickly catched the step, and run away, to lose the servant that was chasing him

He finally catched his breath, safe from the servants

Y/N: I should be safe here

???: FOU!

Something jumped at his face, kicking it, but he didn't move, and saw Fou, angry

Y/N: Oh, hello Fou, how are you doing? Have you seen people here?

???: Y/N!

Someone suddendly run to Y/N, as he looked up, and see Mash, in a different set of clothes

Y/N: Mash!

Mash: Y/N!

They run toward each other, but Fou jumped on Y/N head, and use it as a support, to jump on Mash shoulder

But Y/N falled face first on the ground

Mash: M-Master!

She helped him up, as he dusted himself off, as Fou looked Y/N smugly

Y/N: Mash, do you know what happened ? But mostly importantly, are you well?

Mash: Yes. Thanks to you, I was able to avoid most of the damage made by the Rayshift. We are currently in the first Singularity, Fuyuki

Y/N: Anyone else here?

Mash: Yes, there is-

???: MASH!

They turn to the voice, and see Olga, running to them, exhausted

Mash: Director Olga Marie!

Olga: Why did you....... Run off........ Like that?!

Y/N: Oh, Hi director!

Olga: .......

She rubbed her forehead, letting a sigh

Olga: Why him of all people.....

Y/N: That's mean you know? You shouldn't say that to people

Olga: And why-?!

Mash: Director watch out!

A skeletton jumped at her, sword in hand, as she protected herself, closing her eyes

Nothing happened, as she opened them, and see Y/N, standing in front of her, and the Skeletton was no more

Y/N: Are you okay?

Olga: Y-Yes......

Y/N: Come on, we have a singularity to clear, right ? So let's go, Mash, Fou, Director Olga

Mash: Yes!

Fou: Fou Kyuu!

Olga: I think...... I misjudged you, Y/N

You really can be the hope of Humanity
