007 Will of Fire

As the three boat off, the Centaur creatures proceed to give chase. Due to their massively greater speed than Mash paddling in the water, it was less a chase and more like an encircling attempt where they would surround her to try and find an opening to stab one of the three. Luckily, Sonic and Gudako's on the job. While Sonic acts as the main attack, Gudako would serve as a second watch, as well as Sonic's bail should he ever mess up a homing attack.

With that setup, the level begins.

"Alright, if the map Dr. Roman is right, then we should be able to head to the Tohsaka house if we continue this road-er... stream!" Gudako says while looking at a map on her watch.

"Alright, Senpai!" Mash says as she paddles as fast as she can handle.

Sonic then suddenly jumps launching an axe kick into the head of one of the creatures which tried to take a stab at Gudako. This causes it to explode and disintegrate into water, bones and debris.

Another tries to stab Mash in the leg, so Sonic then swipes his hands forward and 7 projections of his homing attack launch around him into the creature, decimating it.

Another launches an attack at Mash, lightly slicing her exposed thigh. This panics the blue hedgehog a little, making him perform a wild rush, surrounding himself in energy to perform a tackle that took way too much energy for how fragile that opponent was.

"Mash, you alright?" Sonic asks as he inspects her wound.

"It's only a light cut, senpai. Please continue defending."

"SONIC, WATCH OUT!" Gudako suddenly shouts as a man that stood atop a semi-intact high rise nearly hits Sonic in the head with an arrow. The only reason it did not happen was through Gudako's intervention. However, the shot had enough of an impact to capsize their makeshift raft despite Mash's enhanced strength.

Thankfully, she rights it back up before either passenger could drift away.

However, the struggle made it so that the wound on Mash's leg deepened. Sonic begins looking around for the shooter but ends up seeing massive figures move towards them from under the water.

Having to juggle destroying the sea-taurs, finding the bowman and now these mysterious sea predators, Sonic couldn't help but think 'If only I can give Mash my speed.'

In that very moment, a voice appeared in the mind of the three.

"Link established...

Chaos energy secured...

Seal activation in 3... 2... 1..."

"Wait, what's going-"

Before Gudako could complete that sentence, blue energy erupts around the three, launching them forward with multiple sonic booms.

The only thing their pursuants managed to hear was the faded scream of Gudako due to the doppler effect taking place.

Mash herself becomes terrified due to her suddenly swimming insanely fast, her legs becoming blurs even to her.

"Mash! Calm down!"

She looks up and sees Sonic with his ever, easy-going smile. She may not have heard him speak, but she can still hear his voice through their command seals.

"Continue swimming. I'm used to this speed, I'll guide."

With that, she nods.

Sonic begins to ride the front of the shield like a motorboat, using his massive hands like rudders, and using his body weight to lean the boat. Due to also gaining a massive speed boost, Gudako also joins Sonic to aid the turning.

However, while they are now way faster than most of the creatures chasing them, the battle was not over. Behind them, strange red arrows begin to chase after them, trembling with what felt like bloodlust. How can swords have bloodlust? At the moment none of the three could really care. What they do care about is the fact these things are somehow catching up, despite the fact they're moving at Sonic Speed.

"Uh... uh... guys? Any idea?" Like a proper leader, Gudako remains calm under pressure while asking the others for a plan.

"If we can get to dry land, I might be able to block them with my shield." Mash offers only for Sonic to hold out a hand.

"I got this. Just continue paddling. Gudako, you continue steering."

The two masters share a look before nodding.

With that, they continue, however, now, Sonic was facing to the back. Blue lightning begins to envelope Sonic's hand as he goes into a stance akin to a backhand serve in table tennis.

With hands now covered in chaos energy, Sonic proceeds to parry away the red swords after them. With each swing of his electrical hand, one of the swords get

"Alright!" Gudako cheers yet Sonic doesn't seem to share that excitement.

"Hold on... something doesn't feel right here..."

True enough, the swords lift themselves  up from ground before resuming their charge without missing a beat.

Sonic continues to parry blow after blow, only managing to somewhat slow down these ravenous sword-arrows.

"Gudako-Senpai, how much further ahead till we get to the leyline? "

"Not... much... further... I think." Gudako tries to speak, finding it difficult due to the constant sprays of water from them moving so fast.

"Oh good, because I can feel the spell Sonic-senpai casted losing effect."

"Say, Gudako?" Sonic suddenly calls.

"Yeah Sonic?"

"I'm getting tuckered out here... mind hurrying it up?"

"Huh?" Gudako then shrieks in horror. Despite the blue hedgehog downplaying his actual state, his hands showed a different story.

"Senpai, those are noble phantasms. The fact your hands are still on is a miracle unto itself." Mash also says.

Battered and bruised, with the tips of his once pristine gloves now torn off and covered in blood. Furthermore, Sonic's whole body was also covered in very perceivable wounds. His fur may give him armor that can cut right through even steel, but ancient weapons of old aren't JUST steel.

"Heh, you tell me. I've parried way bigger things with my hands, but this is the first time I've had my hands nearly break on me... heh... although, I think I can squeeze in one more use before I have to take a break from parrying."

"Sonic, don't force it... if Sonic Forces it..." Gudako dreads to think what would happen...

"Aha! I got it. Gudako-senpai, use your command seal to quickly get us there."

"Ah? But how does that work?"

"Just say, 'by my command seal' before telling me a command."

"That easy huh... ok, by my comma-"

Before Gudako could finish, that sentence, the shield boat suddenly raises up above the water as a giant monster akin to a mutant orca tries to eat them.

"The swords are coming!" Mash advises the two.

With some quick-thinking, Sonic tells everyone, "quick! Slide forward!"

"But that's the mouth, Sonic!" Gudako frantically points out.

"Trust me!"

Gudako and Mash look at each other with concern, but ultimately nod in agreement.

The shield ultimately slides into the monster whale's mouth. Shortly after,, the two red swords would proceed to pierce the back of the creature, making it shriek in agony at the attack.

This scream forces the giant creature to spit the trio out of sheer agony, launching them onto a dry area.

Due to fatigue and injury, none of the three could really stand up properly.

"The... bowman... will catch up... if we don't continue..." Sonic grunts out.

With some reluctance, Gudako apologizes to Mash with a quiet, "sorry, Mash," before saying, "By... my command seal... Mash, I order... you to carry us both... to the designated leyline... as fast as possible..."

Gudako's hand glows with an oppressive red light which soon transfer over to Mash who proceeds to stand up despite her injuries and fatigue. With pained grunts, she manages to drag them away at sprinting pace.

"We've... arrived..." Gudako says as she collapses to the floor.

"Let's not... get into anymore trouble..." Gudako mutters, while lying on the cold hard ground.

However, as she says that, an arrow suddenly whistles above them, shines into a bright light and explodes into a rain of even more arrows.

"Watch out!" Sonic shouts as he tries to crawl to help the others.

VWOOM!

However, it was unnecessary as a wall of burning bramble appears and burns the arrows with such intensity that only ash came through the other end.

The rain atop the Tohsaka mansion turned into steam near these flames as a man-in-blue and a familiar white-haired lady step in-between the trio and the bowman aiming far away.

"Give it a rest Archer. This is a battle you're not winning." The blue man declares as he points his staff at the bowman, igniting it's ornamented tip.

It seems that the bowman takes the message and leaves.

"That's right. Scuttle away."

Turning back, the new duo then looks at the three with the man-in-blue smirking.

"Well, well, well, well... who do we have here? A mysterious stray master, a servant from a class I've never seen before, and... whatever this blue thing is. "

"Stand down, Caster. I know these idiots in particular."

"Oh? So they're part of Chaldea then missy?"

"Indeed. And they. Are. Late." She says, punctuating their tardiness with an annoyed leer.

"Hey, we don't exactly have the knowledge or experience with dealing with these sorts of things..." Gudako says trying to fight back against Olga.

"Why you little-" Olga Animusphere says only to be stopped by a hologram of Romani.

"Good job everyone, now that you are in a leyline I-"

He then freezes seeing everyone then twists the hologram around...

"ROMANI?!/AH! IT'S ANIMUSPHERE!"

The Caster servant seems to find the exchange quite amusing, only barely able to stifle his laughter.

"What are you doing in the front desk you slacker?!"

"Oi... you make me sound like I'm a lazy hotel front desk clerk."

"You are LITERALLY one half of what you said!"

"A... hotel clerk?"

"LAZY! Now where is Lev? He should be at the helm."

"Gone. Just like a lot of the people caught in the blast. I'm working with the remaining 5% of the staff here..." Romani says in a morose tone that caught the sole Animusphere off-guard.

"That... that can't be..."

"I'll get you the written report... however, let's focus on your situation first, okay?"

"Right. Follow us to the lower floor of this house. We've set up multiple Bounded fields to hide us there. Aside from the barriers already present. It would seem this house was a mage's workshop as well."

The blue caster proceeds to carry the trio using wolves which he summoned from portals who proceed to follow him and his master.

The inside of the upper floor seemed to be intact and dry, and it would seem that the director and her servant have taken some time to tidy up the place... this fact placed a wonder on Gudako's, Mash's, Sonic's and Romani's minds as to how long it really took them to set this whole place up.

However the time for wonder was over. The crew still have things to do.

"Let's now do with team GudaManic current mission: establishing a connection with the leyline."

"GudaManic?" Everyone then wonders alongside Gudako at the nickname.

"You know? Gudako? Mash? Sonic?"

A collective, "ah," was then said.

"Also, woah... you three look banged up since we last met. Especially you Sonic."

"Yeah, well... slapping away a noble phantasm arrow away with my bare hands for upwards of 37 times isn't exactly a walk in the park you know?"

"WHAT?!" Romani, Olga and the caster servant all shouted in unison.

"How are your hands still intact?! Much less attached to your body!" Olga shrieks out worriedly as she runs over to Sonic to treat his wounds.

She then says, "Caster, none of these three are fit to draw the needed summoning circle. Draw for them."

"Geez, you're so prissy as a master. You know that?" The blue-haired caster says as he scratches his nape in annoyance.

"No, no it's alright... I... I can handle it." Sonic says, forcing his body to limp towards Olga's one hand who was holding a stick of chalk.

"A warrior to the bitter end huh? I can respect that. But, missy is right, you and your friends really have to rest. Or else no amount of willpower is going to get you through whatever it is Chaldea does."

Olga would proceed to force Sonic on to a couch where she would begin healing his injuries the best she could.

"Thanks a bunch, Doc."

The Animusphere girl looks like she went into shock hearing that, however she was snapped out of it when Sonic grunted in pain. Ah... she was gripping his injured wrist too hard.

"Director, you okay? You seem... out of it."

"Th-think nothing of it. I'm just... zoning out..."

"Well... ok. Just don't snap my wrist off ok?" Sonic then laughs it off.

The caster then walks past his master without taking the chalk before drawing a magic circle on the ground using his finger. This creates fiery glowing lines which he forms into a circle.

"H-hold on... use this..." Mash manages to say as she slowly goes to hand over her shield to the man. "Its shape should work well as a reusable summoning circle."

"You sure, little miss? Handing your noble phantasm that easily to a fellow servant is..." he begins thinking of a word to use for this...

"Foolish? Maybe. In any other setting that would be the case... but this is beyond this grail war... or any ordinary grail war...this is a battle to save humanity's existence, Caster sir."

"Heh... you got guts kid... I respect that."

"I merely have this confidence since I have such trustworthy masters who I can rely on."

With that, the Caster servant creates a summoning circle atop the shield.

"And there... that should do it." He says while standing up with a grunt.

Director Animusphere then begins looking around for Gudako only to see her fixating on a portrait on the wall with a mesmerized gaze.

It was the photo of a man and a woman alongside who she can only assume was their daughters. Everyone had brown hair, and, save for the mother, had bright blue eyes. All of them in the photo wore a bright red, and both children wore red ribbons on their hair. The slightly taller child wore it into ponytails, and the younger used it to keep her left bang away.

"Emiya..." Gudako hears a faint voice repeatedly with a muffled tone as well as a garbled conversation accompanying it.

"Emiya... Emiya... Emiya... Emiya... Emiya..."

"EMIYA!" Gudako is suddenly snapped out when Olga's voice superseded the voices in her head.

"H-huh?"

"Summon supplies already. Romani has them readied."

"R-right..."

"Honestly, you should not be zoning out in places like this... far too dangerous..."

"Huh?" Gudako was thrown for a loop. Did... did the prissy director actually sound like she cared..?

"Hurry up! Chop chop! Move!"

"R-right!" Gudako proceeds to stiffly walk toward the summoning circle before placing her hand over the shield.

"..."

"Uh... how do you do this again?"

Olga, Caster, and even Romani on the other end all comically crash to the floor.

Olga grunts angrily as she stood up.

"What do you MEAN you don't know?!"

"I mean I know how to summon servants but I don't know how to do items!" Gudako cries out while hiding her face.

"How does that makes sense?! Rayshifting items in is a simpler task than summoning an entire servant!" Olga says, nerves popping a she continues to shout.

"Alright, let's all calm down." Romani says before looking at Gudako.

"I'll guide you through the process, kay?"

"Ok..."

As Romani goes about teaching Gudako how to summon things, the other three gather around at Caster's behest.

"Alright, while the red-haired missy over there is learning how to use the circle, I think we should properly introduce ourselves and compare notes."

Everyone nods to this. Olga Marie Animusphere then raises her hand.

"I'll start. I am the director of an organization known as Chaldea. We were banded together by my late father in order to save humanity from complete wipe out. We do so by rayshifting into anomalous diversions of space-time, such as this one, known as 'singularities.'

As for why I am here... and probably why these two are here... it is probably for the same reason. When that thing possessed Lev, it detonated several parts of Chaldea which caused all of the devices to malfunction. This ended up causing the rayshifting device to also fire up."

"That can't be, I pulled you and like three others outta there." Sonic interrupts only for Olga to look down with a shameful expression.

"I... I went back in... I... saw you three laying there so I... used my magecraft to enter through the doors to try and get... you... three..."

She looks miserable as she hides her face.

"I'm sorry, okay? I'm sorry if I nullified your sacrifice... I just... I just thought..."

However, rather than chastising, she instead gets a hand on both of her shoulders. She looks up and sees Sonic and Mash smiling at her.

"And because you risked your life, you managed to save us in the end." Sonic says proudly.

"Thank you, senpai."

"I'm starting ta respect ya even more missy." The caster says with his own smile.

Olga begins to tear up seeing this, quickly covering her eyes to wipe the tears using her sleeve.

However, the moment was ruined when the two gremlins at the back saw this.

"Awwww... it seems director WASN'T a psychopath dictator after all."

This triggers Olga who then barks at the two, "CONTINUE ON YOUR WORK YOU IDIOTS."

The two then proceed to laugh but then their faces softened.

"But seriously, thank you Director-san." Gudako says before being followed up by Romani saying, "yeah, your pops would've been proud."

The director shouts, "g-get back to work dammit!" However this time with noticeably less bite to her words.

"Alright, while Olga over here processes, I think Mash should narrate our story. Mine is pretty much their story anyway. I got here quite a bit later than the two of em and even then, it was mostly Gudako jumping to save me... for the second time... Anyways, I could go on and on about how came from a separate dimension altogether but I have the feeling we don't exactly have a lotta time."

"M-me? R-right away senpai! So... starting things off, my name is Mash Kyrielight. Shielder class."

Caster raises his eyebrow as he asks, "Shielder huh? Never heard of that extra class before. Sure I know of Avengers, Rulers, and even an Alter Ego at some point... but never this... furthermore, you sure that is safe to announce your name missy? Could getcha into a lotta trouble being so open about it."

"It is quite alright Caster-san. After all, while Mash Kyrielight is my name, it is not my True name. That is to say... this vessel and consciousness is me but this power and shield were lent to me. A demi-servant if you will."

"Interesting. Continue."

"After Sonic-senpai dragged me to a wall alongside Gudako-senpai... were all rayshifted. While I was knocked out, a servant that calls himself 'Shielder' made a pact with me mending my spiritual and physical injuries while lending me his power in exchange for his life. Although, the process went by so quickly, and he vanished before I could so much as thank him.

I woke up at around the same time Senpai did. We had drifted atop a pile of debris and woke up from a piece of metal creaking. When we realized what was going on, we were already surrounded by the watery bone monsters."

"Indeed... those things run rampant in these parts... why, I would have succumbed to them had Caster not come to my aid." Olga says, disappointed she couldn't handle it herself, but grateful for Caster nonetheless.

"Actually... I think I DO have something to say... but I'll hear everyone out first before I say my part." Sonic says sitting on a chair to listen to the next speaker.

"Alright, my turn." Romani speaks as he lists things out.

"So starting things off...  Currently, the surviving full time staff of Chaldea is less than thirty people, including me.
The reason I'm in charge of operations is because there's no one ranked higher than me who survived." Roman morosely spoke. While speaking of 5% earlier sounded bad, putting it into perspective as less than 30 made this news all the more terrifying and wild.

"Less than 30 survivors? What about the Master candidates...the coffins?" Olga desperately asks, hoping for a miracle.

"...47, all in critical condition and we're short on medical supplies. We might be able to save a few, but all of them might be—"

However, the director wasn't going to have any of it. "Don't be ridiculous! Cryopreserve them immediately!
Think about reviving them later. Your top priority is to make sure they don't die!"

"I forgot the coffins had those functions! I'll get on it right away!"

"T-that... but... cryopreservation without prior consent is a crime. Yet you made the decision right away. You put human lives ahead of your own reputation as the director." Mash says with awe in her voice.

"Don't be stupid! As long as they're not dead, I can explain myself later - why else? In the first place, 47 lives...
There's no way can I carry that burden!" She quickly explains, trying to recover any dignity as a magus she can from earlier showings.

Yet even still, she couldn't help but silently plead an earnest human wish. "Please don't die... I'm begging you..."

Roman resumes the rest of his report after having made sure of cryopreservation "...This concludes my report. Chaldea has lost 80% of its functionality. There's only so much that the remaining staff can do. While Sonic's rescue efforts helps as there are more staff members, it isn't much...

I'm shifting available manpower to Rayshift repairs, and maintaining Chaldeas' and Sheba's current states. As soon as external communications are back up, we'll request supplies and start rebuilding Chaldea."

"That's fine. I would've done the same if I were there ...Ah. Romani Archaman. I don't like it, but until I return you're in charge of Chaldea." She begrudgingly says.

"Make the Rayshift repairs your top priority." She commands him before saying, "We'll be investigating this town."

Roman and Mash look at her in shock, making her go ask, "what? Did I say something?"

"No, it's just... since when were you brave enough to so easily declare that you'll investigate ground zero?" Roman asks which infuriates Olga. However, she realizes she has to be the adult here lest that role goes to Roman which she dreads.

"Quit talking... but that aside... I would like nothing more than to go back to Chaldea... but with Rayshift repairs not being fully functional, I'd be better off fulfilling Chaldea's mission. Furthermore, only low level monsters like those..."

"Sea-taurs." Sonic interjects much to Olga's annoyance.

Olga tries to continue her line of thought of the name for those monsters... but Sonic's cheesy Sea-taur was all she could think off so she begrudgingly accepts the name.

"Anyways, only those things exist here... and that bow man."

"Upupup..." the Caster suddenly interjects.

"Not quite, kid. Now it's my turn to talk."

He then summons fiery wisps which begin to float in the air and form images as he tells his side of the story.

"You see... what's happening here was a holy grail war. One wherein I was supposed to be a Lancer. One that I lost. However, something strange happened. I don't know what the Saber of this war did... but I reawakened in the once burning city of Fuyuki only to find it now nearly fully submerged in water alongside my fellow servants in front of her and who I assumed to be Archer.

However, most of us... had changed. Save for Saber, and Assassin weirdly enough, all of us were drafted into a different class each while Archer was split into the Archer we saw earlier and Rider. The others went along the lines of... Berserker becoming an Archer, Rider becoming a Lancer, Caster becoming a Berserker, and me, the Lancer, becoming a Caster.

The weirdest thing about this... was that there was no master left. In fact, we almost panicked the moment the Berserker-Archer just dematerialized from his own mana usage poofing him.

Saber then proceeded to give a spiel about remaking the destroyed city into a paradise using the water monster behind her or something... but I wasn't having any of it. So were half of the group. So despite our better judgement, Archer-Rider, Assassin, and I fought against Saber, Archer clone, Rider-Lancer and Caster-Assassin."

A solemn look on Caster's face appears as he says, "in the end... Assassin's mana ran out... Rider got killed in the heat of battle by Saber and I'm the only one left. The best we managed was heavily injure Lancer... but that was about as much as our mana allowed us to since we were also being flanked from the side by the water monster's minions. So we retreated."

He continues. "Then I met missy when I rescued her from being attacked by a bunch of those 'sea-taurs'. In exchange, we made a pact but since she basically had no aptitude as a master, we had to makeshift a solution by making pseudo-command seals using runestones to force a connection. Then, we wandered around while she explained what's going on until we found this leyline which we decided to use as home base. I s'pose it was fate's doing that we're now here together."

Sonic suddenly jumps from his couch and accidentally stamps out Caster's flame wisps while doing so, much to the blue-haired man's mild annoyance.

"Alright. I guess it's my turn. We cool that? Cool. Alright then. First of all..."

He then begins explaining while moving around.

"So, first of all. As most of you may know, I'm from an alternate universe. Not just a timeline like this place is, but a straight up universe.

In my universe, there are these thing called Chaos Emeralds. And they're... kinda the reason why this world turned from an oven to an ocean park. You see... those sea-taurs? Yeah, they're a fragment of an old... buddy of mine, Chaos. So he's basically a... watergodof destructionfrommyworld. Pleasedon'tkillme."

"A WHAT?!" Olga echoes out everyone's thought as they all stared at Sonic in shock.

"Ok, look. Calm down. As long as we get the chaos emeralds from him, I can go Super and easily deal with him. It's not like he's the first god I've faced before."

"Putting aside that last bit... what if you can't?"

"Well... I have you guys."

"Er... not to lower your confidence in us Sonic... but... we aren't exactly god killers here..." Olga says with an annoyed look which the hedgehog takes in stride.

"Missy is right. I may possess some divinity, but I'm not exactly functioning at full-power as a Caster."

"Then this will be your first. He isn't exactly impossible to kill... so long as he doesn't have all seven emeralds that is... his body is made of water like those other guys. If you can manage to hit his exposed floating brain, we should be able to destabilize him long enough to calm him down."

"Calm him down? Why are you only planning to calm him down? Isn't he trying to kill him? Shouldn't we be trying to kill him as well?"

"Well, he's not normally violent. Whatever's going on, I can feel malicious energies when I tackled his Sea-taurs."

"Like...say all the World's evils condensed into flaming mud perhaps?" Gudako suddenly says, botching up the summoning, earning a scolding from Olga and Roman.

"Huh? That's a thing in this world?" Sonic asks.

"Well, I did hear something similar from Saber's speech. Something about the water guy cleansing the world of its evils or something." Caster adds.

"Then that must be it... so we destroy or contain the mud, and he should be all dandy. He might even be able to help us actually."

"Hold on, before we can do something like that, we need to start off by picking off the servants guarding." Olga reasons out. "After all, we're already swamped as it is with the Sea-taurs to deal with, as well as most likely Saber."

"Missy's right. With just us, we're at a disadvantage. Furthermore, we have to unlock your demi-servant's noble phantasm if we plan to survive."

"So we have a plan then. Train up, take down the guards, then take on Chaos."

Everyone's attention finally go to Gudako as lights begin to circle above Mash' shield swirling faster and faster until they became a blue ring. It then explodes into electricity, knocking Mash back. When the lights died down, the supplies materialize in front of them.

With a breathless chuckle, Gudako says, "I... I did it... hahahah... I actually did it..."

"So what do we have here?" Olga says, coughing slightly from the dust the amateurish summoning kicked up.

"Black keys, MREs, water canteens, a mystic code version of the uniform for Gudako, and for you Sonic, a little something to help you with those parries."

"Hehey!" Sonic exclaims in approval as he picked up a pair of metal gauntlets and a decently wide-bladed longsword.

"Da Vinci insisted I give this to you after she heard that reckless thing you did parrying those NPs. She said these are mystic codes that reconfigure themselves towards the user's energy output. They should provide you the necessary protection from losing your limbs."

Sonic looks at them for a bit only to panic as Gudako once again shamelessly begins removing her uniform.

"Woah! Hey! Common decency!" He says as he shoves her to one of the rooms before throwing her the mystic code uniform.

"Honestly, that girl is so unruly..." Olga voices her complain. She then picks up the black keys before twirling them around.

After everyone gotten their things on, the team assembles and walks forward.

"Alright team, let's train." Sonic says with a smirk as they all walk dramatically to wards their entry window where a single faint light of the sun pierces through.

Meanwhile, back at the surface, a familiar, tan-skinned figure jumps from rooftop to rooftop until he stops in front of a large bubble of water.

"Chaos, it's me." The Archer says. Shortly after, the sphere of water opens up a small entrance to which the bowman enters.

Arriving inside, he is greeted by a scene that heavily contrasts the world outside. It was serene. Small insects could be seen fluttering within the internal garden. In the middle were four individuals sitting within an ornate gazebo, having picnic inside. It had a mainly Greek design with its ornate white pillars and red roof, but it also had Japanese and European portions with its white walls, thatched roof frills, sliding doors and sakura-wood floors.

Out of the four individuals, a familiar pale blonde woman looks in worry then relief after seeing the Archer.

"Shirou!"

"I'm back... mom."
