three

Like last week the date went amazing. Jaeyun forgot about all his worries for most of the time. And if he thought about it once, Heeseung unintentionally made him focus on different things. They just got to know each other better and figured out they had quite a lot in common.

Both of them had ramen as their favourite food. They both enjoyed playing basketball in their free time, same as watching crimes and reading thrillers. They liked the same type of music. And they even shared the same dream for their future - getting married and adopting kids.

Heeseung was the one that asked this question and it caught Jaeyun off guard. He did answer truthfully but was concerned as to why this question was so important.

"You know, I just want to share the same goals with my future partner. If I have to convince my partner of all these things I want and waste my time on probably effortless tries I just don't think it's worth it. I believe that dreams have to be shared. They don't have to be the exact same but should be similar, otherwise life is just going to pass by and both will only follow their own."

Jaeyun nodded. It was right, everything he had said.

And for a moment he thought about his ex.

His ex's dream was the high position in the company he was working in, living the great and fancy life spending money on expensive trips and travels.

Jaeyuns dream was to live the normal life, just he and his partner. Just visiting the places near them, trying out new places to eat, going on simple but thought through dates. And one day having a family.

They didn't want the same. They never did.

How did Jaeyun never think of it? Three years in a relationship and yet he never had thought about how different their dreams and goals have been. Was he really so blinded by the love he received? Did he think they would be able to manage fulfilling both their dreams, knowing his ex was difficult to convince?

"Jaeyun? You good?", Heeseung asked concerned.

The younger shook his thoughts away. "Me? Oh, yeah. You just got me thinking."

A wide smile appeared on Heeseungs lips. "So you're already thinking about me?"

"Oh, my god. Stop flirting with me!", Jaeyun exclaimed, clearly shocked and taken aback.

"Okay, okay. No more flirting... for today."

Jaeyun just laughed and then went back to eat.

The rest of the date has been more or less enjoyed in silence. But not the awkward one. It was a comfortable silence.

After paying and stepping out of the restaurant Heeseung looked at Jaeyun with a smile. "Thank you for coming here today. I really enjoyed it."

"I've got to thank you. You helped me clearing my mind today.", Jaeyun said. But his smile faded a little. He didn't want the evening to end, he enjoyed Heeseungs company so much. Why did it have to be over already?

And just like Heeseung had read his thoughts he spoke "Do you maybe want to go and take a walk in the park nearby? It's really pretty over there."

The smile on Jaeyuns face got bigger again. How could he say no to this?

He just nodded and just as he started walking a voice appeared behind him.

"Jaeyun?
