I get home from school as my parents come up to me and ask 'are you okay?!' over and over again until I calmed them down. The news about my rescue when around quickly, I knew it was going to happen... I didn't want Avery to die... she was my best friend... she means everything to me. I go upstairs and flop on my bed, too tried to even start my homework and art work too. I reach into my pocket to find my phone, but find a piece of paper in there. I toke it out and remember that Oliver gave me his phone number. I quickly take out my phone that was in the other pocket and start dialing the number.

It was silence after four rings, until there was breath at the other end "Hello?..."

I hesitate a second before speaking "Hey Olive it's me, Alicia!"

"Oh right Alicia! Hey are you okay?! I heard about what happened with the empty car that was speeding towards you both!"

'the car was empty?! It couldn't have just token off by it's self!'  "That's weird! How can a car do that?!"

"I don't know... when the teacher when to check it, it was empty.... It's was really creepy..." He sound a bit off when he spoke. I broke it off by talk 

"Hey! Do you think I can come over for a bit? I have nothing to do so I just need something to do. Plus... I haven't seen you in forever..." I blushed a bit while remembering the old days...

"Yeah! Of course you can!" His voice broke me out of the memory. I shook my head a bit to get out of the daze "You can come over right now if you want!"

"That sounds great! Where do you live? Did you guys get a new house?"

He chuckles a bit "Nope! We got the old same house! It looks the same all those years ago! See you then!" I say bye back and head towards Oliver's old house...

I walk to Oliver's house sense I didn't have a car. It looked the same old two story house like before. The whole house was white as it did bring out Oliver's mom's garden. It was beautiful like it has before. Flowers and plants with all colors made the house dull color come to life. I started too walk towards the door as I see the living room window, it has a big crack in it as Olive and me were playing baseball. He threw me the ball as I hit it and broke right through the living room window. Oliver's parents were mad at us for sure that day. After we were scolded we just laugh it off the whole day. I broke out of my daze as the front door opened and Oliver came out standing there. His blue eyes filled with the same old happiness I've always seen. 

"Hey Alicia!" He walks towards me "I didn't think you were hear already! I was just going to wait for you outside!"

"Sorry. I was too excited to wait!" 

Oliver chuckles "It's okay! So what do you want to do? Hang out or something?"

I think it over a bit "How about a going to the arcade! We haven't been there in a long time!"

"Sounds good!"

We walk over to the arcade as we play lots of old games. I even beat Oliver at some of strength ones!

After that we go down to ice cream place. I ordered Rainbow swirl, beauces it reminds me of painting with it multiple colors of flavors! Oliver orders a red velvet one as we sit inside. 

"So Oliver..." I get his attention "What was the big apple like?"

"Well.... it was crowded everywhere you went! It was fine and all, but I think I like living in a quiet town like this better than a busy city full of people."

"Me too. that would drive me crazy!" I never liked busy places because it interrupted my thoughts of painting. I like it quiet where there are not a lot of noises. Like this quiet town I've lived all my life. I loved it here. I don't know what I would do if we had to move away from here...

"It did for me too! I think it did the same with parents. They were way too happy when we left there."

"I don't blame them." A pieces of ice cream got on my cheek as Oliver leaned in towards me too wipe it off. 

"There. You had some of it on your cheek." He chuckled as a pink shade of blush was on my face. Olive laughed which only made it worse. "I didn't mean for you too blush Alicia."

"L-Let's just k-keep eating..." I eat mine down fast as Oliver was too busy laughing at my flustered face. 

After he finished up the sun as starting to set down. We walked back to my house as I stop with my hand on the door nob. I turn to face him "See you tomorrow Oliver. Today was fun! Lets do it again some time!"

"Yeah! Let's! I'll see you tomorrow at school too Alicia!" He waved me a goodbye as I did the same back. I went up to my room and toke out my phone. It had twenty messages of Avery texting me and ten calls of her trying to reach me. 'I forgot to head back at her house today! Oh well! I'll just tell her I was hanging out with Oliver.... better not tell her about the ice cream thing...' I thought to myself as I quickly change into my PJ's and when to bed, thinking about me and Oliver....
