Chapter 13

Ray couldn't believe it. In front of him was Norman. He stares at him, as that Ray couldn't hold his emotions any longer.

He embraced his brother, as tears came through him as though the long search was over. But to his surprise, Norman asked, "Um, excuse me, but why you hugging me? Is something wrong?"

Ray pulled from his brother's embrace, as he said, "Norman.. you don't recognize me?"

"Should I?"

Emma pulls aside from Ray, as that she looked deeply at her brother's eyes. Without a doubt, the person in front of her is Norman.

His blue eyes and without the farm bar code numbers on his neck, Emma immediately knows it is him.

But then, her seizure started up again, as that she was coughing up the blood, giving Norman immediately concern about her.

"H-Hey! " He said, as that he holds her shoulder, as that something triggers his mind.

"You don't have to protect me, I want to stand alongside you!"

Emma was unconious for a few days, as she wakes up, she notices something was different. The environment was filled with furniture and there was fireplace burning.

"My goodness. I didn't know that you were Norman's family. It must been quite a search. I apologize for not telling you."

"No, don't apologize, Andrew. I'm grateful you took Norman in. We were worried about him and there was a lot of things happened." Christine replied to a man that Emma doesn't know.

She turns her head to see that Norman was sleeping besides her, leaving her in total embarrassment.

"Whoa!" She exclaimed, as Ray exclaimed, "Thank goodness, Emma you're awake. What we tell you?

You should've tell at least one of us that your Lambda seizure would come up. I thought you agreed to tell us that. Idiot."

She hung her head , apologizing, "Sorry. It just happens, I thought it would the end of it, I guess not.

By the way, why is Norman sleeping next to me?"

"He was worried , that's what. When you collapsed, his memories came back up, he remembered everything." Andrew replied.

"And you are?" Emma asked, as Don spoke up for him, "You can say that he is kind of Norman's adoptive grandfather.

He was the one who found Norman in a blizzard one night and apparently, he had no recollection of who he was, or how he ended up in Andrew's cabin."

"Oh." Emma said.

That was when Norman woke up, as that Emma said, "Norman."

Norman jumps out of her lap, as everyone laughs at his reaction of seeing her. "S-Sorry. I didn't think straight."

"It's fine, I'm the one who should apologize here. I have to get some space."

As she leaves, Norman points at her, "Is she going to be all right?"

"Yeah, give her some privacy, man. Listen, we did search for you, it wasn't easy, and you disappeared out of the blue. " Don said.

Norman hung his head, "I am truly sorry, you guys. You spent all this time searching for me, and last thing I remember was going through the portal. Everything was a blur after that."

"It's fine. Besides, a lot of things happened while you're away. " Gilda said.

They explained of their new lives as Norman turns to Ray, "So, Mom got a new biological child huh? "

"Leslie. She seems happier now. " Ray said.

"That's good to hear. It seems like you guys adjust o this new world easily as I hoped you would be. But .. Emma.."

Norman didn't hesitant as he runs towards where she was. He sees the orange-haired teen, as she was gazing at the horizon all alone, as if it comforts her.

Norman just felt bad about it, as that he needs to say something, as he thought in his mind, "Emma went through this, to find me. I have to say something to her, but what should I say?"

As he approached her, she said, "You were looking for me, right, and you couldn't find the words to say to me, I assume?"

Norman blinks in amazement of how she just figured him all out, but he sighs.

"You got me, as usual, Emma. There is no point of hiding my feelings is there?" He asked.

She giggles at his comment, but then turns silent as well. It has been a hard road for the both of them.

It was truly a twisted turn of fate that things ended up like this. Norman took a deep breath before talking about how he truly felt.

"Emma, listen. I was thinking about something . Are you truly happy with things as they are?"

"What you mean?" She asked the teen being curious about what he had meant. "I mean, you took my place that night.

The night that I was supposed to be in Lambda. I was chosen to be experimented on by the demons, and you took that harsh treatment, getting the seizures, and you and friends were friented of being close to near death.

Even you took a great desire to do a genocide to a Demon village!

It could've been me doing all these stuff." Norman said, which made Emma shocked of his words.

She approached him as that she felt completely guilt that he had these feelings deep inside of him.

"Norman, listen, it's not your fault. None of it isn't your fault. There is something I want to confess."

Norman was curious of what she has to say. "What is it?"

She didn't say anything but made something else that made him so shocked about it.

It was so surprising as Norman couldn't believe it himself. He wanted to kiss her so long, thus he wasn't sure that she had the same feelings as he does.

As she let go of their emotional kiss, the two teens sigh in relief that the event did happen, finally, as that the long journey was all worth in the end.

"I'm so sorry that I took so long to realize my true feelings, Norman. I should've -"

"No, don't apologize to me. It's fine, besides, I had a crush on you since forever, but I never had the same courage as you did, to take in the burden I should've gotten.

I guess that it was indeed fate, I suppose." Norman replied back, smiling .

The new couple headed back to the inn where everyone was waiting as Ray saw them were smiling.

"What happened to you two?" He asked, titled his head, wondering why they were so happy about.

"It's some sort of a secret." Emma replied back to the puzzling teen, as Andrew said, "C'mon, kids. Lunch is ready."
