The heroes had survived the attack of the evil doctor, peace was soon restored to the island and everyone around it. The mobians all split apart to go find their families, and most were successful. all except the trio of hedgehogs, and Simon. Sonic, Mar, Zach, and Simon were currently taking a break in some grasslands, sitting around a campfire, all of them looking rather glum.

Mark: I'm not gonna lie, I'm kinda starting to loose hope.

Simon: M-me too...

Sonic: Hey! Don't do that!

He stands up.

Sonic: Hope is all we got! We have a %100 better chance at finding our families if we hold out on hope!

Mark: Well. We've had hope for a while now. Hasn't gotten us that far.

Sonic: Well we should still try! We have to be close. The world isn't Infinite!

Zach excitedly nods.

Mark: Well... *sigh*... whatever...

He lays down. Zach looks over at the setting sun.

Zach: It's getting dark... Let's sleep here for the night. In the morning, we'll keep looking for all our famalies!

Simon: ok... *Yawn*.

Everyone lays down, using large palm leaves as blankets and slowly falling asleep. After the sun finishes setting along with the moon and stars floating above the group, a pair of eyes shine through the darkness. The figure made their way towards the camp site. The fire was extinguished, only smoking a tiny bit. The figure looks at the group of 4, before taking all of them with her.

In the morning--

Slowly, Sonic woke up and found himself indoors. He was confused, but happy. Maybe it was all a dream. Or maybe, his family found them and took them home. he sat up, and was instantly made confused as to where he was. He didn't recognize the house he was in at all. Next to him was Mark, Zach, and Simon. All asleep. He quickly shakes Mark awake.

Mark: wha.. what is it-

He saw the new inviornment.

Mark: ...oh...

Zach and Simon slowly awake, also super worried as to where they were. The sound of creaking floorbords fill the small hut, and the group hide under the bed they were on. After a second, a set of sharp tallons walk into the hut, and over to the bed. After a second, she ducks down, her green eyes glowing through the darkness.

Owl: I can see you there you know.

Zach: Please don't eat us!

Owl: I'm not going to- *sigh*. Come out here, please.

It took them a second, but the 4 reluctentlly get out from under the bed, still standing back from the owl lady.

Owl: Well I'm glad to see you all are ok. I found you ouside so I brought you in.

Mark: And... you're not gonna eat us?

Owl: no. I'm just doing the right thing. There are bad people out there, but I'm not one of them.

This calmed the kids down a bit.

Zach: Well. Thank you miss!

Longclaw: My name's Longclaw. And it was no problem!

Zach: Well thanks Longclaw! I'm Zach, that's Mark, Sonic, and Simon.

Longclaw: Well I'm happy to meet you. Mind telling me what all of you were doing out there?

Mark:... Well...

They explain the whole thing about the mad doctor and how they were looking for their families.

Longclaw: I'm sor sorry you guys had to go through all of that.

Mark: Eh. It's ok. I'm sure we can find our families soon.

Longclaw: Well I'd love to help you if I could!

Mark: Eh, It's ok. We could find them on our own!

Longclaw: Well. I could let you stay here for a while. So then you at least have a roof to sleep under.

The kids quickly form a huddle, talking for a second, before going back to their standing positions.

Mark: Ok!

For the next couple weeks, the crew stayed with Longclaw, always returning when things got too dark, while Longclaw slept through the day and would search at night.

1 month later--

We see Simon and Sonic running up to Longclaws hut, going in to see Mark and Zach already there.

Zach: Took you slowpokes long enough!

Sonic: Slow my butt! You tripped us!

Simon: Yeah! You should't cheat you coward!

Mark: I don't remember tripping you! Must of been a root!

Simon: Suuuure.

During their time with Longclaw, Simon had mostly overcome his shyness... mostly.

Simon*Yawn* well. I'm too tired to argue.

Mark: Me too.

They go to bed, Longclaw tucked them in and went out like she normally did. Several towns across mobius were attacked by who everyone called "The Eggman", since the machines he rode in were shaped like eggs. Longclaw, so far, hadn't found any hedgehogs or humans who had their kids taken from them. But, she still searched. After a while of flying she found herself growing tired, and decided it would be best to head back. But, out of the corner of her eye, she notices a light in the distance. She decided it would be worth a shot. She flew over to the small town, landing and looking around at the houses. It was quiet since it was night. She walks through it, finding nothing of real intrest. That is until she came across a building in the middle of town. It was much bigger, probobally for a president or mayor or whatever else they would call their "Man in charge". Just outside of it was a bulleten board. she looks over the paper on it. Job offerings for small shops, upcoming events, plans to buld things. Nothing important. She was about to leave, but, notices something under one of the posters. The tip of some blue pointy shape. She lifts up the poster, eyes widening and quickly taking to the skies. There on the board was an old poster staring 3 hedgehogs. One red, one blue, and one yellow were taken by "The Egg Man". Longclaw flew through the air as fast as she could, the sun starting to rise behind her. She lands in front of her hut, and hurried inside.

Longclaw: Kids! Kids wake up!

The 4 were still tired. Getting a bit grumpy.

Sonic: 5 more minuets...
Mark: tttiiirrreeeddd...
Zach: I don't wanna get up...
Simon: Blehhhhhhh...

Longclaw: I found your home! I finally found it! We have to go now!

This instantlly gets all of them up, now wide awake.

Sonic: Really!?

Longclaw: Yes! C'mon let's go!

They all get on Longclaws back, and she flew back in the direction she took last night. The sun was now half risen over the horizon, as Longclaw flies towards the town. When they get there, Longclaw lands, letting them hop off her back.

Sonic: T-this is it!

Mark: I never thought I'd see it again!

Zach: We're home!

They hug Longclaw, the owl hugging back. They quickly run off to find their old house and Longclaw watches on with pride, knowing that she finally succeeded. Her gaze then drifts to her side. Simon stood there, watching the other 3 run off.

Longclaw: Are you not joining them?

Simon slowly shook his head no.

Simon: ...This... I don't recognize this... T-This isn't my home...

He had a sad look, like he was on the verge of tears. Longclaw bends down and hugs him.

Longclaw: It's alright... We will find your home next...

Simon hugs back. They stood there for a second before pulling away.

Longclaw: Ready to go?

Simon nodded. But before they could go...

Sonic: Simon! Longclaw!

The 3 hedgehogs run up to them. Behind them were 2 other hedgehogs. One, a purplish color with a yellow tuft of quills on the top of her head. The other was yellow, and looked to be expecting.

Sonic: We're gonna miss you guys!

The 3 hug her again, and then hug Simon.

Simon: I'll see you guys around then!

Mark: Hopefully you find your family budy!

Zach: Goodluck!

Sonic: Take care!

The 2 older hedgehogs walk up to longclaw.

Purple: Thank you! Thank you so much for bringing them back to us!

Yellow: We are forever in debt to you!

Longclaw: Oh, please. It was nothing. It's just what heroes do!

Longclaw helps Simon onto her back, and they fly back. After a while, they were finally back at Longclaws hut. Both were tired, and fall asleep shoertly after.

A few years later--

Simon is seen looking much older. He dashes through the green checkerbord feilds and runs up to Longclaws hut. He steps inside.

Simon: Morning Longclaw!

Longclaw: *Sigh* Were you out running again?

Simon: What can I say? I like to run!

Longclaw: Simon. I thought I told you that you can't go out too far!

It had been a couple years ever since Sonic, Mark, and Zach had found their home.

Simon: I didn't! I stayed in Green Hill!

Longclaw: well... fine. But you still have to be carful. I've had a bad feeling in my gut all week.

Simon: If you say so.

Simon sits down on his bed, that was across from Longclaws. Before they could ask eachother how their days were, suddenly, a wooden spear with a stone point flew through the window, and getting stick in the table in the middle.

Simon: H-huh?

Longclaw: Oh no.

She looks out the window and saw several echidna in the trees, preparing to throw more. She opens a drawer, grabs a bag of something and a scroll of some kind before pulling Simon out of the house with her.

Longclaw: We have to go! Now!

Simon: o-ok!

He starts running, making sure not to loose track of her while she flew. The echidnas kept chasing after them.

Simon: Who are they!? Why are they after us!?

Longclaw: My old tribe and theirs used to be in conflict! They're after something I took with me when I fled here! We cannot let them get it- ACK!

A spear suddenly struck her in the wing, causing her to fall.

Simon: LONGCLAW!!!

He caught her, moving her behind a tree to hide from the echidnas. Longclaw gave him the scroll and the bag. She pulls a small ring out of it.

Longclaw: This, is a warp ring. Say exactlly where you want to go, and it will take you there. Follow the map on the front of this scroll and keep it safe at all costs!

Simon: What!? No!? I'm not leaving you here!

Longclaw: I'll be fine. When they find I don't have the scroll, they'll leave. You have to run!

Simon: I-I-I can't! I can't go on without you!

Longclaw hugs him, and he hugs back. She throws the ring, it growing and forming a way through.

Longclaw: Go. Now.

Simon nods, running through the golden portal with the bag and scroll in hand. He looks back, the ring dissapearing behind him. He runs at mach speeds, orange electricity flying off of him. A thousand thoughts run through his head about what had happened, and what was going to happen. but the 1 thought that remained in his mind was... run.
