There was no time to spare and so we divided as soon as our new searching group climbed back to the hill above the lake. Taehyun led Soobin on the path he came from, while the special duo followed me on my route back to the meadow - I thought it would be the best to start where I last saw the light fairy.

I was good at orientation in forests, but the butterflies were distracting me too much before. Therefore I ended up squatting almost every ten meters to touch the tree roots and peer into their echoes to see if they remember my footsteps and to make sure we're going the right way. 

After a few times when they had to stop behind me suddenly, my companions probably stopped liking it and began to lose their patience. 

"Don't you have something that carries his essence? Something to help me seek his energy?" 

I discontinued my eager stalking and turned to face the angel, whose eyes looked a little irritated that I wasn't using his potential so far. I was just too immersed into my own, since the moment my senses and spirit grew stronger after meeting my parents. 

Kai's essence? I sucked on my lower lip and looked aside thinking about it. 

"You know... something to do some quality woodoo with." 

I looked back with my expression slightly judging Hyunjin's pantomime of playing with a puppet. 

"Don't listen to him," Felix sighed and his chocolate eyes became even darker and deeper. 

"Hach," I just chuckled, playing with the zipper of my hoodie, then put my hands into its pockets, "unlike us, Kai is mostly an angel bringing pure love... secondary a starlight fairy. He would be probably the most shinning spot in any world we would enter." 

With that answer, I carefully took out the horned stuffed animal from my pocket. It was the one that Kai left to me back then, so I wouldn't worry about him and Taehyun. After adoring at it for a while and caressing it with my tumb, I reached out to the angel with it. 

Felix took it into his surprisingly small hands, as if some very fragile artifact. He exchanged a look with Hyunjin before turning it back at me. 

"To be honest... I'm not sure why, but it's not this angel nor the boy carrying the star fire who's aura shines the most..." 

"It's you," Hyunjin stated pointing at me with his hand. 

What? Me? It took me by surprise. How could it be me? 

"That's how we found you. We just escorted Changbin here, when I suddenly noticed the madly twinkling light of your lifeline," continued the angel of death. 

"Is that why you appeared right next to me?" I wondered. 

"We thought your life was in danger, but we found you rescuing that mad water fairy instead." 

"I haven't seen any drowning one yet," Hyunjin mumbled with a soft chuckle, as he kind of innocently observed the plushie as well. 

Mad water fairy... indeed. I clenched my fists and my jaw trembled again as I recalled the fear that filled me when I feared for Soobin's life. 

"He must be very important to you," the angel's empathic words and soothing voice brought me back to the present. 

I shook off the unpleasant terrible feeling and nodded. 

"That madman is more than that... I'm a dryad in the blood of the ancient tribes... that big part of me found love in him," I grinned and slid my hand down my neck. 

"He is not only someone I fell for... but literally someone who has the sap of my home tree running through his veins. Soobin is my lifeline." 

The angel and his chameleon fell back into the silence filled with the understanding that this was probably quite sensitive information. I couldn't just tell anyone, but if many children could safely follow these guys... I kind of trusted them as well. 

"... but that still doesn't explain why his aura shines so brightly," Hyunjin thought out loud, as Felix's sky-blue stars surrounded the small plushie so they could recognize Kai's essence and track him down... meanwhile I ducked back to the tree roots.

Taehyun can see auras, why didn't he ever mention this to me? Or did it only glow like that after my wings flew out of the chrysalis? 

Then a sudden moan interrupted my thoughts. 

I immediately pricked up my ears and looked back. Shivers ran down from my shoulder blades to my arms. 

"Did you hear that?" I whispered. 

The blond heads shook after a brief look around. 

Another sweet moan brought blood to my cheeks and made me quickly crawl on all fours to a group of densely grown trees, creating the potential for the perfect hideout. 

A single glance into the large pit between them was enough to get me back on my feet and stop the pair walking towards me.

"If you could just-" my hands warningly shot forward, "stay there." 

"Uhm, sure," Felix smirked awkwardly. 

Nod. Even more awkward smile. "Good." 

After making sure they wouldn't take another step closer, I went back and carefully climbed into the hole. 

"Did he find him?" 

"Probly..." 

With my heart driving my breath I crawled close to the dazed light fairy. 

"Kai...," I addressed him and ran my eyes over him again. His lost irises were shining pure gold under his heavy eyelids. 

"Can you hear me?" 

"Oh... dear gods, how am I so alone in this painful delight...," Hyuka groaned quietly in his sweet voice, making me even more flustered than his half naked well-built body that indeed looked like writhing in huge pain, while his hands were slowly sliding from his neck to his bare chest sprinkled with chills. 

I dug my fingers into my hair in despair. What do I do now? 

"Even this hurts me so bad, but...," he wailed again looking so unusually fragile, when he frowned his eyebrows and tilted his head in suffering. It seemed like he couldn't fight that lust after touching his own body, hoping for relief. 

Gosh, wake up - I slapped myself what also made my face turn into a painful grimace. 

Damnit... do something.

"Just handle it a little bit longer, okay? I'll help you to get to the water," I babbled and tried to focus on growing some really large and durable leaves that would be able to hide and carry Kai's sensitive body. 

I need to focus... just focus! 

"Beomgyu...?" 

However, I didn't expect Hyuka to defeat his paralyzed body and immobilize mine with a gentle grip on my exposed ankle. 

"Can't you just help me right now, my Rose?" 

Me? And now??? 

I threw my, a little bit scared, gaze on him, then pushed his wavy fair head onto my thigh in panic. 

"Don't talk nonsense...," I growled and made the first leaf wrap around his legs. Just a moment. 

"I can not be a virgin forever, anyway," he whispered against the skin on my side and I just screamed, because of not having a clue when he even managed to get under my hoodie. 

"Aah!! For-my-sanity's-sake stop it, please! Please!" 

Fortunately, Kai was still weak enough for me to deal with him. Soon his whole body was wrapped in leaves like a mummy and I could finally breathe freely. With the sweat drops under my bangs I called my angelic helpers to assist me and help get that heavy prisoner out of here. 

Kai couldn't remember most of the things that happened that night and morning...

... but I don't think he will ever forget that I threw him into the lake, completely unprepared, like a dead man.
