Hello! Thank you for all your support on Far From Sane thus far. Since you all asked for me to continue this, I'd just like to say something before we get into it.

Everything that will happen from this point on will be COMPLETELY from my imagination. I have no idea what will happen in the next Spider-Man movie and by the time it is out I will probably be long gone from Wattpad and living and adult life.

Also, I have very little idea on how law works. I've never been arrested so I seriously don't know what really happens when you get arrested and I've based what I've written on what I found on the internet and shows like Criminal Minds and Law & Order.

Now that that's out of the way, I hope you enjoy!

UPDATE AS OF 12/28/21: Hi! Since we have finally received a third MCU Spider-Man movie, I plan on writing a one-shot depicting No Way Home for the lovely characters of this series. I'm unsure of when I will get to writing it as I 1. Have a chaotic life and 2. Have other stories in the works. I will either unpublish these extra chapters once I write it or leave it as an option. "Oh my god."

Citizens in the streets were in an uproar over what had just been revealed just a minute ago. Peter's identity and reputation was torn to shreds thanks to Mysterio's lies.

The first thing Peter did was swing away. He had to get outta here. He had to hide. And he definitely couldn't go back to May's apartment after this.

Megan watched him in the sky, and she tried her very best to run after him. She wasn't sure where he was going, but she couldn't lose him after she just got him back.

"Peter!" Megan cries out. "Peter, come back!"

Peter could hear her voice over the crowd. He wanted to turn back, but he couldn't put her in danger. There were probably dozens of police officers after him right now, which he was right about. Moments later police cars sped fast every car on the road to find Peter.

"This is the police! Stop what you're doing and get on the ground! If you do not cooperate we will shoot!"

There was no other choice but to cooperate, and that's what Peter did. He stopped mid swing, landed on the ground then took off his mask and raised his hands in defeat.

One of the policemen take out a pair of handcuffs and walks over to Peter, getting ready to arrest him. "Put your hands behind your back. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say or do may be used as evidence against you in a court of law-"

"No!"

"-You have the right to consult with an attorney and have that attorney present during any questioning. If you can't afford an attorney, one will be appointed to you. Do you understand these rights?"

"Yes, I understand." Peter answers calmly. You could see the tears forming in his eyes as he said those words. His life was practically over and it seemed that there was no way he could recover from this.

"Stop!" Megan pushes through the crowd until she reached the front. "You can't do this!"

"Ma'am, please remain calm." The officer said.

"He's innocent!" She yells.

"We'll see about that. Boys, take him to the station." Peter is then escorted into the police car and taken away to the police station. Megan stood there defenseless without any idea of what to do. What could she do? The video was very convincing, but Megan knew the truth.

Megan rushed to Peter's apartment building, and luckily May's car was parked outside. She went to the front door and hit the buzzer to be buzzed in, but there was nothing.

"May!" Megan pressed the buzzer again, speaking into the little speaker. "It's me, Megan!"

She was then buzzed in, and she immediately ran up the stairs to Peter's floor. Once she found his apartment, she furiously knocked on the door.

May opened the door, confused as to why Megan was so worked up. "Megan! What's going on? Is everything alright?"

"They took Peter!" Megan blurts.

"What?"

"Turn on the news." Megan enters the apartment, and May gets the TV remote and turns on the news. They sure were quick to report it too.

"This is breaking news. It had just been revealed within the past hour that Spider-Man, revealed to be sixteen year old high school student Peter Parker, was behind the death of the fallen hero Mysterio-"

"Not my baby." May tears up and covers her mouth with her hands in shock.

"-Parker was immediately taken into police custody and is currently there for questioning. We have yet to receive any word on what else has been revealed."

"No, no, no." Now May was scrambling to get her things. She couldn't just sit there and do nothing either. Something had to be done. "I have to call Happy. He'll know what to do. Um, I gotta get to the station-"

"Let me come with you." Megan interrupts. "Peter needs us."

"Come on." She grabs her car keys. "I'm gonna give them hell."

When the two arrive at the station where Peter was currently being held, they see Happy almost immediately. It definitely didn't take him long to get there. "Happy! You're here!"

"I came as soon as I heard." Happy rushes to May and Megan.

"So we meet again." Megan says.

"That we do. You're his girlfriend now, I hope?" He asks, wondering if all worked out with the necklace, which it did.

"Hopefully I still am." She frowns.

"Oh." Happy frowns as well, then turns to May. "Well, I called a lawyer. He's the best there is. Worked with Stark for decades. He's with Peter right now."

"Happy, you didn't have to-"

"Hey, don't worry about it." He interrupts. "Peter is gonna get out of this. He definitely doesn't deserve to be in this situation after everything he's gone through. You know, losing Tony and all."

"Tony as in Tony Stark?" Megan questioned. She knew that Peter worked with him and all, but she didn't know that Tony's death affected him in more ways than one.

"Yeah. Kid looked up to him like a father." Happy replied. Now she felt bad for not knowing, but maybe Peter wasn't ready to open up to her in that way. She was just understanding the life of superheroes and avengers.

"Oh." She looks down. "I, uh, didn't know."

"Are you family of Peter Parker?" They all turn to see a police officer, one who actually looked very nice compared to the officers who arrested Peter.

"I'm his legal guardian." May slightly raises her hand. "These two are like family."

As much as Megan was touched to be considered family already, there wasn't any time to talk about that. "Alright. He's currently in one of our interrogation rooms right now but you're allowed to see him for a few minutes."

"Can I go?" Megan asks May. She assumed that it would be family only, but a bit of her hoped that she could see him.

"We're all seeing him." May insists then the three are shown to the interrogation room. He sat there, still in his suit, and it seemed that he had been crying a lot. How could he not?

"Five minutes." The officer deadpans and shuts the door behind them.

Peter hugs May first, whispering incoherent words as he buried his face into her shoulder. May was gently stroking his hair, calmly shushing him and telling him everything would be okay.

He didn't even notice Megan at first, but when he did he hugged her so tight it almost hurt. Peter just wished that time could stop and he could only hold Megan like this forever, but the sad reality was that everything was ruined.

"I'm sorry." Peter sobs.

"Don't be." Megan whispers. "I love you."

"I love you too." He sniffles.

They let go, and Peter wipes away the many tears shed and tries to get himself together. "I'm sorry, guys. I feel so stupid right now and I-"

"Peter, you are not stupid." May interrupts him. "If anything you're extremely brave."

"And innocent." Happy says out of nowhere. "We're gonna get proof somehow that Beck's a fraud."

"Um, well, the lawyer said that he doesn't know how I'm gonna get out of this." Peter looks down.

"Fucking lawyers." Happy scoffs.

"Happy!" May slaps his arm and looks at him wondering why he said that.

"What?" He shrugs. "I had serious faith in this guy!"

"I don't think anyone has been in this situation before!" She whisper yells.

"Of course no one has! It's everyday that-"

"Um, can I talk to Megan for a minute?" Peter talks over them. "Alone?"

Happy and May share a look, both questioning if they should let him, but they quickly agreed. "Yeah, sure."

May kisses Peter on the cheek on her way out, making Peter blush in embarrassment. "Love you."

When they leave, Megan quickly asks him what's up. By the look on his face, it didn't seem good. "What did you want to talk about?"

"I don't know if we can be together."
