007

On the boat ride to the hotel, many things were going on at once. If you thought Paris was the city of love, think again.

Megan and Michelle sat in the front of the boat with Brad nearby while Peter third wheeled Ned taking pictures of Betty. The scenery sure was great, but Peter had a better view.

"Peter's looking at you." Michelle whispers to Megan.

"Is he?" She questions. What kind of question is that? Of course he was. Michelle wouldn't lie.

"Yes! But don't look." Megan turns around anyway, but when she does Peter quickly turns the other way. He didn't know it, but Megan totally caught him for a second.

She turns back to Michelle with a slight frown on her face. "He was looking the other way."

"Yeah, because you went to look dumbass." Michelle sassed.

"Hey!" Megan gasped. "Don't diss the other half of MJ squared like that."

"You know I'm just messing with you." She pokes at her. "But why the frown before?"

"I don't know." Megan sighed. She knew why. She frowned because Peter turned away. "I wouldn't be surprised if he hated me."

"You still like him, don't you?" Did she? Megan wasn't sure herself.

"I would fight for him if he would fight for me." She replied, not exactly answering Michelle's question.

"He saved your life the other night." He did, but that wasn't the point.

"That's not what I'm trying to say." Megan said.

"Oh, you mean your relationship?" Michelle raised an eyebrow, if it even counted as a relationship.

"Was it even one?" She frowned once more.

"Kind of." Michelle shrugged.

Megan got to thinking. It was some stupid thinking, but she couldn't exactly help it. Curiosity killed the cat for a reason. "You think he still likes me?"

"Are you stupid?" Michelle laughed at her question. "Of course he does."

"Oh."

"Yeah."

Megan turns around to look at Peter again, this time he doesn't go to look the other way. He smiles at her, and she smiles back. Now Peter was trying his best to not scream his ass off in excitement.

Before he could hold himself back, the group arrived at a very run down hotel. "Looks like we're here."

The hotel itself looked very out of place compared to the other buildings next to it. There were people doing some sort of construction right outside of the hotel, but even that couldn't salvage it.

The group entered the hotel, and it looked even worse inside compared to the outside of it. The floor was one huge puddle, which wasn't good or safe at all.

"This place is sinking." Flash said in disgust as he and everyone else walked on the wet floor.

"I think you mean charming!" Mr. Harrington replied, trying to make light of the poor hospitality.

"Why is there a random cat?" Megan asked out loud.

"Megan, I think you should appreciate the beauty of the feline right in front of your eyes." That only weirded her out even more, then she started carefully walking away from the cat. "I'll pass."

"Alright, everyone!" Mr. Dell raised his voice to catch the attention of the students. "Drop your bags off and we're gonna meet at the da Vinci museum at three! Let's go!"

"¡Vámonos!" Mr. Harrington said cheerfully, not knowing he just spoke Spanish instead of Italian.

"It's andiamo." Michelle corrected him.

"We are in Rome!" Mr. Dell tries to hype the group up. "We do as the Romans do! We get our socks wet-"

"That's not what they do!" Megan yells over Mr. Dell.

And so they hit the streets of Venice, Italy. The hotel may be shitty, but the sights were way better.

Megan was currently walking with Michelle and Brad by her side, and she felt the sense of third wheeling. "Am I going to third wheel you two this entire trip?"

"What? No! We're all friends, right?" The word friends crushed Brad's hopes and dreams a little, but he can't expect Michelle to like him overnight.

"Right." Brad replied, trying to mask the pain that is being friend zoned.

Peter was nowhere in sight, and Megan couldn't be bothered to wonder where he was. She doubted it was Spider-Man business, so she could care less.

Megan was focused on looking around at all of the buildings around her, but then she was interrupted by something quite strange.

"Holy shit-" Pigeons began to fly onto Michelle, and she tried her very best to stay still. There were multiple pigeons on both arms and even one on each shoulder. Instead of helping her out, Brad took dozens of pictures of her, which was kind of creepy.

"Shoo!" Megan swatted her hands at the birds, and they flew away almost instantly.

"Thanks." Michelle thanked Megan.

"No prob. What's MJ squared without the original MJ herself?" Megan said, referring to the fact that Michelle was born first.

"True." She giggled. "Come on, I really want to try some espresso."

While they were out doing things that tourists do, Peter stopped by a small jewelry shop that was practically calling his name. He entered the place in hopes of finding the necklace he had in mind, and when he asked the man that owned the place what he was looking for, he had just the thing.

It was a necklace with a spider charm and a peridot, Megan's birthstone, in the middle. Even though it was corny to get a necklace that symbolized the fall of their potential relationship, Peter had hopes that Megan would one day accept Spider-Man completely, with the necklace as a way of showing it.

"It's perfect." Peter gazed at the necklace, one hundred percent satisfied with it.

Peter exited the jewelry shop, happily holding the bag with the necklace in hand. But out of nowhere, he encountered a little scare.

"Boh!" It was Michelle, who had previously ditched Brad and Megan to see what Peter was doing. She had to get some words through him before the trip really took off.

"Boh?" He asked, puzzled by the word.

"Boh. It's the most perfect word in the world. The Italians created it and I just discovered it." Michelle boasted over her new discovery.

"What does it mean?" Peter raised an eyebrow.

"That's the thing, it can mean anything. I don't know, get out of my face, I don't know and get out of my face." Michelle looks around for any sign of Megan, and she's nowhere in sight. "And now that we're in a conversation without Meg around, you have to get her back."

"What?"

"Look, I know it's weird coming from me but you just have to." She practically demanded. "I saw that look on the boat. I saw the look in her face too. I'm literally witnessing true love right in front of me!"

"True love? What are you-"

Michelle noticed the bag in his hand, and of course had to find out what it was. "What's in the bag? Is it for her? Tell me!"

"Boh." He smirked, using her new favorite word against her.

"Ah, I see how it is." And with that Michelle walks away and quickly finds Megan and Brad who were gazing at the water.

Peter follows her, keeping his distance. There was a slight rumble, meaning there was some sort of danger in store.

"Oh no." Peter said to himself. Yeah, "oh no" was the right thing to say.
