48, I SEE YOU IN HIM
Taehyung sprawled out on his bed, staring up at the ceiling like it had all the answers. His mind kept drifting back to that alleyway moment with Jeongguk. God, that stupid smirk of his, the way he leaned in all cocky. And don't even get him started on the jacket thing. Like, who does that?
Lending a jacket, getting all up close and personal. Taehyung could still feel the heat on his skin. He rubbed his face, trying to shake it off, but no luck.
"Man, what even is this..." he mumbled, cheeks burning again. He groaned, pushing the thoughts away.
The smile on Taehyung's face softened, his heart giving a small pang. "No one replaces you... you know that, right?
Then he did what he always did—imagined JK was right there, sitting on the edge of the bed, listening to him like always.
"You know what, JK?....Jeongguk said he knows violin," Taehyung spoke out loud, pretending Jeongguk was there, sitting on the edge of his bed like usual.
"You always said you like to play the violin, but I bet... , I know you're better than him. You've got those stupid talented hands and all." He chuckled, running his fingers through his messy hair, sighing again. "But whatever, he's still not better than you."
"Yo, JK, you know what's funny? Jeongguk's got the whole package, right? He's flirty, he's got muscles, he's handsome as hell. Literally everything someone would want."
He paused, eyes drifting to the side like he was really talking to someone. "But you know what? He's not you." He bit his lip, a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. "Nah, no one replaces you. No one even comes close."
He sighed, letting his head fall back against the pillow. "Jeongguk's cool and all, but he's missing... something. You know what I mean? Like, you're different, special. I'm messing around, flirting with him, but... I miss you. Always you." His voice dropped, softer, more vulnerable. "I'm serious. Just give me a sign, something. Anything. Please..."
He closed his eyes, the weight of everything settling in his chest, making it hard to breathe for a second.
Meanwhile, across the apartment, Jeongguk sat in his apartment with his violin, just staring at it. It was quiet, too quiet. His mind kept circling back to V. His playful spicy text, his stupid love for strawberries, all the little things that made him... well, him.
But his mind again wandered to someone particular person —
"V, man, you and those damn strawberries," Jeongguk chuckled to himself, shaking his head. "I miss you, dude. It's dumb, but I do. I love you. And I know I sound like a total sap right now, but I don't care. I just wish you'd show up already."
He ran his fingers over the violin strings, thinking about the last conversation they had. V mentioned wanting to hear him play, like, for real. Jeongguk sighed, his heart clenching a little. "You said you wanted a violin concert, right? I'll give it to you. Just... come back, okay?"
His voice cracked just a bit, but he ignored it, picking up the violin and positioning it under his chin. His fingers moved slowly at first, finding the rhythm that always made V smile. That same song V loved.
Jeongguk closed his eyes as the music filled the room, the notes soft but full of everything he couldn't say out loud.
"V... I'm playing for you," he whispered, his voice barely audible over the melody.
His chest tightened again, but he didn't stop. Couldn't stop. The music was the only way he knew how to say everything, and he hoped, somehow, V could hear it. Hear him.
"Just come back, man. Please..."
Later that day, Taehyung knocked on Jeongguk's door, and when he opened it, he was speechless. Taehyung stood there, looking like a dream—his hair perfectly styled, his outfit sleek, making him look downright irresistible.
"Damn, Tae," Jeongguk blurted out, his eyes wide. "You... look good."
Taehyung chuckled, brushing it off like it was nothing. "You're just saying that."
"Nah, man, seriously. You're... wow," Jeongguk stammered, his mind racing. But V's probably hotter, right? He shook his head, trying to snap out of it. He hadn't even seen V, but something about him always felt... more.
Taehyung stepped inside, his gaze wandering around the apartment. His eyes landed on a half-empty banana milkshake on the counter. Jk's favorite.
"You still drink those?" Taehyung asked, his voice softer, almost nostalgic.
Jeongguk glanced at the milkshake and shrugged. "Yeah, was just about to have it, actually. Love them, you know."
Taehyung smiled, but his eyes glistened for a second like he was holding something back. He quickly wiped the corner of his eye before Jeongguk could notice.
Jk loves it too!
"Oh... I don't remember you always talking about them," he said, trying to sound casual.
Jeongguk felt the awkwardness linger, but neither of them pushed it further. "Anyway, you ready? This party's gonna be insane."
"Let's get it," Taehyung replied, throwing on a smile.
They headed out, and soon enough, they arrived at the party. It was wild-people dancing like their lives depended on it, bartenders mixing drinks like pros, and hookups happening in every corner.
Jeongguk glanced at Taehyung again, catching him under the dim lights, and thought, Man, he's really something. But then, that nagging thought of V came creeping back. What would he even look like? Bet he's hotter than this.
They found Shezam in the crowd, and Jeongguk lit up. "There he is!" He waved Shezam over, and they all embraced, handing him a small gift.
"Shezam! Happy birthday, man!" Taehyung said, handing over the gift with a grin.
Shezam pulled them into a hug. "You guys made it!" He turned to Taehyung and added, "And you, Taehyung, lookin' sharp tonight."
Taehyung laughed. "Thanks, man. You too."
Jeongguk watched them interact, feeling that weird twinge of something. He liked the vibe but couldn't shake off his own thoughts. As the night went on, with the drinks, the music, and the heat of the party, those thoughts about V, Shezam, and Taehyung kept swirling in his mind.
Still, Taehyung's presence was undeniable, and every time their eyes met in the chaos of the night, Jeongguk couldn't help but feel something deeper pulling him in.
"You know, as you love playing violin...I want to learn Piano too,"
Taehyung said while taking a sip from his drink.
Jeongguk’s eyes widened as he heard...oh it's not just V who wants to learn it.
Before he could think of something else, the bronzer skin guy interrupted him.
"What else do you like other than playing violin?"
He asked eyes fixed on Jeongguk’s posture as he answered, "I..uh..loves paintings..like i have even got medals fot it you know?" The tattooed guy sipped a whole drink asking bartender for more.
His hobbies resembles so much with Jk.
Now, as they talk more....Jeongguk crave for V..cause the way Taehyung mentions his whereabouts of Korea, the tattoed guy couldn't help but to get his mind back to someone whom he'd been longing since long—V.
Similarly, Taehyung remembers Jk in the back of his mind...saying how much he loves rabbits, paintings etc.
The more they drank, the heavier the air between them got. Jeongguk felt that familiar ache for V stirring in his chest, but somehow, sitting this close to Taehyung, that feeling mixed with something else-something raw, something physical.
Taehyung's thoughts drifted to JK, the longing hitting him hard. But here he was, right next to Jeongguk, the alcohol blurring his desires.
Jeongguk glanced over at Taehyung, his breath catching for a second. "You good?" he asked, his voice lower, the booze messing with his self-control.
"Yeah... just thinking..." Taehyung mumbled, leaning in closer, their knees brushing under the table. His hand casually landed just near Jeongguk's crotch, fingers almost grazing. Jeongguk froze for a second, but the heat between them was undeniable.
"What're you thinking about?" Jeongguk muttered, his eyes darkening, the alcohol loosening his tongue.
Taehyung smirked, leaning in so close their noses almost touched. "Dunno, maybe... how much I wanna do something reckless tonight."
Jeongguk's heart raced. "Reckless? Like what?"
Taehyung's hand inched a little closer, heat radiating off his palm. "Maybe something we'll both regret... or not."
Jeongguk swallowed hard, his voice barely a whisper now. "You think I won't go there?"
Taehyung chuckled low, his breath warm against Jeongguk's skin. "I think we both know we're past that point."
Jeongguk's hand found Taehyung's thigh, fingers digging in just enough to send a message. "You sure about this? 'Cause once we go there... no turning back."
Taehyung leaned in even closer, his lips almost brushing Jeongguk's ear. "I've never been more sure of anything." The alcohol buzz between them was like fire, heating their bodies, pushing them closer to the edge.
The room, the party, everything around them disappeared, and all that was left was the heat building between their bodies, their breaths getting heavier, their words turning into a dangerous game.
Jeongguk's breathing hitched, eyes locked on Taehyung's hand hovering just a little too close for comfort—or maybe too close for anything but comfort. The alcohol was turning everything fuzzy, but the heat? That was crystal clear.
"You're playing with fire, Tae," Jeongguk muttered, his voice thick, but he didn't pull away. If anything, he leaned in more.
Taehyung's smirk deepened, fingers brushing against Jeongguk's thigh now. "Yeah? You gonna stop me?"
Jeongguk's eyes darkened. "Nah. Not stopping anything."
Taehyung shifted closer, his hand sliding higher, dangerously close now. The buzz of the party around them was just background noise, drowned out by the tension crackling between them.
Jeongguk's hand gripped Taehyung's wrist, but not to push him away—more like he was holding on for the ride.
"You been thinking about this, haven't you?" Taehyung whispered, voice low, teasing. His lips were so close to Jeongguk's neck, his breath warm, sending a shiver down Jeongguk's spine.
"Yeah," Jeongguk rasped, eyes half-lidded. "But you ain't ready for what happens if you keep going."
Taehyung chuckled, hand daring to inch just a little more. "Try me."
Jeongguk exhaled hard, the tension snapping between them as he gripped Taehyung's thigh tight. "You keep touching me like that, and we're gonna find out just how reckless we can get."
Taehyung's eyes flashed with mischief, his hand now fully on Jeongguk's crotch, teasing but firm. "Maybe I want to find out," he whispered, voice dripping with heat.
Jeongguk groaned, leaning in until their lips were almost touching. "You're pushing it, Tae."
"Then push back," Taehyung breathed, his lips ghosting over Jeongguk's, daring him to take that final step.
Jeongguk's breathing got all shaky as Taehyung's lips hovered right there, so close he could feel the heat between them. All he could think about was V—the way he always imagined his lips would feel: soft, warm, just perfect.
Taehyung was here, so close Jeongguk could taste the alcohol on his breath.
Taehyung's mind was spinning too, a flash of JK crossing his thoughts. He wondered what JK's lips would feel like, how they'd taste. That made his heart race a bit, and right now, Jeongguk was right in front of him, and that craving? That need? It was too much to ignore.
"Goddamn..." Jeongguk muttered, his voice low, eyes flicking to Taehyung's lips, then back to his eyes. "You gonna kiss me or just tease me all night?"
Taehyung's lips twitched into a smirk. "Depends... you ready for it?"
Without another word, Jeongguk's hand shot up to the back of Taehyung's neck, pulling him in fast. Their lips collided, hot and desperate, teeth clashing for a second before they found a rhythm. It wasn't soft; it was rough, needy, like they'd been holding back for too long.
"Fuck," Jeongguk mumbled against Taehyung's lips, the taste of him sending a fire through his body.
Taehyung groaned, his hand tightening on Jeongguk's thigh. "God, you—" His voice broke off as he kissed him harder, the thought of JK still flickering in the back of his mind and for now he wants to enjoy this heat of the moment.
Jeongguk's hand slid down Taehyung's back, gripping his waist, pulling him closer. He could feel Taehyung's heartbeat racing against his chest. "You thinking about me, or someone else right now?" he murmured between kisses, half teasing, half serious.
Taehyung's lips curved into a smirk against Jeongguk's mouth. "Maybe a little of both," he whispered, biting gently on Jeongguk's bottom lip.
Jeongguk groaned, his head spinning with a mix of desire and confusion. V's imaginary face flashed in his mind, but it didn't stop him from kissing Taehyung deeper, his body fully reacting. "Same," he whispered, the alcohol making everything hotter, more intense.
Their hands were everywhere now, gripping, pulling, desperate for more. It was messy, heated, everything blurred together. The party around them didn't matter anymore—just the burn of their lips and the fire between them, neither willing to stop.
Jeongguk's hand stayed on the back of Taehyung's neck, pulling him in closer, their lips crashing together in a heated mess. The kiss was all teeth and tongue, rough and messy, no hesitation. Both of them were lost in the alcohol and the moment.
"Fuck, you taste good," Jeongguk muttered, his voice low, breathless against Taehyung's lips.
Taehyung smirked, fingers digging into Jeongguk's thigh, dangerously close to where he knew it'd get a reaction. "I could say the same," he whispered, his voice deep, teasing. "Bet you weren't expecting this tonight, huh?"
Jeongguk chuckled darkly, lips brushing Taehyung's as he spoke. "Nah... but I'm not complaining."
They kissed again, hotter this time. Jeongguk's hand slid down Taehyung's back, pulling him closer until there was no space left between them. "You really gonna keep touching me like that?" Jeongguk muttered, Taehyung's hand drifting just below his waist.
Taehyung grinned, his lips brushing Jeongguk's ear. "You gonna stop me?"
"Hell no," Jeongguk breathed, eyes half-lidded, everything spinning. "But... you better know what you're starting."
Taehyung's hand slipped lower, just enough to make Jeongguk's breath catch. "Oh, I know exactly what I'm doing."
They kissed again, harder this time, like they couldn't get enough. But behind it all, Jeongguk's mind kept drifting back to V. What would his lips feel like? The thought messed with his head, and he couldn't stop. Not now.
Taehyung wasn't any better. In the middle of all this, JK's vividary face flashed in his mind, his lips. And he didn’t push the thought down, focusing on kiss. "You're dangerous, you know that?" Taehyung breathed, his hand gripping Jeongguk tighter.
Jeongguk groaned softly, eyes dark. "You're one to talk."
They stayed like that, lips locked, hands wandering, the alcohol and heat between them making everything feel too good to stop. Neither of them was thinking straight, and honestly, neither of them wanted to.
