"Oh so you turn up now huh?" Minseo challenged the ghost, anger laced in her already nasally voice from all the crying.

"I'm sorry, i didn't mean to," Seokjin looked down, not wanting to make eye contact with her, guilty about leaving her at such a devastating stage in her life. He wasn't there for her.

"My dad died."

"I know, I saw."

"You left me."

"Y-yes."

"You left me you left me you left me you left me you left me you left me-" Minseo said continuously while slapping at the ghost's figure repeatedly, hands flying and walking drunkenly. Even though her hands went through him at each attempt, she didn't give up on making her point.

She loathed him.

"You left me!" she finally screamed out and stopped her arms. It was as if the whole world didn't exist anymore, the earth stopped spinning the people stopped breathing and the only thing left in this pathetic world was her, him and the pouring rain. Her hands clenched into fists and her eyes started to glisten with fresh new tears.

"I was alone for 2 fucking weeks, I was mourning over my dead dad and you jus- you weren't here anymore. I was alone, Seokjin. Alone! I had no one and you decided to leave me when I was at my worst?"

"I'm sorry I just didn't know how to approach you after..."

"After what?"

"After leaving you."

"So you were gonna leave me for good huh?"

"It's not that simple Minseo. I have my reasons. I'm sorry," Seokjin pleaded with guilt in his eyes. Yes he resented himself for leaving minseo, but he resented himself more when he couldn't build up the courage to comfort her after her dad died.

After Seokjin left, he did go to her house numerous times. But only at night, when she was fast asleep. He caught her crying to sleep one night because of her late father, and although he was desperate to say something, he remained hidden behind her closet, watching over her half-sleeping half-crying frame. He felt the urge to pull her into a hug, kiss her forehead and tell her that everything would be okay. But he just couldn't. It wasn't right, to leave her for a week then come back and act all sweet to her when she's down.

"When did you decide that you have the right to make the calls here? I thought- ai thought you left me for good. That you weren't going to come back anymore. That maybe you've seen the light and went to heaven or or went to a place where ghosts go to. I didn't want you to leave. Do you know how much I've missed you?"

"I've missed you too, Min-"

"No don't give me that bullshit right now! Don't you dare act like you care. You didn't seem to care when you decided to leave my lonely ass."

"Minseo I'm sorry, I truly am. I didn't mean to hurt you and I'd do anything in the world right now to make it up to you."

"Well it's too late for that. I hate you." Seokjin dismissed her words and started to get more concerned over the fact that she was drenched in the cold rain.

"Minseo, you should find shelter and dry yourself, it's really cold, you'll end up getting sick."

"I said I hate you, didn't you get that?!"

"Stop being stubborn, Minseo. Call a cab, find a roof, you'll get a fever-"

"I hate you!" This time she shouted it with so much conviction that it broke Seokjin's heart a little. Instead of walking away and succumbing to her words, Seokjin did the absolute opposite.

He walked towards Minseo, carefully embraced her in his arms while she broke down. Yes, she couldn't physically feel his touch, but she felt something else. There was a sense of security that rose in her heart as she laid her head on his chest. She felt the warmth in his arms circling around her. The sound of him kissing the tip of her head erupted butterflies in her stomach. Seokjin had a way of making her feel touched without actually touching her. His embrace was the closest thing to love that she has ever felt in her life. She felt safe to cry in his arms.

"It's cold," he whispered into her left ear.

"No, it's warm."
