"Global Warming is no doubt on rise. Earth's temperature is rising. We've caused it and now we're trying to stop it.

Awareness, precautions, several measures are taken to prevent the depletion of Ozone Layer and stop the harmful ultraviolet rays to reach our beloved planet Earth.

But what happens if the sun stops emitting heat and light.

Guess then there won't be need for any measures because there'll be no rays at all. Problem solved.

Well, such incident took place five days ago, when the sun didn't show up anywhere, the temperature levels across the world are decreasing by minutes, if continues then history will repeat itself and there'll be another ice age.

The Sun has became a 'dark star' not emitting any light or heat. Scientists have no idea.....", someone switched off the radio.

Five days ago, the apocalypse took place and since then everyone is repeating the same news over and over without a hint of solution from anywhere.

Everyone has a different theory, some says that its our sins making us face this, some says its an alien invasion to destroy us and some has even absurdly described it as that some country trying to wage a war.

But, still the phenomenon has caused a havoc and a fight to survive has broken out which has caused humans to loot, murder, stoop to any level to survive.

Huddled up in a corner with other survivors, Kathie couldn't process the whole thing. Everything felt like a dream except that it wasn't.

She knew that in no time would these survivors become each others enemies as the stores are getting lower.

She had to find a way. But being a common teenager what can she do to save the whole earth.

She felt weak, vulnerable, had headache for five days. She thought, she could die any minute now.

Just then a fight broke inside the basement they were hiding in and somebody killed the other right in front of her eyes.

She was stunned. When someone's phone rung and he called out, "Is someone named Kathie here? There's a person called Drake who wanna talk to her."

She raised her hand unable to speak, took the phone and meekly said "Hello".

"Hi, Kathie. This is Major Drake here. Earth is freezing. No one will survive here. We want to save you and we know where you're hiding. But we don't want to cause any more bloodshed then what already happened there. Please come outside so we can take you to a safe place."

"Why me?" She asked.

"Because you can be an addition to our intelligence team. We had your background checked. Your father was a great scientist, you too are heading the same path with your records."

She couldn't say anything, just stood and went out.

There was a chopper waiting for her.

Without remorse she got on board, thinking "No use saving, who are already dead"
