Young Vamp
Julia knew she was different from the others for two reasons. One was that she was born to a vampire and a human. The second was that she inherited her mother's vampirism.
When Julia turned 15, she had a migraine that coated the world in red. As she looked for her pills and the migraine reached its peak, there was a knock on the door. "Julia, can I talk to you for a second?" It was her mom, Juliette. All Julia could do was groan in reply as the added noise started to overwhelm her.
She heard the door to her room open and footsteps coming toward her. "Easy, sweetheart, easy; I know the world is overwhelming right now. But I need you to focus on my voice, okay?" Julia calmed slightly at her mother's voice. "Can you tell me where your pills are?" The teen nodded and pointed to her desk on the opposite side of the room. Her mother looked at her.
Juliette's face was one of worry; Julia had never seen before on her mother as she went to get the pills. "They are getting worse, aren't they?" she asks as she hands her daughter the pills. Julia nodded as she grabbed the bottle, opened it, and took two of the red capsules, letting out a soft sigh as the pounding in her head stopped. "Yeah, almost a daily thing now." the teen replied. As Juliette looked at her daughter, she spoke, "You need to make your first kill or at least feed soon. Or this will only get worse for you." The teen thought nothing could get worse than what she was feeling now. "I don't want to kill or feed off anyone!" Julia hissed at her mother, who hissed, "You have to, or you will go feral, Julia."
"Listen to your mother, Julia. She has been through the same thing you are going through right now." the new voice startled both vampires, who looked around and saw Calliope leaning on the doorway, looking in on them as they fought. She looked like she had just returned from a previous night's hunt.
Her eyes were dark, and bruises were on her arms and face. She had changed from her hunter gear to a more comfortable sleep shirt and sweatpants. Juliette could sense Cal was exhausted from the hunt and told her to go to bed and rest, and she would take care of their daughter.
