Wolf Bite (part one)

(I know Cal is a monster hunter, but because I love werewolves, I wanted to tweak some things.)

Calliope ran through the woods from a threat she could hear growl just a few yards away from her. As her chest and legs began to burn and her speed decreased, she knew she would die or be turned into whatever was chasing her.

The thing got closer and closer, and then she heard it jump and felt the impact of the beast landing on her, biting into the flesh of her left arm. As the beast let go of the girl, she saw it leave her in the wood under the full moon's soft glow. Her eyelids grew heavy as she felt a change overcome her. She should have listened to Juliette when she told her not to go on a run tonight since that night was a full moon.

Calliope felt the primal urge to hunt and kill run through her as she cried out in pain, the feeling of fur growing out of her skin, bones snapping and rearranging, and sharp fangs growing from her jaw. A howl forced its way out of her chest. As she sniffed the air, she smelled Juliette's sweet smell, lavender, and peppermint. That was when she ran deeper into the dark woods. Why return home when you become a monster. Why return to the woman who accepts you for who you are when you can't even get yourself when the beast turned you into a beast no one could ever love.
