Chapter 6 - Stuck
"Oh Toby Fox..." Dream muttered.
Apparently, Blue had decided to have breakfast with Cross, who hasn't had eaten anything that morning.
And it turned out that Cross had never eaten anything with sugar inside of it inside of his entire life.
To add onto that list, Blue never informed the skeleton what was contained inside of his sugar packed pancakes.
Eating just a few had made poor Cross have his first ever sugar rush.
He was twitching, his bones rattling as he was shaking from the sugar rush. He couldn't stay still too, his fingers were rapidly tapping against the wood, a giddy expression on his face. His feet were bouncing up and down, banging against the underside of the table.
Ink remembered when Blue had blown through six boxes of poptarts in a morning, and had a sugar rush of his own. He had lasted for about an hour before it crashed, making him fall face first into his paperwork during a meeting, completely unconscious. He had been halfway throughout a sentence too, excitedly talking about the case when he passed out with no context.
Dream and Ink were in a fit of giggles when the other Jury members thought that he had a heart attack, even though he was a skeleton.
But this... This was on another level.
He pupils were frantically switching colors as he stood up, his chair slamming into the wall ten feet behind him before practically running into the door before opening it.
"Off to the library we a-go!" Cross yelled, running down the hall and slamming into the wall before turning on his heels 90° and disappearing from view, leaving Ink, Blue, and Dream to watch.
"I thought you said you didn't cook drugs, Blue," Dream said.
"I thought I didn't... Did I accidently add in some sort of drug without noticing?" Blue asked himself, poking the extra pancake on the plate.
"I don't think he accidently drugged Cross," Sci said as he stepped into the room, adjusting his glasses, "It just looks like Cross hasn't had that much sugar before, thus having a sugar 'rush', as some may call it, and will proceed to run around like a crazed animal until it wears off."
"That's terrific," Ink sighed, "We'll have to go chase after him.
"He'll circle around probably," Dream said.
Almost as if by magic, Cross had circled around the corner from the other end of the hallway go their left, running at top speeds to them before tumbling to a halt before them.
"What's taking so long! We're going to be late! Like, really late!" Cross said, bouncing up and down frantically.
"Should I grab something blunt to knock him out with?" Dream whispered to Ink.
"No, just let it run it's course," Ink whispered his reply.
"Yeah, let's go guys!" Blue said happily, jumping up and down with Cross.
"Guys, their multiplying," Sci said, "It must be some sort of zombie apololyse of Blue's."

"Madam Lust, it's time to get up now."
"Alrighty, thanks for the wake up call, your dismissed."
The sound if popping bones could be heard as he sat up, rubbing his sore hands from the amount of writing he'd done the night before. He had light purple pupils that were focused on the sheets down around him, peeling them from his body.
Yeah, he was a male, but the skeleton was dressed in a loose night gown made of pink and purple silks that was made for females. He was inside of a large bedroom, thick blankets surrounding him in a circle. Slowly, Lust tossed his legs over the side of the bed and stood up, taking his precious time to walk to the dresser.
Next to it on a hook hung a long dress, which was covered in frills. The dress itself was a bright neon blue with a few black ribbons wrapped around the neckline into a bow, while there was a fluffy neon purple scarf dangling from the hanger next to it.
Lust had been married into a wealthy family by his parents, who had wanted him to have a good life they could never give him. He didn't exactly mind, since he could still write to them, but there was one problem he didn't like.
The man he was married to didn't want anyone to know that he was gay.
So, he had Lust dress up as a women, wearing clothing that he absolutely despised. Lust never liked the bright stuff, it hurt his eyes whenever he even looked down. He didn't really mind his husband, he was a good guy at heart, he just was healthy afraid of anyone finding out that he was gay, since his parents looked down upon it. And if they found out...
Well, both of them were going to be kicked onto the street then.
It was better for both of them this way, but Lust hated it. The dresses and skirts were way too annoying, and the colors made him look like some entertainer in night bars. If he wasn't with his husband in any public place, guys would try to get them into their beds, which was the last place he would want to be.
Both of them knew that they didn't actually love each other, but that was okay for them. They didn't marry for love, they married for their own personal reasons. Lust, because of his parents wanting a better life for him, and his husband, since skeleton genders could only be told by their clothing, which helps him out greatly. They had both hoped that they would perhaps fall in love after the marriage, but that didn't happen.
Lust smoothed out his dress, turning to the full body mirror with a dull expression. He was used to it by now, not expressing things when he was alone. With the title of being the Not read of one of the wealthiest Dutchman in the Kingdom, he had to keep up an appearence in public. He would have to pull his teeth into a fake smile, giggle loudly, and always have his arms wrapped around his husbands one arm like his life depended on him.
Seriously, what was up with that? Lust couldn't understand why women were supposed to do that, it was just really stupid to him. He would say that to the King's face if he could, but obviously he would get into trouble and years of effort by his parents would be thrown down the drain.
But, his biggest complaint would have to be the shoes. He never thought he would hate high heals as much as he did. It took him a full week of training to get used to them, and his hatred had only built since then. They announced where he was by the stupid clicking against the ground, they made him feel unbalanced constantly, and they made his bones ache after only an hour inside of them.
They were stupidly, utterly pointless.
Lust slowly ran his fingers across the ring around his bones, feeling it's cold metal press against them. This was the life he had chosen, so he shouldn't be complaining.
But the shoes didn't get that excuse, he had nightmares about those things chasing him about.
"Lust, we're heading out," His husband said from the doorway.
He was leaning against the doorway confidently, but Lust knew that was not really him. He wasn't confident in himself at all, which is why he bent to his parents words constantly. Lust hsd been married to him for two years now, it wasn't hard not to see his true personality when they shared the same house.
He was tall, even for a monster, his body made entirely out of bright orange flames. He had a small pair of glasses on his nose, with an expensive suit to accompany it. The tie was tucked in neatly, his clothes newly washed and smoothed out expertly. He didn't make any moves to approach Lust, since they weren't really in love.
Just had to keep up their appearances, that was all.
"I thought the brunch party was canceled today, Grillby," Lust said, "Wasn't it?"
"It was, and still is," Grillby said, "But I need to go to the public library to get some new books for our library, it's now able to be filled with books."
"That means construction was ahead, that's good," Lust said, folding his hands together, "Let's go then, I heard the workers were making those sandwiches again."
There was only one up about pretending to be a cliché female, and that was being able to eat "femine" foods. If a male was seen eating stuff like sandwiches without the crust, they were laughed at and could never put it behind them. The same went for a female eating male foods like a shole steak, instead they were punished. Lust loved crustless sandwiches, which was considered a female food. So, pretending to be like a female allowed him to eat these foods.
He still hated the rules and hated King Asgore for the stupid sexism and racism, but he was their King, who was extremely powerful, so he couldn't do much.
He had wished that he could move into another Kingdom, where those problems didn't exist anymore, but there were problems with that. First off, King Asgore didn't allow anyone to leave or enter from the Kingdom, so the citizens contact with the outside was scarce, only imports and exports were allowed. And no one could simply sneak out, since his large Kingdom was spread out across a large island, and the only boats that were there were owned by the King. And he had a very strict staff when it came to these. There was no escaping, so Lust just had to suck it up and deal with it.
What was he going to do, swim across a whole ocean in a dress and those stupid high heals?
He doubted any help would be sent, either. Because of the strict restrictions on communication, he doubted the other Kingdoms even knew what happened with Asgore's people. They probably didn't know the starvation they faced, the problem wit crime increasing, the illnesses that randomly attacked, the selfishness of their King, the sexism, or even the racism. For all Lust knew, there was the same problems in the other Kingdoms, and they just all had their own problems.
But one thing was for sure.
He was stuck in this hopeless situation.
Utterly stuck.
《》《》《》
Yeah, it's ganna be that kinda book. Dealing with those world problems.
Found new friends who like UnderTale, my life is better now.
Amen to them.
I'm expecting this story to go on for awhile, so we'll be here for awhile, get yourselfs strapped in.
But I uploaded a new book about Sans being the Judge, basically where it's an extremely important role, basically like a guardian. It's called Judge's Duty, go check it out!
And how hard is it to get a ruler? I've asked my friends, none of them have one, and my parents keep forgetting to go buy one while grocery shopping. I just need a ruler to make the Shipping club comic!
(And I dunno if I mentioned it before, but Asgore is also sexist against females and racist against humans, so human females basically have the worst of it all. That explains why Lust has to act so cliché, since Asgore has placed laws that force girls to act like that. So, sharpen your knifes now.)
One last thing, I got more fanart of Geo, and I love it! It's by CupcakeCursetale, a really talented artist!
