Chapter 11 - Yelling
"Geno, I know your the Minister of War, so this technically shouldn't involve you, but I need all of the monster power I can have on this case," The King said as soon as he closed the door to his Office.
"What's going on?" Geno asked, curious.
"Recently, I have been getting reports of some officers being attacked at night, and I thought nothing of it," King Asgore said, holding out a piece of paper to the two, "But it looks like a group of people are planning to try and overthrow me."
Edge took it, holding it close to his skull as he read it. Once he was done, he then handed it to Geno, who swiftly read over it.
'King Asgore,
We won't stand for this anymore.
This Kingdom is on it's last leg, and if you don't try to fix it, it will crumble.
I will not let these people die in a place like this.
Rather you fix your mistakes, or you won't have a Kingdom to help.
We won't hold back any thing.
-An angry citizen'
"Looks like the people are planning a revolution," Geno commented, giving the piece of paper back.
"It seems they started a secret organization to use, so it doesn't look like all of the citizens are involved, just a small handful," Edge pointed out, "So, we can probably overtake them easily. Where did you find this?"
"On my bed, in my room," Asgore said, frowning at them.
"That isn't good," Geno said.
"It looks like they probably are servants that work in the castle," Edge said, "Do not worry about it, King Asgore, we will deal with them and make a show of what happens to people who don't follow you."
"You both better, I want Geno to work with you on this," Asgore said sharply, turning around, "The thing that makes me angry the most is dealing with questioning citizens. Show them who's in charge."
~~~~~~
"Geno, get out of the way!"
He was shoved to the side.
"No, Rus! Don't leave me!"
The sound of dusting in the air.
"Listen, kid, you shouldn't have interfered with us vampires. We're at a power level you will never be at."
Flashes of red and dust as he stared down at the remains of his brother.
"Dyrus, I- did you just kill that kid?"
Tears. Lots of them.
"He was interfering with our plans, Death, and he was kinda a brat."
So much hatred, he never hated someone before.
"He was just a kid, Dyrus! What would Dust say?"
Geno couldn't see out of his right eye. Was he blind in his right eye now?
"Don't tell Dust. He'll get angry at me."
Toby Fox his ribcage hurt.
"We aren't supposed to kill innocent people! Especially children!"
Oh, there was a long cut across it. Right, when that vampire had struck him before trying to take a final blow.
"What are you going to do about it?"
His brother had taken the blow for him. He was holding his brothers red scarf.
"I really thought you would be a good addition, now you're just a waste of a monster. You're just like that tyrant King."
Geno wasn't paying attention, he was just sobbing.
"Are you seriously protecting this normal monster?"
He hated vampires.
"I thought you were a good addition, but it looks like I waa wrong. You're just a waste of a vampire."
He would get revenge.
~~~~~~
Geno nervously felt his bandaged eye socket when that memory appeared inside of his mind, leaning against his closed door.
(If you forgot, instead if a glitch cloud over his right eye, it's bandaged.)
That memory still burned clear in his mind. He was one of the lucky children who were born in a high class family, and a family that had loved him. But, one night, a group of vampires had broke into his house, and killed his Father.
Yeah, he knew his Father was a jerk who sold illegal products and tricked others into debts they couldn't get out of, so Geno didn't care that he was dead.
But, they had killed his brother, and that was unacceptable.
He hadn't done anything wrong, he was just learning how to multiply, he had so much to do in the world. Then, a tall and skinny vampire had strayed from the other cloaked one, and just started attacking them. And his brother had saved his life, at the cost of his own. He had taken his scarf out of his dust that night, hugging it close to his chest.
But, he didn't hate every single vampire. He couldn't. A cloaked one, apparently nicknamed 'Death', had saved him that night, chasing the other vampire out of his house. He never saw either again, so he was sure the killer of his brother had killed the other. And even if his savior had lived, he would've hit old age by now and dusted naturally, judging by how he seemed to be the older, and sounded pretty old with his deep voice.
Anyway, Geno doubted he would see this Death again.
But he would find out what happened to the vampire that had killed his brother.
That's why Geno and Edge had spent so much time together, they both had wanted revenge for a death or loss of a family member due to the vampires, which was why they were constantly trying to find their hideout together. And that was why they both spent so much time close to the King, sucking up to him at every turn, to get him to allow them to hunt for the vampires.
Heck, it was even why Geno got that specific job, to find them!
But, now, when his work had finally started to pay off, the King had assigned the two to a completely different assignment, so now he wasn't even able to do what he wanted to do!
He knew he didn't like the King before, but this was crossing the line.
Geno wanted to scream, take out his anger on someone.
And unfortunatly, that person had turned out to be poor Blue, who had knocked on his door moments later.
"Geno, are you in there?" He asked, his voice muffled by the door.
"I am, but I don't want to talk," Geno grumbled.
"Something bad happened!" Blue said, "Like, something really bad. Cross and Ink are gone."
"Go away already," Geno growled, not in the mood to talk to Blue.
"Are you alright? Did something happen?"
"Shut up," Geno grumbled.
"Geno, I'm coming in."
Geno stood up from against the door, turning towards it just as Blue had opened it, a concerned look spreading across his skull.
"What?" Geno snapped.
"I'm... Concerned, everything is going badly... Ink and Cross are gone... And you're upset at something... Everything is just failing right now."
"We should've known, we live in this screwed up Kingdom anyway," Geno said, grabbing the door, "Probably why some citizens are planning some sort of revolution."
"What?" Blue asked.
"Are you just going to bug me more, or what?" Geno asked, just done with the interacting.
"Geno, what happened today?" Blue asked, "Are you ok?"
"Just go away already, you're really annoying!" Geno yelled in annoyance, slamming the door shut right onto Blue's face.
Leaving Blue alone in the hallway.
He stood there, staring at the closed door before he took a step back, a sob escaping his mouth before he covered his teeth.
~~~~~~
"Honey, listen to me, please, you aren't yourself when you're drunk!"
"Just go away Blue, you're really annoying!"
~~~~~~
Why did people always do that to him?
Blue let out another sob, turning towards the direction of his room and hurrying down the hall, not even bothering to close the door.
This day was just plain awful.
First, the only information they found had disappeared. Then Ink seemed depressed, then he and his new friend went missing, and Geno didn't care, yelled at him, then slammed the door in his face.
Blue had grabbed a random pillow and shoved it into his face, more sobs racketing his body as he cried, tears staining the once clean pillow. Everything about that day was just going downhill, it would probably get worse, too.
And he couldn't just quit his job, he needed the gold.
So, Blue just sat there and cried into his pillow, waiting until they quieted into whimpers, wiping away the edges of his sockets.
"Blue, I heard some crying, are you alright?" Sans asked, stepping into the room.
"I guess," Blue lied, sniffing.
"Obviously you're lying," Sans said sitting on the corner of the bed.
"I can't find Ink and Cross amywhere, Dream is checking with the guards to see if they left or not," Blue said, hugging his knees to his chest, "Then Geno yelled at me."
"Geno's probably in a bad mood, he was assigned to something he didn't want to deal with," Sans said, "Then, with that news, he just probably wants to be alone right now. I'd feel pretty bonely without anyone around, but everyone os different."
"That was terrible," Blue said.
"You're smiling."
"I am and I hate it."
~~~~~~
Lust couldn't help it.
He was a naturally curious skeleton, after all.
Grillby had a meeting, which he didn't need to attend, so Lust had been sitting at the house for the rest of the evening, reading some of the books he had collected from the library. He had set the one from the person who had been in a hurry onto his nightstand, but he kept glancing over at it.
It didn't look like regular books, so it intrigued him.
And since he just finished one of his books, he could read it...
Oh, what the heck.
Lust grabbed the book eagerly, quickly flipping it open. It was written in pencil, which made him feel guilty for reading it, since it must've been that skeletons diary.
But Lust loved reading diary types of books, so the guilt was gone pretty quickly.
Almost instantly, he had been absorbed into the book. He loved the stories about vampires, even though there were few, it excited him. He never had a vampire experience himself, and never heard of one, so he was curious to see if there were any vampire stories. Obviously he had been disappointed, until that night.
The author of this probably just sat down and wrote a story about a character learning about vampires in the form of a diary, then didn't get it published because they just came up with the vampire traits of the characters in the story. Or they were too embaressed.
Maybe the skeleton in the library had been writing this story, and he had an unfinished original story he was reading!
Well, he'd definitely have to find them now.
But the story was interesting, it was about a newly turned vampire, who was a skeleton named Horror. He had made some quirky friend characters too, who had such interesting personalities that Lust would love to hear their opinions on normal things. There was Dust, a vampire who loved torturing, who was his roommate. Then there was the leader, Error, who was the leader, and even though he acted cold and cruel, he secretly loved to create dolls. There was Nightmare, the second most powerful, who would always sit on everything but a chair when he could, since he didn't like chairs for whatever reason. After that was Fell, who seemed normal at first, but had funny stories to tell constantly. And there was also Killer, who liked to wrap himself inside a cucoon of blankets and just lay there and think about life.
Oh, how excited he was to read this book.
《》《》《》
Don't you just hate it when you're really excited to write a book, but you don't actually want to type it out? Instead you just sit there and hope for what you want to happen just form into words so you don't actually have to type it? But the world doesn't work that way, so you have to type it.
But, I've been drawing, in the mood for a creepy Chara.
I feel pretty proud of this drawing!
