Jasper's POV

We we're running to a house. Alice wanted us to meet three girls that she said we would like them. I was honestly kind of excited. As we got there, a girl opened the door and introduced herself as Scarlet. She told us we could come in so we did. That's when two more girls came running down the stairs and one tripped over the other and they both screamed, causing us to laugh a bit. That's when I saw her face. She said her name was Phoenix and we could call her Nix. My jaw dropped. This was the girl that I saved after she was hit by a train. I was already a vampire and I felt so bad...

(FLASHBACK)

I was walking down the street and heard a train coming this way and looked at the tracks. A girl was running after, what looked like, her little brother. The little boy ran into the forest and she got hit. I ran over to her and picked her up. I set her down by a rock and bit into her neck. I covered her mouth with my hand and pulled away, knowing if I stayed biting her any longer I wouldn't have the strength to pull away. So when she passed out I left a note, telling her what she had to do.

(BACK TO NORMAL)

I couldn't believe it. She was here. I ran away. I wasn't ready to face her. She was possibly the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. I ran to a lake and sat down.
