THE SELECTION

So I recently read the Selection by Keira Cass and though it was no doubt an amzing book but.... it was TOO much like The Hunger Games. And before you say that all dystopian books have a bit of Hunger Games in them, let me say a BIT but the similarity here was too much. Below I have listed some
●The CAST system. Why necessarily numbers like the districts of THG, why not words or something else?
●The STRONG boy who hates the system. GALE and ASPEN. Why not a guy who does not hate it? Why not someone who will always encourage America. And by the way, while GALE is loveeee I don't like ASPEN at all!!!
●Lucky draw for a televised competition.
●The LOVABLE little sister. And I think May is better than Prim. I hope she does not die. And No Spoilers About Anything in the Comments plz.
●The SONG BIRD accessory. Siriusly why did they even had to add that? Thank God she didn't dress as one for Halloween!
●A love for food. Once again, siriusly? She could as easily have been in love with dresses.
●A little too much CARING staff. But I love both Mary, Anna and Lucy, and Cinna and the prep team.
●Also I think all these books are too expected! Everyone knew America will marry Maxon just by reading the blurb! What if it was written from Maxon's prespective? Then, we would have all been more curious for the end as no one would have known so soon who the heroine was.
●A BAD ruler! First SNOW and now CLARKSON.
●A celebrity TV host. Though both of them were amazing! :-)
●And of course a very similar confused LOVE TRIANGLE. Why couldn't she just have forgotten about Aspen? Why couldn't she have fallen for Maxon's elder brother (there should have been one) who was already married?
But all the same, I loved the books! I read the three books in three days! Now I am gonna try and take a break before reading The Heir.
