Yesterday I was reallllly missing my middle school friends

Well, I saw one of them today
I had this thing I could go to where I could win some stuff or something and she was there!

I literally started crying from happiness ummmmmmmmmmmmmm

Yeh

The event was really stupid. If they had just read off the numbers like normal people we could've been done in like an hour to an hour and a half

But no
They had to stop
Make jokes
Rap
Advertise
Yell
Scream
Blah blah blah
Overall the entire thing took over 2 hours and it SUCKED

at first I didn't win anything and I was going to throw in the towel but I didn't because I wanted to continue hanging out with my friend

Eventually she left and gave me her ticket. By then my dad had left to go get food from Costco so we had to stay anyways

So I'm sitting there waiting and waiting till they said
"OK WE'RE DOING REDRAWS"
Because sometimes people didn't pick up the prize because they didn't want it. So they redraw

And I just look at the two tickets in my hand
"174..."
Alrighty both have 174, nothing special they've been calling those three for a while anyways
"1740"
Ok well my card is out I had 174770
"17404"
Ummmmm *heart starts beating faster as my friends number was 174042*
"You know this is funny. You can see them on the edge of their seats waiting patiently"
Would you just get to the last number or I will go to that stage and pummel you for stalling
"174042!"
My brain: Hey idiot you lost ag-
My brain: Wait
My mom: KAYLA YOU WON
Everyone in my building: *claps loudly as I stand up*
(There were 3 buildings we were in number 1 so there was a projection of them reading the numbers)
Me: *Walks out slightly embarrassed to the prize stand still listening to my music*

Yeah I won :)
With my friends ticket
We told her and she congratulated me
More on that later

So I go and collect my prize which was apparently an $850 gift card to some place that decorates houses, a selfie stick, and a mug with emojis on it

At least I can drink hot chocolate out of it while I watch Jacksfilms countdown to the Emoji Movie ;)

I didn't win the car but I went in with low expectations soooooo
Out of all of it I really wanted the Skull Candy Headphones

I was trying to get wifi to update this earlier but the only wifi was either locked or one of those "yell "-insert something stupid here- for password"

You think I'm kidding don't you?

There was another one that was "yell "YES DADDY" for password" but it moved out of range before I could take a screenshot

//being honest here I was so desperate I almost did it

Ok so onto the phone call

I wanted to text my friend but my mom said nah it doesn't matter

Then my dad got mad at ME and said "she'll find out eventually and I feel like it would be nicer if you told her"
Yeah thanks dad I DID want to tell her

I was going to text her but my dad said "call her, it's nicer"
Dad, this is my friend who will tell you to be happy if you're bored. I don't think she cares whether it's a call or a text

My mom gave in and I called her and told her what happened
It was the most pathetic call of my life. I was giggling from awkwardness and kept saying "umm" "so yeah" "or something" and it was just overall awkwarddddd
Not to mention I ended it with "so... bye...?" And we hung up

And my dad just looked in the mirror of the car and said
"You're that awkward????"
Thanks dad
Then my mom says
"That was like watching a train wreck happen and there's no way to stop it or not watch"
Thanks mom

He promised he'll take me outside more and teach me to talk to people so yay for me *sarcasm*

We start heading down to the beach (cause that's where we're going) and I'm watching HP and the Half Blood Prince on my iPod and I look out the window and rest my chin in my hands and this girl across from me twiddled her fingers in a waving motion and then rests her chins in her hand, copying me
So I giggle and wave back and she smiled and then a friend next to her waves to me too

They fall behind but when they catch up and pass us they do big waves and I wave back
That was pretty cool :)

For someone who hates the beach I sure do love the smell of the ocean
