Chapter 9: I Never Knew It Pt.2

I've never watched his reading your comments #4 and I regret it still. The way he looked when he was on the ground. I just... I just couldn't take it. Without a shadow of a doubt I clutched my phone and dialed 911.

911 what's your emergency?

My boyfriend is on the floor and he's not breathing.!! I think he's passed out or something!!! You need to come quick!!!

Okay ma'am calm down we will be right there. What's your address, honey.

(Insert address here)

Okay we are sending an ambulance service right now.

O-okay.

Do you know CPR?

I paniced.

Uh. N-No.

Tears rushed down my face as I glued my eyes to Mark. "Don't leave me, Mark! PLEASE!!" I pleaded with my eyes stinging from hot tears.

Ma'am I'm gonna need you to do CPR until we get there, okay? I'll direct you through it.

I nodded my head even though my hands were shaking with nervousness.

Okay, spread out you right fingers and clutch in between them with you left hand.

I did as I was told. Mark's chest didn't rise and fall as it did all the time.

He's not breathing!!

Okay ma'am, let me help you finished the CPR. Now put your hand on top of his chest and pushed in with a lot of force okay. Now do that 40 times every second until we get there. We will be there as soon as possible.

Why now? Why tonight? Why Mark?

I've already lost one of my friends, (for those who got what I just meant, VOTE! ) I don't need another one gone. I continued the CPR until I heard sirens. Two guys with stretchers busted in the door and picked up Mark with no effort. His body flopped on the wheeled like bed as it was loaded into the ambulance truck.

"MARK!!" I cried out as they closed the door to the back, preventing me with any contact with him. One of the guys stepped in front of me and gently pushed me back.

"You're gonna have to stay back, miss."
And with that, the ambulances raced to the nearest hospital. My knees had no choice but to give out and fall down. I sobbed like a maniac in the middle of the street as I watched and heard the screeching tires of the ambulance truck take away...
