The Riordan Generation

Reading a Rick Riordan book is the best feeling in the worlds (yes, I put worlds, Riordan fans will know why)

If you don't know who Rick Riordan is, you haven't yet lived. He's the author of Percy Jackson, The Heroes of Olympus, Magnus Chase, and The Kane Chronicles. Also, soon to be The Trials of Apollo.

He is by-far my favorite author. His books are funny, but still can make me cry, he can write AMAZHANGLY, and is still such a nice guy that everyone in the fandom calls him Uncle Rick. He is the master of cliff-hangers and trolling, but still replies to tweets and posts. He based Annabeth Chase, the main female character of Percy Jackson, off of his wife, because he wanted to show how much he loved her, and he based most of the campers off of the kids he used to teach. The story of Percy Jackson he told to his son because he wanted his small, ADHD and dyslexic boy to know that even if you have obstacles in life, you are still a hero like Percy.

That's why I love him.

And I'm sick of people tweeting hate at him because of his cliffhangers and how he ended the last book. This man is my idol, and just the thought of him getting so much hate is sickening to me. People get mad that he put certain characters together, that he let Hollywood give Percy Jackson a bad name, and that he 'didn't end the series correctly'.

So yeah. I'm done ranting.

I am proud to say that I am apart of the Riordan generation.

Thank you Uncle Rick, for giving us such wonderful role-models as Percy, Annabeth, Jason, Leo, Piper, Hazel, Frank, and all the others. We love you.
