This was one of the best days of my life oh my god.

I. Met. James. DASHNER.

At Supanova this year, James Dashner came to different cities to meet his fans, all for free. I got my entire collection of The Maze Runner signed.

He was the nicest man. He was so easy to talk to, genuine and he honestly loved what I had to say, and that his fans came to see him. We talked for a while, considering there was a line and these things are generally rushed. It was easily six or seven minutes.

As much as Teresa made some mistakes in the series, I love that she had character, and a great story arc and she was so complex, 3D. She wasn't some cookie-cutter dystopian character. I told him this, and was so passionate about it that he had a wide grin on his face. He told me he was so happy someone appreciated the amount of effort he put into her character.

The fact that he also didn't make his fans pay money to see him just shows how much he genuinely just wants to have them happy, to see them. He doesn't care about the money, and I think that's really amazing.

I know they say don't meet your idols, but this man deserves all the love in the world.

Plus his sister's name is Sarah.
