Under The Rainbow Lights - Game of Thrones/Witcher mash up

It wasn't everyday the children got to go on a field trip, and it certainly wasn't everyday they got to have their parents or guardians be there to witness the fun they were having. Today they would get to go on a special trip to a museum. The children were extremely excited.

Ciri and Arya were happily chatting, showing off to one another what their dads packed them for lunch on their trip. The two girls were extremely close, they both lost their parents in different ways but someone very special had taken on their care. Arya just had her 'father' while Ciri had her two adopted dads and mother. Regardless they were happy with the family that they had. They were also extremely excited because they wanted their dads to meet each other. The three men were coming to chaperone on the field trip to the Rainbow Garden Museum.

It took a lot of convincing for the girls to get all three to come on the same day, Ciri had even tried to get her mother to join them on their adventure at school but she only got two out of her three parents which she was fine with all things considering.

Arya and Ciri were trying to get their families together, they wanted to be sisters, real sisters. The two were conspiring to have Arya's dad join Cir's parents polycule. All he had to do was hit it off with one of them.

Ciri looked up to see her two fathers come into the room, she waved enthusiastically. "It's beginning."

Arya nodded happily. Their teacher, Mr. H'ghar smiled and waved as the parents began to pile in. Arya was waiting patiently for her adopted dad.

Sandor took a deep breath as he smoothed down his hair, the burns on his face had always been off putting for some people and he didn't want to make Arya's classmates nervous of him. He worked hard to protect Arya since she had entered his care and it wasn't always easy making friends with the other parents.

He wanted to make a good impression, specifically with the male parents of Arya's best friend Ciri. He took one more deep breath and stepped into the room. Arya's face lit up, his heart melted a tad bit. She could always make him smile. No matter the circumstance her smile calmed him. He noticed the young blonde girl standing beside her speaking happily to two men. One man had long white hair braided in certain places, while the other had short brown hair. He had a tattoo of a lute and a music note on his forearm.

He stepped up to them, he could feel a few of the other kids staring at his burns but he tried to pay them no mind as Arya hugged him. "Mr. Geralt and Mr. Jaskier this is my dad, he took me in when I was really young just like you did for Ciri. His name is Sandor."

Geralt sized Sandor up, usually Geralt was the largest man in a room till you got all of his brothers in it, but Sandor met his gaze eye to eye. "Mr. Sandor."

"I assume you're Geralt?" Sandor asked, putting out his hand hesitantly. Few men met his eyes, the only man he had ever met that was taller was his no good brother.

"I am, and this is my husband Jaskier."

Jaskier waved, smiling big, Sandor examined him closely. He was cute to say the least, his eyes were a beautiful blue and it was clear he spent a lot of time making himself look presentable. Sandor then looked between Ciri and Geralt and realized both of their hair was braided the exact same way and it dawned on him that it was Jaskier who did the hair of the family. "Hello Jaskier." Sandor finally managed out after looking him over.

"I don't mean to pry but your scars, how did it happen?" Jaskier asked.

"Song Bird." Geralt warned side-eyeing his husband with his piercing yellow eyes.

Jaskier's face grew a dark red, "Sorry you don't have to answer that.. Always looking for story inspiration where I shouldn't."

Arya could tell it was growing tense. "Jaskier is a songwriter and author. He doesn't mean any harm."

Sandor smirked looking his daughter over, he could tell she was fond of Ciri and her family. "It's alright, really. It's a bit of an eyesore. When I was very young my brother thought I stole his toy, as punishment he pressed my face to the flames."

Jaskier's eyes grew wide. "I... I'm sorry."

"Don't be, you didn't know if it was from a trauma or me rescuing someone." He chuckled softly and under his breath whispered. "Bards."

It was clear from the soft smirk that plagued Geralt's face he had heard his whisper. "Alright parents, guardians. We are headed to the museum. Please gather up your children."

Ciri and Arya held hands on their walk to the bus. Their fathers walked behind them and honestly they couldn't help but smile seeing their girls getting along so well.

"They're close." Jaskier mused, he was the only male parent truly in on the secret. He honestly found Sandor attractive even with the scar but knew that there had to be a conversation between every member of their relationship before they brought another person into it. Specifically if they were adding not one but two mouths to feed.

He also wasn't so sure about having two pre-teen girls livng in the same house. It was a lot to think about, but Ciri couldn't keep her mouth shut when it came to her father daughter talks with Jaskier. He knew his daughter's desire to have a sister, and he wanted to provide that to her in any way they could possibly manage.

Yennefer adored Ciri, and saw her as her own child. When they got the news Yennefer and Geralt were both infertile it was hard, but Ciri came into their life not much later and it had been one of the most joyous days to their little family.

Geralt looked down at Jaskier with a look of question, he could always tell when Jaskier was hiding things. "What is it Jaskier?"

Jaskier looked to Sandor as he climbed into the bus, he took a seat behind their girls. The seats were big enough for three adults, and about four kids. Two other girls had taken their seats beside Ciri and Arya and left the adults to sit behind, which was what the girls were going for.

"This is a plot, set up by the kids." Jaskier replied, pretending to tie his shoe.

"What do you mean by that, my song bird?" Geralt inquired lowering himself to the ground knowing Jaskier was hopeless at tying his shoe.

"The girls wish to become sisters, real sisters. They wanted us to meet Sandor to bring him into our relationship. I think Ciri must have overheard our conversation the other night and it sparked ideas. Our cub is growing up, you know she has always wanted a sibling."

Geralt bit his lip, his eyes examined Jaskier's carefully. "Do you find Sandor attractive?"

"Generally speaking I do. I think Yennefer would also find him particularly handsome since she seems to go for brooding broken men wouldn't you agree, my wolf?"

Geralt smirked, he was riddled with scars beneath his clothes. While Sandor wore his upon his face Geralt certainly had plenty of scars to show a life of hard work and a dangerous job. "Have you told anyone else?"

"Yennefer is aware, I told her before we left knowing what our child had planned."

Geralt chuckled. "What did she say?"

"She told me all she required was that he would treat our Ciri with love and respect, and that at least one of us was willing to bring him in. Let's give him a chance, maybe this is what our family needs now."

Geralt nodded softly. "Let's discuss this during lunch with Sandor. I would like to see how he is with the girls at the museum." He offered his hand to Jaskier and helped him up off the floor. Jaskier followed him inside and sat between Geralt and Sandor on the ride to the museum.

Once the group arrived they followed a tour guide around the entire building, they learned of many beautiful paintings, sculptures, and of ancient histories. Geralt smiled watching Ciri and Arya point out certain things and talk about them to one another, their friends, or one of their parents.

Geralt also particularly enjoyed watching Jaskier, he was enthralled with the paintings and statues. Sandor stood beside Geralt with a faint smile on his face. "He's very artistic," Sandor mentioned, it was a statement clearly but there was a hint of question in it.

"Yes. He is." Geralt smiled. "He's a musician and songwriter, he writes novels and short stories in his free time. Photography and painting. I don't really know what he doesn't do, well except for knitting. He tried that once, we had yarn all over the house and a very angry Jaskier."

Sandor snorted and Geralt grinned. "He's very pretty." Sandor said plainly, he wouldn't sugar coat it. It wasn't like he was coming up to Geralt and saying I want to meet your husband in the sheets(even if he did want to). "Where did you find him?"

"At a karaoke bar. My wife and I were bar hopping and there he was on stage. Wine drunk, singing at the top of his lungs. Even drunk he was particularly good." Geralt chuckled. "And you're right he is very pretty."

Sandor smirked and nodded. They walked to the next room and the entire room lit up in light from a spiraling staining glass ceiling. Ciri and Arya were standing in the center, the light refracted off the floor and covered them in a blanket of rainbows. Sandor stood in awe of them. "You both look like princesses," he smiled, rubbing Arya's cheek and giving Ciri's hand a squeeze.

Geralt and Jaskier stood side by side watching as the rainbow light shone over Sandor. "I think you're right, he is what our family needs right now." Geralt whispered, kissing his forehead softly as he watched their daughter and Sandor interact. Arya and Ciri were laughing and chatting happily with him.

Jaskier nodded. "I'll inform Yennefer he may be coming home with us."

Geralt nodded pleased, even if they weren't supposed to be in on the secret he was proud of his girl and happy to see she wanted them happy.

They followed their tour group until the lunch bell was rung. The children were all set up on three tables together while the parents were meant to mingle. "So, Sandor... we have an invitation for you if you'd like to take it." Geralt began, he scooted Jaskier a bit closer wrapping his arm around his waist.

"An invitation?" Sandor questioned.

"I was informed by Ciri before we came that she and Arya are trying to set us up. She wants the two of you to join our family."

Sandor froze, and then eyed his daughter. Both girls were trying not to stare but they were very aware they were being watched. "You mean you want me to become a part of your family, me and Arya. You.. you would be okay with that?"

"We would, I find you very handsome if I'm being honest." Jaskier smiled, "Geralt and Yennefer will love you too. I hope you know that we are being serious, it isn't a joke. We honestly want you and Arya to join our family."

"I'm glad I came to the museum with Arya today." Sandor remarked. "Honestly... you both want me, what about your wife? Will she be okay? I don't exactly look the b-."

"Your looks will not upset Yennefer, she is kind, and she will adore Arya as if she bore her. So do you accept Sandor Clegane?" Geralt remarked.

"I would love to accept." Sandor said without hesitation. "Really I would."

Geralt smiled, clasping his hand over Sandor's. "Well then welcome to the family Sandor."

Sandor was smiling, and it was a genuine smile. He was nervous but excited, he smiled looking over towards Arya and Ciri who were sharing food from their lunchboxes. "They'll be excited."

"Yes they will be, and we will tell them when we head home. I think it would be great to have you over for dinner tonight."

Sandor took a deep breath, this was the best field trip he had been roped into by Arya yet, and he was thankful he could provide for her, and he was even more thankful that she wanted to be a part of his family.
