~•°☆°•~

Okay okay okay, hey hi hello! It's me!!
Austin- I mean Ashley!!!!!

(I don't know if you're going to catch that joke but either way moving on)

So you know how I like to do things, I overthink and then I put everything in a somewhat organized fashion and hope you understand.

Here are some things we both thought of in quarantine!

Our father and stepfather respectively worked a lot, doing something that involves technology.

There was some type of tree nearby where we lived.

Them meeting our parents

And that's kind of where it ends.
And it's so weird because I can tell your version and my version are similar but different and the main thing that's different about them, well there's many things, but the most noticeable off the bat is father's hair color.

I imagine him with black hair, you imagine him with white hair.

At first in the beginning of a story I thought you switch the colors? Like my mom would have the black hair your dad would have the white hair.
But then I remembered I don't think I ever told you that and just kept it to myself.

Now for the elephant in the room, where they grew up.

Both Kate and Ashley have respective backstories.

Let's start with Kate!

Kate at one point was influenced by villains without knowing, this resulted in a complete relocation.

Okay so this actually works perfectly??

The place I imagine Kate and Ashley growing up together is a private island-

HEAR ME OUT-

Their parents, who I'm going to call Karen and Kevin for a lack of a better name, have really good jobs.

Karen, Ashley's mom, is a retired 'hero'. She, at a young age, got a fortune after saving a city from a tsunami by holding back the wave while everyone was evacuating. She never officially became a hero, she just did a really good thing for no reason. With her money she went to school and became a veterinarian.

Kate and Ashley have very fond memories of animals coming in and out of their house. It's why they both have so much experience despite almost never having any type of animal near them and why Kate is obsessed with cats and is such a good caretaker of them.

Kevin, Kate's dad, is a mechanic. He is a very smart guy. He works on everything from cars to his own technology. He even made these floating cameras, they're basically these orbs that are programmed to follow their person of interest, they can camouflage so it's like they're not even there, and if they don't have any target they just float around their house as security cameras.

Only downside is they make a humming noise so it's kind of easy to know when one is near you. And these things aren't small either so imagine accidentally running into one?

Kate doesn't have to imagine, she has run into many of them.

Overtime having them around the house and just trained their sense of hearing, but doesn't stop them from running into them from time to time but way less than when they were kids.

So a little after Karen and Kevin get engaged they find out about Kate's miss doings after she tells them about it because who else is she going to tell??

Her and Ashley aren't super close up until this point, Ashley is very protective of her mom and doesn't like that there is a new person trying to teach her how to not talk in third person.

"Ashley doesn't have to listen to you!"

The few times Kate ever sees Ashley smile is when she's with her mom.

So because Kevin is a great mechanic and a very smart guy, (I kind of want to say he's quirkless? But I'll let you decide that) and Karen has a lot of money left over after veterinary school and also makes money from taking care of animals when they find out that their daughter could be in big trouble, they waste no time in getting an island and moving they're small family over to keep their children safe.

Now let's segway into Ashley really quick.

Ashley talked in third person when she was little.

The reason she did that was because she had no one but her mom and her mom referred to her as Ashley so Ashley referred to herself as Ashley as well.

When I say no one but her mom I mean it.

She was bullied in school and had trouble mixing in with other kids so she was home-schooled.

Ashley has a problem attaching herself to the people she's isolated with, so the real breakthrough in her and Kate's friendship and eventual sisterhood is when they only had each other on that island.

Kevin was very busy in their garage making things and selling them online, he would be gone for long periods of time not just in the garage but also going out and selling these products. It was worth it since they were making a lot of money and when he was there the girls appreciated him more knowing how little time they get to spend with him.

Their mom on the other hand, (I haven't decided this yet so we can talk about it) was pregnant with their siblings, twin boys.

Meaning Kate and Ashley were left with just each other.

Ashley was very distant with Kate, though she was still a kid and wanted to do kid things and Kate wanted to get to know her new sibling so they started getting along and spent their day usually exploring and playing on the island together.

The island was a beach and a bit of it was jungle. Their house was a nice size and the garage was separated from the house and more in the jungle area, the garage wasn't just for Kevin's mechanic work it was also a place where Karen would care for any animals in the island if they got hurt.

(If they died from their injuries she would tell Kate and Ashley that they got better and went to be with their family, at one point in time Ashley walked into her putting a bird down and she had to explain to Ashley what really happened. Ashley became better at treating wounds because she would help her mom)

They spent a lot of time near the beach shore because of their quirks, it's where you would get the most wind and the shore is the closest to the ocean.

They were obviously homeschooled by Karen, she not only taught them education but she also trained them.

Karen was tough as nails and would encourage her kids to use their full force with her when they would spar.

Karen's quirk was basically being a waterbender. So it was much easier to train with Ashley who had a similar quirk just on a different scale, Ashley could control anything that's a liquid and run it through the water cycle.

With Kate it wasn't as hard as she expected, Karen was able to show both of them similar techniques with Tai Chi, a way to calm down while using their quirks, though it still was a challenge.

Kate spent a lot of time in her father's part of the garage to work with and on machines that would maybe help, she became a lot more informed on mechanical stuff and how to operate and improve her father's works when he was away.

Now we're coming into I'm not completely sure territory

One of those machines that Kate worked on was Ashley.

When they were little they climbed a tree, they were in the more jungle part of the island and kept teasing each other about it. They climbed and climbed until they made it to the top.

When they got there it was kind of a blur and Ashley doesn't remember much, all she remembers is suddenly she was falling and Kate was looking at her terrified. She hit the ground, hard.

The last thing she heard was Kate calling for their parents.

When she woke up she felt heavier and everything looked different.

The basics is she died and their father and stepfather respectively put her back together. Literally.

Remember those orb cameras I talked about away earlier? Yeah he used the videos as sergeant memories so she was basically the same Ashley just way more.. robotic.

But again I'm not super sure? And this has no effect on the story, it's just a thing that happens. She doesn't have lasers or anything, it's just a way to explain why she's so emotionless?

I'm making this to make sense of everything that we put together and fill in holes, it would be a crime to leave out when I did this.

But anyway whether that happened or not, I'm considering it not ever happening?

So Android Ashley aside, while we are on things I'm not completely sure let's bring up the mom's pregnancy with their twin brothers-

This could also be brushed aside completely. It's really just to explain why Kate and Ashley are so motherly sometimes, if no one else could do it they probably could be Class 1A's moms.

And last thing, Ashley's favorite Pro Hero is Hawks, Hawks is a family friend thanks to their father and at one point he saved her from being kidnapped when they were at a park, this was way before Kate ever mingled with villains.

Now onto things I'm way more sure of.

Kate and Ashley can I say without a doubt the day they became sisters without the 'step' in front of it was the night Kate declared her want to be a Pro Hero.

This could honestly be a chapter on its own, the basics of it is Ashley was telling Kate how she didn't know what she wanted to do with her life, how she would probably spend all of it clinging to her mom. She told Kate how much she really liked painting but since she did it with her quirk it didn't feel deserved.

Kate told Ashley that she wanted to become a pro hero like the ones they would see on TV. She wanted to save people, to keep them from getting into trouble like she did when she was younger.

By the end of the conversation Ashley was crying and promised she would make Kate the number one hero even if it's the last thing she did.

And that's when they got to UA. Ashley was initially supposed to be in class 1B but someone dropped out of 1A and she got to take their spot.

I like to think that this person was a boy so she had to wear a male uniform for like a month until they got her a female one.

This is where they design their hero outfits, this is where they decided their hero names.

Whirlwind and QuickWaters

I decided Ashley's hero outfit was a sweater/white hoodie and under that she had a belt that held a bunch of water bottles? She wears black tights, she has black shorts to go over the tights just for extra coverage, and flat boots. She considered wearing heeled boots but not only was it too girly for her it would be harder to run. The reason she even considered it was so she could look taller.

Despite being there with their own respective agendas they made friends with their classmates, Ashley becoming more than friends with one of them.

Kate on the other hand continuously runs into a fluffy haired guy at a cat cafe after school.

And that's where we're all caught up. I'm going to ignore how at one point Kate was with Deku and Ashley was going back and forth between Bakugou and Todoroki. Because that's more of an 'us' problem than their problem.

I'd like to hear your ideas and what you think about this-

I'm pretty set on staying with Sero, I think him and Ashley are very cute.
