Ashley's P.O.V

I relaxed on the couch has I quietly read my book. It was so peaceful and quiet that it felt like a dream. It was so surreal that every once in a while I'd look around or behind me to make sure Kate wasn't planning to do something.

There was even times where I glanced at my phone or at the TV quietly playing in the background to see if anyone was calling me or a news report about a villain interrupting the show that was on.

But nope. Everytime nothing. And the last call I got was from Shoto wishing me a good-night, which he did all the time. Every night 10:30 p.m. without fail.

Bakugou would also usually send me a good night text. Nothing romanci it's just something us friends do.

Though currently we are having a slight argument, he said Kate could kick Deku's ass if they were to fight and I had to correct him since Kate would get knock back into 10 yards of concrete the moment Deku punches her. The last thing I said to him was to take his thumb out of his ass, put it in his mouth and stick it back in.

With one last final look around the room and confirming that Kate definitely went to sleep, I continued to enjoy my book.

The book I was reading was called 'Only A Fool Would' it was about this guy, Finnegan, and what appears to be his normal life until this young redheaded bitch walks in it.

Her name was Mary. Her dad was a mob boss and she was the princess in all of it. So many guys wanted her dad dead and she needed someone else to call daddy. Who better than a bakerboy with a hot brother and parents who have one foot in the grave meaning life insurance?

At this point of this 3 book series, which is nearing its end, Mary has already slept with Joshua, Finnegan's brother, multiple times and shares the same want in getting the parents 6ft under sooner than later. And Finnegan, bless his soul, was ready to call Mary his wife.

It was a really interesting part since the night Finnegan was planning to propose was the same night Joshua was going to poison their mom and dad and Mary was going to break up with Finnegan.

I was at the edge of my seat as the point of views kept switching from Joshua putting the pills in the dinner he was making for their mom and dad and Finnegan getting ready to pull out the ring box from his pocket.

I felt myself leaning closer as a describes the mom taking the first bite of her food.

I gripped the book just a little tighter as Finnegan and Mary walk back to Mary's apartment.

Finnegan's p.o.v

Just as we got to her door I tighten my hold on the ring box in my pocket.

"Um.. Mary..?"

"What?"

She turned and looked at me. I couldn't help but admire her violet eyes as they seemed to shimmer in the moonlight.

Her gaze of uninterest made me feel so bad for taking time away from her relaxing and getting sleep.

If I didn't ask now I'd never get another chance.

I slowly pulled the ring box out of my pocket.

"M-Mary.. will you-?"

BANG!

My eyes widen as I hear a gunshot, soon followed by multiple. Turning around,I saw it was a car aiming to shoot Mary and I.

A drive-by..

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Quickly I jump in front of Mary to protect her. I felt multiple spots open on my body and start to gush blood. It stopped just as I heard a sound of a speeding car driving away.

Ashley's P.O.V

I smiled. Finally, it took those idiots long enough to realize that if they want to get to her dad they have to get to her first.

I felt my smile slowly disappear as I continued reading...

No...

I reread the same paragraph over and over again...

Finnegan..

No, he wouldn't- he wouldn't... he would.. he fucking would.

Tears slowly started to creep out of the corners of my eyes as the point of views shifted and the book went into detail about how their mom started to gag and choke just before the dad was able to take a other bite of his food.

Joshua described the pain he felt as he watched his dad stare at the love of his life in horror just before having the same reaction as foam come out of his mouth and began to gag and choke even falling out of this chair.

Joshua describe the pain in his heart only lasting a second before smirk formed.

All he has to do is go upstairs for a little while and then come back down and call the cops.

And then collecting all of the life insurance and paying those guys for taking care of Mary and Finnegan.

My eyes were the size of saucers at that point. This entire time I thought it was the gang that was going against Mary's dad in the second book but nope!

It was Joshua. It was always Joshua! Fucking Joshua!

The worst part to Mary lived!

Finnegan didn't deserve this, all he wanted was Mary to be happy and she was planning to stab him in the back...

"...Finnegan..."

Kate's P.O.V

I jumped out of my bed and ran downstairs as I heard a blood curdling scream.

"FINNEGAN!!!!!!!!"

As I made it down the steps and made a quick right turn into a living room I stopped for a moment and surveyed the room. The only thing out of the ordinary was Ashley, who was face first into a pillow crying her eyes out.

After seeing that there was definitely no threat inside the room I made my way over to her.

"Ash.. are you okay?"

She was wearing her usual nightwear. A gray t-shirt with a a logo of a band no one knew on the front and black night pants.

She continued crying into the pillow beginning to melt from too much emotion.

This was the second time I've ever seen that Ash cry before.. the first time was- that's not important right now.

On the floor was a book that was thrown across the room from where Ashley was.

I read the title and recognized the book as a three-part series Shoto gave her for her birthday. Those books for bigger than dictionaries and it took her six months to finish them, or at least I think she finish them seeing how she's reacting to the 10th last page.

Putting the book down facing upwards so she could keep her place I sat next to her.

"Ash?"

She continued crying. But was way more quiet.

I put my hand on her back to comfort her only for it to start to sink in as she could to melt like ice cream on a hot sidewalk. I quickly retracted my hand and watched as a mix of white, pale, dark and light blue, and gray ooze dripped from my fingers.

I know the white was from her hair and the pale was from her skin. It took me a second to realize that the gray was from her shirt and the dark and light blue was her blood.

Ashley doesn't have normal blood. It's a mixture of water and liquid nitrogen. It's why she's able to melt and reform herself how she wants without any consequences to her physical health.

I heard her stiffel as she lifted her face up from the pillow.

"Finnegan's a dumbass.."

Ashley was still in a bad mood even after going to sleep. At least I think she went to sleep.

I found her in her bed the consistency of a puddle and quickly scooped her up into a jar and got ready for school.

Just as I was about to take flight I realized I couldn't carry a jar and keep my arms out and steady at the same time..

Sighing I quickly put Ashley into my bag after making some room by moving stuff around. With that I jumped and soared to school.

Time skip brought to you by the same stupid sign. And before you say it, no my TV is not tilted.

Seeing as we leave pretty early me and Ashley were the first people inside the classroom. Placing the jar she was in on her desk I took my seat.

A minute or two later everyone started to walk in and we wait for our teacher. Our group or as me and Ashley jokingly calls it the 'OP Crime Stoppers. Saving civilians 24/7 part 2' took their seats it took only a second after greeting me for them to notice Ashley.

"Uh.. so what happened?" Deku asks me with a raised brow.

"Well-"

Long explanation later...

I took a deep breath and glanced at Ashley.

I watched as Shoto picked the jar up. "It's cold.." with that he started to heat the glass up.

Mei looked at Ashley

"So.. how is Finnegan an idiot for protecting the girl he loved? It's not like he knew she was cheating on him"

......

BANG!

Ashley shot out the jar quicker than a bullet. Fully solid and still wearing her pajamas. And somehow not breaking the glass.

Mom was not kidding when she said it was indestructible when she sent in the mail.

"THATS THE THING! HE DID! HIS BROTHER TOLD HIM OUT OF SPITE! AND HE STILL LOVED HER!" With that she fell to her knees crying and began melting again.

"Finnegan!!! Why!?"

I quickly scooped her back into her jar before the teacher came in.

Ten fun facts here.

1. Kate calls her stepmom AKA Ashley's mother, mom. But Ashley still calls Kate's dad AKA her stepdad, Dylan though occasionally calls him pops or old man.

2. Ashley's superhero name is QuickWaters because she's super fast and her power and personality is based off of water.

3. There's been a couple of times where Shoto and that green haired fuck Deku has been on vacation with Kate and Ashley's parents. With them there of course.

4. The summer home or beach house as Ashley refers to it was bought by Kate and Ashley's parents together when they first got married to show their daughters that they were committed to this relationship.

5. The first time Kate has ever seen Ashley cry is a very emotional, very depressing story. Though by the end of it Ashley excitedly tells Kate that even though the world's against her it isn't going to be against Kate and that:

"Bringing home the silver medal won't be as bad if you're bringing home gold! Even if I have to become the top villain around, I'm going to make sure you're the number one hero out there! Starting now!"

And then punches Kate directly in the stomach. That was also the day Ashley accepted Kate as her step-sister.

6. Beach house is on a island that is only accessible by boat or Ashley's/her mom's quirk.

7. Ashley's good at any beach activities you can name. Volleyball? She'll crush you in it. Surfing? Try to keep up. Building sand castles? It isn't her strong suit but she isn't above bringing the tide in a little bit more to mess with her appointments

8. Kate and Ashley have had several run-ins with popular villains but also some least popular villains. There was this one time where a villain threatened to drop a bomb in the middle of the ocean to make a giant tsunami. He did but luckily Ashley was able to hold the wave long enough for Kate and several other heroes to evacuate the city and beach and deal with the evildoer. Ashley was so close to missing the helicopter when she had to run back to it after letting go of the wave.

10. Shoto and Ashley have been engaged for about 7 years currently and the story you just read was a year before he proposed. And even though he's her fiance Ashley still calls him her boyfriend.

16. 'Only A Fool Would' is a fictional story that I made up on the spot as I was writing this. But it's definitely something I would watch as a movie.
