The Resurrection Stone Part 2 ~ George

It was a few days since Teddy had found the stone. He was still debating whether or not he should give it to George. The temptation to use it again to see his parents was almost too much, but he managed to resist ... just.

He was sitting on his bed, wide awake when he finally decided what to do; he had to go see George. The teachers always had a soft spot for him, especially McGonagal since she had known both his parents well. All he had to do was make it look like he had had another nightmare, family was always contacted because his were so extreme and vivid.

Pinching himself really heard, Teddy made his eyes fill with tears, as well as making his hair white, and eyes baby blue. After gently dabbing tap water on his forehead and underarms, he stumbled around in the dark until he reached McGonagall's office. The stone was held tight in a clenched fist.

Thankfully, he knew the password to her office; he was told in case there was ever something important he needed to talk about.

"Fawkes." Teddy said to the Griffin. It instantly started to twist upwards, revealing the staircase. He quietly walked up the staircase and knocked loudly on the door.

It was a few loud knocks later until McGonagall came to the door, looking rather annoyed. That was until she saw a frightened looking Teddy.

"What has happened, are you okay?" McGonagall asked.

Teddy only shook his head, tears forming in his eyes.

"I had another dream." Teddy said, sniffing.

McGonagall gasped a little and ushered him in, making him sit by the fire.

"Would you like me to get Harry or your grandmother for you. It is extremely late, but they'll understand." She asked, kneeling in front of him.

Teddy shook his head. "I want to speak to uncle George."

"Why not Harry?"

"Because Harry doesn't understand the pain as much as George would." Teddy whimpered. "Please?"

Sighing hesitantly, she nodded and raised her wand. A silvery tabby cat shot out the end of her wand a few moments later.

"Please tell George Weasley that Teddy Lupin would like his comfort from a horrible dream. Ask if he could Floo to my office immediately." She said to it. The cat nodded before disappearing through the window.

"Now Teddy, would you like some hot chocolate? It was your fathers favorite comfort drink"

...oOo...

It was only a few minutes until George arrived through the fireplace, looking half asleep and a little confused. When he saw the state Teddy was in, he instantly understood.

"Hello George, how are you?" McGonagall asked when she saw him.

"I'm well, thank you. And yourself?"

"Very well." She replied. "Now Teddy has requested you because of some awful dreams he gets. What usually happens is that you take him back to your house and he can return when he feels up to it."she explained softly. "I hope you feel better, Teddy, I shall see you soon I hope."

"Bye." Teddy said quietly as George put a hand on Teddy's shoulder and guided him to the fire place, Floo Powder in hand.

"George Weasley's Place." He said, throwing the powder into the orange flames. Teddy went through first, keeping up his scared act. It was a few seconds before George appeared, now guiding him to the sofa.

"Teddy, are you alright?" George asked as he sat next to Teddy, who simply shook his head.

"What happened?"

"I told a lie." Teddy said sadly. It was in Teddy's nature to feel horrible when he lied, he had no idea why though.

"What do you mean?" George asked, very confused.

"I didn't have a nightmare, I just wanted to see you."

George sighed heavily. "Teddy, you can't just lie to see me, or anyone else of our family. Whatever it was it can't be that important that it requires disturbing us at this hour."

"But it is!" Teddy cried.

"Really? Now what would be so important?"

Teddy was silent for a few minutes. "I spoke to my parents."

He felt George stiffen beside him, his breathing suddenly becoming heavier.

"But Teddy, their-"

"Dead, I know. But didn't you know there is a way to talk to the dead." Teddy said.

A frown crossed George's aged face as he thought. He didn't have to wait long, Teddy had held out his clenched fist, before opening it to reveal the resurrection stone. George saw it and gasped; that was supposed to have been lost many years ago. With a shaking hand, he picked up the stone and examined it carefully.

"However did you find this?" he asked, voice cracking with sadness.

"In a clearing in the forest. I had a feeling it might be more useful to you." Teddy said, standing up. "I trust you know how to use it." He said before walking out the room. He stayed long enough to hear George say with a shaking voice.

"You okay Freddie ... me too."

I know, I haven't properly updated in like, forever (exams and parents and bullshit that is life). But, the first 28 chapters of Shine Bright Like A Wolfstar have been updated and changed. Some small tweaks but three chapters are completely different. I am working on that and a few unpublished stories that I shall upload once they are finished.

Much love,

-Tea
