The Flower and the Star (Lirius)
Lily crept down the cold stone stairs. Her bare feet where already cold, but she didn't notice. Now in the middle of the common room, she looked around. There was movement in the shadows.
"Sirius? Is that you?" She asked into the darkness
"Your lucky James isn't with me. You look beautiful in the moonlight."
Lily blushed.
"Did he want to come with you? What did you say to him?" She asked
"I told him I was setting up a prank for Snivleus. He wanted to come but I said it was a surprise." Sirius replied
Sirius took Lily's hands in his. She smiled at him sweetly.
"Please stop doing that smile, it drives me crazy." Sirius moaned
"All the more reason to do it." Lily giggled
Sirius let go of one of her hands, and held her by the other. He led her out if the common room and down the stair case.
"Where exactly are we going? Lily asked
"You'll see." Replies Sirius
They twisted and turned through the maze if dark hallways. Some times they had to quickly hide as teachers would be near by. They where nearly outside after about 6 minutes of walking.
'Are we there yet?" Asked Lily, shivering
"Yeah. Close your eyes." He breathed in her ear.
He gently held Lily and guided her to his place. A gentle breeze started to ripped their hair.
"Ok, you can look," Sirius said
Lily opened her eyes. She gasped, it was beautiful. They were at the lake where they usually hung around, but it quieter, there was a clear sky and, no one could see them.
"It beautiful." Lily whispered
Sirius lay down on the grass, resting his head on the tree. Lily lay with him, resting her head in his shoulder.
They lay for hours, just talking and enjoying the view. Lily sat up and looked across the water. A dreamy look crossed her emerald green eyes.
"What's up?" Asked Sirius
"What? Oh nothing, just thinking how beautiful it is here."
"Lily, what's wrong?"
"It's James. He seems a little distant lately. I don't know why." She sighed
"I do," Sirius replied "He was beginning to figure us out. I had an argument with him. Long story short, he doesn't really know what to say to us anymore. And the trust he had with us is slowly disappearing."
Lily sighed, she knew what she was doing was wrong, but she loved Sirius as well. The two of them sat in silence. The first rays of sun light started to skim across the water.
"We'd better go." Lily yawned as she stood
Sirius got up and turned to Lily. He placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Just tell James if you really want to." He said smiling
Lily looked away. Turning back she threw herself into Sirius's arms. They held each other tight. Lily loosened her grip just enough so that they were nose to nose.
"I can't tell him, not yet." She sighed
Sirius looked into her eyes. Leaning forward, his lips brushed her soft lips. She greeted him with a small, teasing kiss. Sirius cupped her face in his hands and kissed her softly. Lily wrapped her arms around Sirius waist.
They stood in each others arms. Making the most if their privacy. Sirius broke away first. The sun reflected in his eyes.
"I love you, Lily Evans." He said lovingly
"I love you to Sirius." Lily replied happily
The sun was almost up when they finally reached the common room. They didn't utter a word on the way up, just enjoyed the silence of their undying love.
