-After the bathroom fight between Harry and Draco-

Draco lay in alone in the empty Hospital Wing. He was disgusted with himself, he lost a duel to Potter. Worst of all, word would spread around school.

"Stupid Potter!" He screamed.

His screamed echoed around the room, but it was also accompanied by soft footsteps. Thinking it was Madam Pomfrey, he quickly shut his eyes pretending to asleep.

"Draco. Draco!" A voice very close to him whispered

He opened his eyes to see another set staring down at him.

"Hermione!? What are you doing down here?" He hissed

"Harry told us what happened. I wanted to run straight here but Ron and Harry wouldn't leave the common room." She replied

"At least your here." Draco said, smiling

Hermione stroked his cheek, her eyes filling with tears.

"What's wrong?" Draco asked

"I was afraid I lost you." Replied hermione

"You'll never lose me."

Draco shuffled along the bed so Hermione could lie next to him. Wrapping his arm around her, Hermione smiled. She would always be safe in his arms.

"What did Harry tell you." Draco asked, breaking the silence.

"Only that you were crying, Moaning Myrtle was trying to comfort you, you saw Harry and you started dueling. You got hit by a spell he had never used before. Then Snape came in, stopped the bleeding and then took you here." Explained Hermione

"That's everything then."

"If you were upset, why didn't you come talk to me?" Asked hermione.

"Do you know how weird that would look, I'm meant to hate you. And I can't tell anyone, no one can help me." He whispered

A dreamy look flickered in Draco's eyes and hermione knew he wasn't going to say anymore about it. Hermione lifted her head to face Draco's again.

He looked down and smiled. Leaning down, their lips met. Their lips stayed together for a while. The peaceful night leaving then alone.

"Draco, I need-" someone said as the big doors into the Hospital Wing opened

Draco and Hermione leaped apart. Snape just walked through the door.

"Draco?" Asked Snape

"Go, I'll talk to you later." Whispered Draco

Hermione kissed him again before running past Snape and into the darkness.

"Don't. Say. Anything Draco warned

"Draco you realize that if your father-" Snape began.

He won't."

"Maybe, but if he does. You will be in so much trouble with him, and the Dark Lord. You'll be killed!" Exclaimed Snape

Draco looked into the darkness in which Hermione had disappeared into.

"She's worth it." He said, a big smile grew across his pale face.
