Can we stop bullying Rose and understand the fact that you need to be a shitty person at first to have some positive character development?

AND SHE WASN'T THAT SHITTY EITHER! She left Spinel to go save Earth, I understand that Spinel was hurt and it was really wrong of Rose. But Rose had much more duties than spending time with a gem who wants love and attention. Spinel was incredibly clingy, she wouldn't even leave Steven alone! It wasn't until she turned evil that she stopped being so attached and annoying. I love Spinel but I could understand what Rose was coming from.

This probably isn't it, but I like to think of it this way. Rose was going to go become the savior of our Earth, Spinel was supposedly her best friend. Spinel was also a follower of the diamonds, don't you think it would be a problem to bring an obedient (sort of)slave to come with you to save a planet your leaders were going to hurt. Yes she was meant to stay with Rose and fit Rose, but she still was basically a more of a slave than a friend. Rose wanted to be free, Spinel couldn't help with that.

Plus, why would you want to put such a innocent, happy, goofy person through war? It's not healthy for such a pure person to be put through trauma. All of the gems have PTSD, Spinel being put through that would destroy my heart and everyone else's, I think Rose simply believed Spinel couldn't handle such an experience.

Could Rose have done better? HELL YEAH!

I'm not saying Rose was the best but she sure wasn't the worst. Rose was a bitch, but once that development kicked in. Rose loved her friends, Rose took care of the people around her, Rose willingly died to let Steven into this world, ROSE SAVED THE DAMN EARTH. Before she was nothing but an angsty teen wanting to see the Universe.

Do we not remember this?

Now my points could be VERY wrong. But remember this video. Rose might have left Spinel and made some bad mistakes in the past, but as she developed, as she was taught by the humans. She loved. She cared. She defended. She saved. She cherished. She learned.

She sacrificed herself to put life into the world.

She was Rose Quartz. Maybe she started off bad, but she sure as hell ended perfectly.

Yes, she left a lot for Steven to deal with. But she trusted Greg and the Gems to help him along with way. She did her part. She would've never left in the first place if she knew none of them could handle it.

Spinel is just one person, and I love Spinel. But that one part of Rose's life does not mean everything.

I will always love and appreciate Rose Quartz.
