Unexpected Reunion Epilogue
You slipped into Michael and Gina's hotel suite quietly. "About time you came back. We have to talk about this," Gina's voice said, not realizing it wasn't Michael who had walked in the door. You followed the sound of her voice into the bedroom of the suite. "The only thing there is to talk about, Gina, is that you don't mess with the Peaky fuckin' Blinders." She whipped around to face you, eyes widening in shock as she saw the gun you held in your hand.
"What the hell are you doing here?!" she snapped. "I'm here on Michael's behalf." She let out an unattractive snort. "You don't have it in you. You aren't a Peaky Blinder. You aren't one of them, are you? You're nothing. No one. You kill me and they'll let you go to prison. They'll let you hang." You raised a brow. You wanted to laugh. She really thought she was going to get under your skin this time?
"See, that's where you're wrong. But this? This isn't about me, Gina. This is about you. This is about you poisoning Michael against his family." You raised your arm, pointing the gun at her. Without giving her a chance to argue, you pulled the trigger, flinching slightly when she went down. Then? You got the hell out of there. You knew someone would have heard that and you weren't going to stick around.
You raced through the dark alleys, hiding in the shadows when anyone came to near. When you finally made it back to Ada's house, you slipped in. You let out a sigh of relief, but jumped when you saw the Blinders all waiting for you. They were all staring at you, except Michael who was nowhere to be seen.
"Well?" Arthur asked as Tommy's blue eyes bore into yours. You nodded. "It's done. No one saw me." You glanced down at your hands and realized they had started to shake. Tommy came close and placed a hand on your shoulder. "It's alright. You did well. We'll take it from here. Michael's upstairs with Y/D/N." One-by-one, the Shelby family left the house, leaving Ada to return to bed and you to wander up to your own room where you found Michael, just as Tommy had said.
You paused in the doorway and watched the two of them. Michael held his child in his arms, bouncing her lightly and singing softly. You couldn't help but smile. He didn't notice you right away and began talking to the infant. "I really fu-I shouldn't say that. Your mother would kill me. I really screwed things up with your her, Y/D/N, but I swear, I'll be the best father to you. Your mother will never forgive me, but as long as I can see you, we'll be okay."
You decided now was the best time to interrupt. "I wouldn't say 'never', Michael." He whipped his head around to look at you and you continued, "I'm hurt, but I loved you. And you're part of my life forever now. I can't forgive you yet, but maybe someday. Of course, you are always welcome to see your daughter." Michael smiled at you a bit.
"Thank you, Y/N. You are the best of women. I will spend the rest of my life begging for your forgiveness if I must." You slowly approached the two and shook your head fondly. Michael placed the little girl back in her cradle. You stepped up next to him and the two of you glanced down at your sleeping child. Without even realizing it, you leaned into Michael's side. His arm slowly snaked around your waist. You hummed a little. No matter what happened next, you would remember this moment, in your little bubble, forever.
