Soft (Felix Volturi x reader)
Felix was a beast. Truly he was. He was massive, fast, and strong. There was absolutely no one or nothing that could match him when it came to brute strength. He was one of the Elite Guard for a reason. He was stoic when necessary, which was most of the time, but there was one person who could break through that tough outer shell.
You were almost the opposite of Felix. You, of course, were strong and fast. You were a vampire after all, fresh out of the that terrible newborn year. But you were smaller than Felix and much more cheerful. You couldn't help but show your emotions, even if you tried. The only except was when you were needed in court alongside Felix.
From the moment you were created, you knew there was something or someone missing in your new existence. You went search for it, but it wasn't until you made your way to Italy that you finally found it. You had heard of the Volturi, of course, so you hunted just outside the city of Volterra. You didn't want to end up on their radar your first day. Too bad luck wasn't with you that day. Or maybe it wasn't so bad.
Felix had been out feeding as well and happened to run into you. When your eyes met, you instantly knew he was who you had been looking for. The distinct pull absolutely could not be ignored. Without either of you saying a single word, you knew who he was to you. Mate. The word echoed in your mind and from the way his eyes softened slightly, it was the same for him. That was beginning of something wonderful.
After that night, you had been inseparable. You didn't have any unique abilities for you to be part of the Elite Guard, but because you were Felix's mate, you allowed to stay in Volterra with him. You spent every available second together. Like now, he had finally finished training and you bounded over, jumping on his back.
"I missed you," you whispered in his ear. Felix chuckled slightly and replied, "We've only been apart for two hours, tesoro." He felt you shrug against his back. "So?" He laughed again before grabbing your arms and swinging you down to the floor. You landed with a thud and glared playfully at your mate.
Before you could protest, however, Felix was hovering over you, his face centimeters from yours. "Hmmm...I think I like you in this position." If you could have blushed, you would have. "You perv," you grumbled, but smiled anyway. You wrapped your legs around him and flipped you both over. "I like this better," you said.
"Could the two of you please move this out of the training room?" Demetri asked with a sigh. You nearly jumped. Whenever you and Felix were sharing intimate moments, you often forgot there were other people around. Poor Demetri often walked in on those moments. "Sorry, Dem," you apologized, earning a glare. He hated the nickname. You jumped up and Felix followed. The two of you sped away to your shared bedroom.
Once inside, Felix pulled you to his chest. You cuddled up to him with a sigh. Felix's arms tightened around you. He loved moments like this with you. He didn't have to be the strong, mostly silent, executioner for the Volturi. He didn't have to be part of the Elite Guard. He could just be Felix, your mate.
He would never admit it out loud, but Felix liked that you made him soft. He loved that he could tell you anything and you would never judge him. You would still love him and be there with him. You didn't try to change him or "fix" him. You loved him for who he was. Because of that, Felix had no issues showing you that he wasn't always such a brute.
"I love you, Felix," you said softly. "Ti amo, Y/N," he said back, "And if you tell anyone I said this, I will deny it, but you are truly the greatest thing to ever happen to me." You beamed up at him. "You're such a softie." Felix leaned down and kissed your nose. "Only for you, il mio cuore."
