Alright, so I just got back from the movie with my pal Shipsrlife2 and let me tell you, it exceeded my expectations and is probably one of my top favorite Marvel Movies of all time. It had a perfect blend of action and humor and made for a great expreience. I'll just put basic thoughts down, else I'd be telling the plot when you can just Wikipedia it.

First off, despite what marketing suggested, Veers and Carol/Captain Marvel are the same person, Veers is just her Kree name (a shortening of "DanVERS," her last name, based on the broken dog tag recovered by the Kree before they took her away and brainwashed her). The Pop figures made me think otherwise. Just a clear up for ya.

Also, you can throw away your theories about the Skrulls being the bad guys in Endgame. The Kree are actually way worse (I got suspicious after I saw them communing with Ronan) and I respect Carol for helping the Skrulls. They just want to be safe and raise their families. Expectation subversion at it's best.

Theory: The Kree will fight with Thanos in Endgame to get revenge on Carol (and, if my memory serves me right, Ronan was in league with the grape in GOTG, right?).

Sidenote: I think Talos was my favorite character, Carol and Goose the cat being very close seconds. He has a wife and son and it made me feel warm inside when I saw them interacting. Also he's f*cking hilarious.

The Marvel intro... Oof, that was awesome, a compilation of Stan Lee's cameos over the years instead of images of our heroes (although, being honest, Stan the Man is a hero) along with a "Thank You Stan" message after. I couldn't help but give a salute. Also his cameo in this one was cute, a passenger on the LA train that Carol smiles at after they make eye contact when he's reading the paper.

Also, yes, Goose is part demogorgon with mouth tentacles and is the one to scratch out Fury's eye. Expected, but awesome. Also, Goose eats the Tesseract to the surprise of everyone.

I turned to my friend and said "Somewhere, Loki is quacking."

But seriously, the Kree are blue skinned and want the cube, they're obviously distantly related.

Analysis thought: Carol recovers the Tesseract and gives it to Fury (through his new pet cat, Goose) for safe keeping. So technically, she is a little to blame for the Battle of New York (coincidentally, the first assemblage of the Avengers, the team named after her pilot nickname).

Lots of 90s references, references to past movies (ex. Project P.E.G.A.S.U.S.), also yeah, I kinda ship Carol and Maria (her pilot friend). They hugged and I just go "SHIIIIPPPP!!!" in my head, and have a great relationship, don't @ me.

Favorite line: "I'll give you 50 bucks if you turn into a Venus Flytrap." - Nick Fury, 2019.

^Context: Carol, Nick, Maria, Goose, and Talos are in a modified ship and are discussing Skrull shapeshifting abilities, even asking if they can turn into a file cabinet, before Nick asks Talos this^.

Mid Credit Scene: HYPEEE! Carol arrives at Avengers HQ and asks about Fury. Then my friend and I were like "We are not ready for April, we are NOT gonna survive Endgame."

Cause if we got scared that Talos MIGHT have died (he didn't, thank f*ck), how about characters that have been built for years, not just one movie?

Post Credit Scene: Goose barfs up the Tesseract on Fury's desk. Not super relevant, but so freaking funny.

That's all I'll say for now, if you want to know more, Wikipedia the plot.

(Also Carol TOTALLY deserved the right to flip off the Kree space army at the end there).

10/10 Awesome movie.
