3rd POV
Steven and Shadow were talking while they were waiting for the others to return from a mission. "Hey Shadow,why haven't I ever seen you fuse with the other Crystal Gems?" Steven questioned his Sapphire friend. She froze after hearing the question,her face pailing. It was about time she told him. But she decided to wait until the Crystal Gems get back.

Once the crystal gems returned,Shadow started to explain.

Flashback

Thousands of years ago when Shadow lived on homeworld,she met a gem named Green Jade. They got to know eachother and ended up falling in love.

After the war they ran away,along with a pearl. The pearl was Shadow's best friend,who also loved the planet earth. You see,much like Garnet,the two fused and loved to be fused. So they spent as much time as they could as Green Sapphire. (Pisture at the top.)

They loved eachother deeply,and they both knew it,but Jade got jello use very easily.

"Hello Pearl" Green Sapphire greeted their friend. "Heyya Greenie!" The Pearl replied happily,using the nickname for her friend,causing the fusion to giggle. "How are you this fine morning?" She questioned the violet haired jem.

(By the way,this is what the pearl looks like ^)

Later that night they infused as they do every so often. Shadow went to talk with her pearl friend. They chatted for hours and hours while Jade impatiently waited for her girlfriend to return. As the two were talking Jade started thinking about how mush time Shadow spent with the Pearl,and how they talked a lot even when they were Green Sapphire. As Jade thought more about the supject,she became incredibly jello use of the two,and started to grow a hatred for the Pearl.

A few days later while Jade and Shadow were fused,they got into a fight about how much time Shadow spent with the Pearl. Out of anger,they infused and Shadow went on a walk to clear their head.

While Shadow was on her walk Jade decided to confront the friendly optimistic Pearl. "Heyya Jade!" The Pearl greeted happily,making Jade fume in anger. "Shut up" Jade mumbled. "Why? What happened?" The Pearl questioned tilting her head. "I said,SHUT UP!" Jade screamed punching a whole in the wall,making the pearl jump. "W-What's wrong Jade?" She questioned worriedly. "You know what's wrong! And it's all your fault!" Jade yelled stepping towards her. "What do you mean?" The Pearl questioned shakily. "You love her,don't you!?" "Wh-What?" "You heard me!" By now Jade was standing right infront of her. "You love Shadow,don't you!?" Jade didn't give her time to answer before shouting "I won't let you take her away from me!" And pulling out her weapon,making the gem back up. "J-Jade please,me an-and Shadow are just f-friends!" The Pearl begged. "You love her! But she loves me! She's mine!" The Jade screamed before striking the gem a few times. After one last strike,the pearl shattered. Jade laughed crazily before saying "she's mine."

Shadow entered the room with her eyes closed saying "look,Jade,I'm so-" She stopped seeing her girlfriend standing over the shattered pearl. Tears stared to fall from her eyes as she stared in horror. "W-What did you do!?" She said barily above a whisper,afraid of the answer. "She was trying to take you away from me." Jade answer smiling at her girlfriend. Shadow fell to her knees sobbing. "Don't worry,we can be together now!" Jade smiled walking towards her. "Stay away from me!" Shadow shouted in fear,trying to back away. "You.cant.leave.me." Jade growled pulling Shadow up to her and hugging her tightly. She forced them to fuse. Jade was much stronger than Shadow,so there was nothing she could do about it.

Flashback end

"For awhile I tried to be nice,tried to get the old Jade back,but I couldn't.....she was gone." Shadow sighed. Steven was sitting there in tears along with pearl,Amethyst was on the verge of tears. And Garnet looked at her,ready for her to continue. "If I just wanted to go on a walk alone,she wouldn't let me. She would still let us eat,considering I do have human needs,but she wouldn't let us unfuse." She continued tears pouring down her face. "But one day,she left me in our house saying she had some 'businesses' to attend to,and I saw a Ruby,and a Sapphire fuse. They looked so...happy together.  I wanted to know if it was real,so I ran,and I met them and there friends. And it turns out,they really do love eachother." She finished smiling at Garnet. Garnet gave her a sad smile in return.

"I'm,I'm so sorry Shadow,I'm had no idea." Pearl said. Steven hugged Shadow tightly. "Where's Green Jade now?" Amethyst asked trying to hide her worry. "I'm don't know,I'm haven't seen her since." Shadow replied. "Can I speak with you alone for a moment Shadow?" Garnet questioned earning a nod in reply. They walked into the bathroom. "Shadow,I'm sorry you had to go through that." Garnet said sypatheticly. "Well,hey,if that didn't happen,I never would have met you guys" She smiled up at her. Garnet gave her a hug. "Don't worry,We won't let Jade come near you again" Garnet comforted. Shadow smiled and hugged he back before they left and re-joined their friends for some lunch.
