[Knuxouge and Sonadow warning]

*Knuckles' POV*

"Come on, Knuckles!" Amy dragged me into Sonic's house.

"I don't see why I have to leave the Master Emerald just to come to Sonic's Christmas party." I rolled my eyes as we walked inside. Surprisingly, everybody was there, even Shadow, though he is just leaning on the wall, his eyes closed. It is his first Christmas on Earth.

His eyes shot open when Sonic kissed him quickly. "What was that for, faker?"

"Mistletoe." Sonic said pointing to a small piece of greenery hanging.

"Mistletoe?" Shadow wondered looking at the plant.

"Oh, right, you don't know what that means. You see, when two people are under a mistletoe, they have to kiss." Sonic explained.

Just then, a bunch of girls crowded around the house, each holding mistletoe. They were shouting Shadow's name.

Fangirls...

"SHADOW!" Yelled a voice that we all knew.

Shadow rolled his eyes. "Author, what do you want?"

"I have mistletoe!" She said in a singsong voice.

"Shouldn't you be writing a book?" I asked. This girl really annoyed me. (You better watch what you say, Knuckles!)

"Shoot!" She said. "Uh... how about later, Shadow?"

"Not going to happen." Shadow crossed his arms and glared at her.

"I know you love me, Shadow the Hedgehog!" She yelled as the fangirls carried her away.

"Idiotic fangirls." Shadow mumbled.

"They're even worse than Amy." Sonic said. "One even broke my arm just because I was standing near you!"

"Yeah, but what they don't know, is that my heart has already been stolen." Shadow said as he wrapped an arm around Sonic. "And the stubborn hedgehog who took it won't give it back."

Sonic rolled his eyes, but a smile escaped his lips. "Nope. Not ever giving it back. You're mine, Shadow." (I can't decide if that was cheesy or just plain right cute! Probably both...)

It was always awkward when Shadow and Sonic started mentioning their love. They shared one last kiss under the mistletoe before Sonic left to get the food.

There is one girl that I've been wanting to kiss under the mistletoe, but I seriously doubt she'd want the same. Speaking of her...

"Hello huns!" Rouge said sweetly as she walked it. "Those fangirls sure are obsessed. How do you handle them, Shadow?"

Shadow shrugs. "I really don't know myself. There's way too many of them, that's for sure."

Rouge straightened her new Christmas dress. It was velvet red and reached to her knees where she wore green leggings. To everybody else, she looks cute in it, but in my eyes, she looked so pretty in anything she wears...

"Hey, Knuckie, glad you could make it." The white bat walked over to me. "I thought you were going to stay guarding that presious emerald of yours."

'You're more precious to me than the Master Emerald.' I thought, but didn't dare say it.

Instead, I said, "Well, it is Christmas..."

She smiled at me. She is so beautiful. I don't know why I've fallen for her, I can't trust her, but I just have.

"Food is ready! Finally!" Sonic cheered, causing us all to roll our eyes.

After we all ate, it was time for the secret Santa gift exchange. They made me go first and I handed Shadow the gun that I bought him.

He smirked as he pointed it at the wall.

"Shadow, don't you dare shoot that in my house!" Sonic warned, but was too late. Shadow already shot some bullets to create a heart on Sonic's wall.

Sonic sighed. "If it wasn't a heart, I would probably yell at you."

Shadow rolled his eyes and handed Rouge a magenta coat.

"It's the coat I've been wanting!" Rouge cheered as she took it. Then she looked at me.

She handed me a small box and I took it. I opened it and there sat a small piece of greenery.

Mistletoe...

I looked at her and grinned, my shyness disappearing. I held it over our heads, and kissed her. She kissed back as everybody cheered.

Best Christmas present ever.
