[Mephiles' POV]

I stared from the darkness of the shadows. The couple sat in the sunlight, happily sharing a sandwich in which I did not know the contents of. I frowned as they shared a short but loving kiss.

I guess you could say that I'm jealous... not of the boy... I'm jealous of the girl...

I'm jealous of Blaze the Cat... because she has the one I love...

Silver the Hedgehog...

I can't deny my love for the albino hegehog any longer... he thinks of me as an enemy... he probably doesn't even know that I'm still alive... I doubt he cares anyway...

So I just watched as they smiled, laughed, and kissed...

I wish I had a mouth...

Maybe then people could see my smile, my frowns... maybe then I could kiss the lips of the one I love... a pationate kiss... leading to more...

I stopped myself before I went any further in my daydream. They have gotten worse... though I wish they could come true...

I saw him pick up Blaze, bridal style, and walked past me. Blaze giggled, telling him to stop and that she could walk herself home. Silver frowned, but agreed, and they shared one last kiss before she ran off.

Almost instantly, he faced me and said, "Stop following me! You're suppose to be dead!"

My eyes widened as I stepped out of my hiding place. "How did you know I was here?"

"I saw you staring at us." He replied, his eyes never leaving me. "I won't let you hurt her or any of my friends!"

"I'm not going to harm you or any of your friends." I said simply, arms crossed.

"Then why are you following me?" He asked with curiosity filled eyes.

"That is none of you consern." I said. Suddenly, he looked at my mouthless muzzle.

"What are you looking at!?" I snapped, a light blush covering my cheeks. I felt a bit mad that he was staring there, at my misery that he would possibly never know.

"Y-Your mouth..." he stuttered out. "Y-You have a m-mouth..."

"What?" I gently placed my hand on my muzzle, and I felt a small opening. Silver was right...

I have a mouth...

"H-How..." I trailed off as I looked at Silver. My wish came true...

Possibly just for this...

I placed my newly discovered lips on Silver's, enjoying the shocking pleasure that coursed through my body. It felt like nothing else was around me... just me and Silver. Nothing else mattered...

I pulled away to see a wide eyed Silver.

I smiled lightly. "You want to know why I followed you? Figure it out on your own."

I quickly disappeared before Silver recovered from shock.

The next day, my mouth was gone again, but I didn't mind. I got my wish, and I couldn't stop thinking of it.

I was sitting in the tree from yesterday, watching the same couple. Every so often, Silver would glance at the tree, almost as if he was wanting to go over there. But he stayed with the girl that he said he loved.

I smirked to myself in my mind. Because I knew...

That a wish was in his mind.

To do it all over again.
