Revenge On April Fools
Hunters POV
"Tomorrow you are so going down." I mumble as my sister, Mackenzie and I walk home from school.
"You wish. You're probably too stupid to come up with any real pranks anyway." She replied before going back to texting.
Oh we'll see.
Mackenzie was 17 and of course, was the typical "popular girl" with blonde hair and blue eyes. She was head cheerleader at our school and dated Quarterback, Theodore Johnson who was also the principal's son.
Totally not cliche.
My sister worked as a part time waitress at Chick-fil-A. She claims she's doing it to help out the owner but I know she's just doing it to show off her looks and flirt with hot guys
I can't believe we're related.
I'm completely the opposite...
I'm 15 years old with hazel brown hair, dark brown eyes and I have thick black glasses. I have freckles and I'm pretty short for my age. There's really nothing special about me except for the fact that I'm the Captain of the schools Chess Club. Yeah I know I'm a nerd.
Another interesting fact: I've been single since birth and it doesn't look like that's changing anytime soon either.
Mackenzie and I unlock our front door and enter our mansion. Our butler, Simon bows and takes our bags.
"Afternoon children, how was school?" He asks politely. My sister ignores him and walks upstairs to her room, slamming the door shut.
I mentally scoff, she's so heartless.
"School was okay, how was your day Simon?" I smile as we walk to the kitchen. "Oh it was fine Young Master." He replies happily.
"Hunter you're back! I made your favourite, Cottage Pie!" Our Chef, Candy says loudly. "Thank you Miss Reneê." I beam, taking a bite of the delicious food.
"Just call me Candy dear, and you're welcome." She giggles.
My parents were always on business trips so they hired Candy and Simon to look after us. The couple were both in their late 40's and took care of me better than my own mother and father. They've been part of our family since I was a baby.
"Hey lad, what's that on your back?" Simon frowns as he takes off a note that was taped to my sweater.
I peer over his shoulder and sigh at the words.
Die Freak
"Don't say anything." I whisper just as Simon and Candy were about to say something. They both look at me with pity and concern.
I don't want their pity. I'm used to this.
I leave my plate, completely loosing my appetite and rush upstairs to my room and close the door.
Angry tears sprung to my eyes.
I wasn't just bullied by random kids, I was bullied by my own sister. She and her friends, boyfriend included, would terrorize and physically abuse me at school. They called me terrible names and when I tried to tell the teachers they wouldn't believe me. Not to mention Mackenzie would find out and order her little gang to beat me up.
I don't blame the teachers for not believing me. I mean my sister is perfect in everyone's eyes.
I lay down on my bed and close my eyes, wishing that tomorrow would hurry up and arrive.
*~*
"APRIL FOOL'S YOU LITTLE SHIT!" Shouted a voice. I screamed when freezing cold water was poured on me.
"Mackenzie!" I yelled, shivering and trying not to spill any tears. God knows she'd never stop teasing me if I did.
"Oh sack up dude. Theo is giving me a ride so you're walking alone today. Have fun." She smirks.
I stare at her hair and burst out laughing. She gives me a look of disgust, before strutting out my door.
I get off my soaking wet bed and lazily walk to my bathroom but not before hearing my sister scream. I chuckle to myself.
I woke up at 3am to cut out some fake bugs and stuck it to her lamp. She must have turned it on and thought it was real.
I also put food colouring in her shampoo and conditioner. I wanted to add hair removal too but I figured that was a little to evil.
Still, she's gonna kill me when she looks in the mirror.
"HUNTER I'M GOING TO MURDER YOU!!!!"
I quickly run into my bathroom and lock the door. She deserves it.
After changing and making sure there weren't any prank surprises anywhere, I made my way downstairs with my backpack slung on my shoulder.
I grabbed an apple and said goodbye to Candy and Simon and walked out the front door.
I caught a glimpse of Mackenzie getting into her boyfriend's car with a beanie to try and cover up her green hair.
I wheezed.
I ran across the road before either of them could spot me. I did not want to die.
Today classes dragged by slower than usual. It was chaos because of all the pranks and jokes going around.
Someone even put lizards in the dance teachers tap shoes.
It was now lunch break. I had successfully dodged all the bullies and was sitting on my own waiting for my best friend Anthony to show up.
"Hey Hunt, I bought you some chicken nuggets from Macdonald's." He grinned as he sat down across from me.
I stared at the box. I'm not stupid.
I rolled my eyes and opened it, expecting a fake snake to pop out or maybe paint.
"Seriously Ant, vegetables in a box of chicken nuggets. You're evil." I sniffled, wiping my fake tears and throwing the box under the table.
"Jeez someone's in a mood. I was just having a little fun dude." Anthony huffed, biting into his hamburger.
"You wanna see something fun?" I giggled, pointing to my sister and her friends as they walked through the cafeteria doors. They all sat down. My sister was the last to sit and when she did, a fart noise echoed the whole lunch room.
Laughter exploded.
"You didn't!" Anthony laughed, joining me and the rest of the school as we watched Mackenzie blush in embarrassment.
We locked eyes and she gave me a vicious glare. Theo was about to stand up and come towards me when he saw my teacher, Mr Frederic give him a warning glance.
He sat down quickly after that.
"I'm not done yet." I winked to my best friend and strolled up to the cafeteria lady.
"Hi Cynthia. Can I borrow a tray from the kitchen please?" I pleaded. The 60 year old woman nodded and let me go round back.
The teachers and staff loved me I guess.
I took out the fake candy apples from my bag and placed them one by one on the tray and walked back into the cafeteria. I made my way to my sisters table.
All the people that bully me were seated there.
"S-sorry to bother b-but Mr Frederic said that I h-had to apologize and g-give you these c-cany apples. I h-hope you can forgive m-me for my little p-prank." I fake stuttered.
Theo, Mackenzie and the rest of the group eyed me suspiciously but nonetheless each took one and bit into it.
Their eyes widened and they spat it out, screaming curses and threats at me.
"YOU MOTHER-" Theo started but was cut off by Anthony who pushed me behind him.
"It's just a joke bro and a good one at that. I can't believe Hunter put onions instead of apples! Genius!" My best friend laughed. A few others around the room started cracking up too.
Mackenzie and her friends fumed as we rushed back to our seats before a fight started.
A few minutes later everyone went back to what they were doing, including Mackenzie's group.
"Thanks." I smiled and Anthony responded with a laugh and a cheeky wink.
We listened as Mackenzie started bragging about all the pranks she did so far.
"I put fake rings in all the wine glasses and served them to all the ladies in the restaurant! They all thought their boyfriends had proposed to them and started crying whilst saying "Yes of course I'll marry you!" The men were so confused it was so funny!" My sister cackled.
Her friends burst out laughing and started high fiving her.
"God she's evil" My best friend gagged. I nodded in agreement.
"Guys I'm going to the bathroom I'll be right back." Mackenzie stated as she stood up. Theo quickly grabbed her hand and smashed their faces together.
This was my chance!
I speeded to the girls bathroom. I sneaked in whilst Anthony stayed outside to keep watch. We planned this to well.
I took out some POP-ITS and stuck them under the toilet seats in every stall. Luckily it was empty since everyone was still at lunch.
"Squawk squawk!"
That was Anthony's signal
I dashed into a stall and locked the door just as Mackenzie entered. She went in the first stall and locked the door.
Not even seconds later there was a huge pop sound followed by my sisters scream.
I ran out the bathroom and beckoned Anthony to follow me. We zoomed to class just as the bell rang, laughing our heads off.
Now I was in my room staring at myself in the mirror. It was time.
I slid on my clown mask and grabbed my knife.
I was 11pm. I had left a note on Mackenzie's bed.
Dear Kenzie
Meet me at the abandoned bridge at 11:30pm. Let's have some fun baby ;)
-Theo
She was sure to fall right into my trap.
It was a long walk but when I finally made it to the bridge, I saw my sister in a very short black dress with matching heels.
Gross.
"I see you decided to show up." I growled, making my voice really low for effect.
"W-who are you?" My sister asked shakily as she backed up against the bridge.
"I'm someone that's going to kill you." I snapped, stalking forward.
"No please!" She begged, tears falling down her face at a fast pace.
"You deserve it."
"W-wait! J-just let me phone my little brother first. I just want to apologize to him before I go. P-please I love him! I've been so cruel to him just let me fix it!" She cried.
That made me freeze
She loves me?
I took off my mask slowly and watched her gasp.
"H-hunter oh my god." She blurted and brought me into a warm hug. "I'm so so sorry." She choked.
I hugged her back tightly, the knife still in my hand. "I thought you really going to kill me." Mackenzie gulped.
"I would never." I mused.
I looked at my watch. 11:59pm.
"April Fools sis." I whispered as I plunged the knife into her heart.
