Drarry
Third Person's Pov
"You foul, loathsome cockroache!"
"You slimy old git!"
"Honesty those two flirt like three year olds." Hermione Granger muttered under her breath. "Bloody hell, are they just going to ignore their stupid attraction for one another?" Ron Weasley added, watching the scene.
Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy. Two rivals from the very first time they met. Some say it's stupid to be fighting over a simple handshake but the two wizards beg to differ.
"Harry! Come on, we're gonna be late for potions!" Hermione yelled, frustrated.
"In a minute Mione! Malfoy here needs to be taught a lesson! Whaddya say Malfoy, want to turn into a ferret again?" Harry taunted, raising his wand.
"I'd like to see you try Potter." Draco growled, pointing his wand straight at Harry.
Before any spells could be thrown, Professor Mcgonagall came marching up to the two students.
"Mr Malfoy, Mr Potter! What is the meaning of this?! You both are late for classes, off you go right now before I give you both detention!" She snapped, gesturing for them to start walking.
Harry sighed and turned to find his friends but they weren't there, probably already in Potions with Professor Snape.
Draco and Harry walked together to Potions since the Slytherin's and Gryffindor's had joint classes for the rest of the day.
The raven haired boy shuddered, already thinking about the punishment Snape would give him. Obviously Draco would be off the hook since he's part of Slytherin and Snape's favourite.
The two rivals, who had been surprisingly silent the whole walk, knocked and opened the door to the Potions classroom.
"You're late." A voice drawled.
"I apologize professor, I lost track of time and-"
"10 points will be deducted from Gryffindor. Potter, you and Malfoy will be sitting in the back row. Get started on your potions. The instructions are on a parchment placed on the desk." Snape cut the boy off, shooing the two to their place.
Draco and Harry cursed under their breaths. Out of all the people in the class, THEY just had to be partners.
"Okay it doesn't say what potion we're making but here are the ingredient, go get them from the cupboard whilst I get the cauldron ready." Harry ordered, giving the piece of parchment to Malfoy.
"Oh I do love being "The Chosen One's" slave." The blonde haired boy responded sarcastically, snatching the paper and storming off to get the ingredients.
Harry caught him mumble a few words. "Everyone thinks he's so smart. Wonderful Potter with his scar and broomstick."
Harry shook his head in amusement, finding it a bit cute that Malfoy talked to himself.
When the boy came back, he grabbed the spoon from Harry's hand and started mixing.
"What are you doing?" Harry asked stupidly. "Making the potion because we all know if you do it, it'll be a complete disaster." Malfoy replied, matter-of-factly.
In the end, Draco allowed Harry to pour in the ingredients while he stirred. Of course, he watched the boy and made sure he was putting in the right amounts of everything.
Finally they were done.
"Alright I want everyone to smell the potion and write down what they smelt and then say it out loud to the class." Professor Snape instructed.
Harry and Draco looked confused but both leaned in to smell the potion.
"I smell treacle tart, broomstick polish, apples and hair gel?" Harry thought.
"I smell pumpkin juice, broomstick polish and chocolate frogs?" Draco thought.
"Potter! I told you to put the right ingredients, this potion is all wrong!"
"Me? You were the one mixing and telling me what to put in!"
"Well obviously you did something wrong because all I can smell is you!"
"Yeah well your hair gel is so strong that it's stinking up the whole classroom!"
Draco and Harry stopped arguing when they heard the whole class gasp. Even Professor Snape looked surprised.
"Miss Granger, would you care to tell these two fools what potion we were brewing today?" Snape mused, a twinkle of amusement in his eyes.
"Of course Sir. This is Amortentia, the most powerful love potion. It smells like the person we are attracted to. Don't deny it Harry, we all heard you and Malfoy." Hermione said smugly.
The class laughed at Harry and Draco's flushed, panicked faces.
"Class dismissed. Good luck Mr Malfoy and Mr Potter." Snape smirked, gliding out the door with the rest of the class behind him, including a snickering Ron and a smiling Hermione.
Harry and Draco were alone.
"I-um..." Harry spluttered, embarrassed. "So you're attracted to me Scarhead?" Draco teased. "I mean who wouldn't be. Have you looked in the mirror lately?" Harry huffed.
Draco laughed.
Not a fake laugh or a sarcastic one...a real laugh.
Harry felt his heart hammering in his chest. He had always liked Malfoy. He was amusing, gorgeous and everything Harry wanted but he was also an annoying git.
"How long have you liked me for?" Harry asked shyly. "Since 5th year." Draco answered immediately. Harry's eyes widened in shock.
"That long?"
"Well yes, I was attracted to you from the moment we met but you were so goody goody and perfect that I was always frustrated!" Malfoy admitted.
"I thought you hated me..." Harry trailed off.
"Are you kidding? Harry, all that teasing and insulting was just to get your attention. I didn't think you'd want to be my friend so I just started being mean to get some sort of reaction from you. I'm sorry." Draco confessed.
Harry smiled and brought Draco into a tight hug. The blonde stiffened, not used to affection but soon melted into Harry's hold and started hugging him back equally as tight.
Draco pulled away from the hug and leaned down slowly, eyeing Harry's lips. Harry gulped and started blushing.
"Scared Potter?"
"You wish."
And with that, the former ex rivals connected their lips into a passionate kiss, both finally happy to be in each other's arms.
