BNHA Band AU Part 1

The group of four high school boys relax back stage, having already changed out of their U.A. uniforms. Izuku lays his head down on Shouto's arm, his fluffy mop of green hair splaying out over the other boy's arm. Katsuki and Eijirou are chattering quieter than normal, since Katsuki has to save his voice for the concert they were about to put on. The group of teens chatter until a sharp series of knocks booms through the room. Eijirou sits up, his red spiky hair waving and red, glittering eyes stare at the door. An exasperated sigh comes from behind the door. "God dammit, Elementals! Let me in!" Izuku snickers and gets up, shooting to the door in a flash. He opens the door, the green lightning no longer flickering around his body, and Jirou stands there, annoyed.

"Geez, guys. You think we don't even know each other, or that I'm just your manager. Which I'm not," She adds glaring at Katsuki who scowls at her in response. "It's time to start." Shouto nods and stands up, following his boyfriend out the door. Katsuki and Eijirou follow suit, their hands brushing as they walk on stage.

Loud chattering and bright, flashing lights greet the band of boys. Izuku raises a hand and calls out, "Hello, Tokyo!" A silence and then the crowd erupts into cheering. The green-haired boy chuckles and the low crack of explosions resound through the theater. Again, silence falls. Katsuki juts his chin in the air, narrowed red eyes surveying the crowd. Eijirou elbows him, smiling, and waves out to the crowd as his boyfriend finally relaxes. "Lighten up, Kats! It's a concert, not a fight!" Laughter rings out and the blond boy scowls, stalking towards his drum set and electric keyboard. Shouto rolls his eyes, no one but Izuku noticing (who covers a laugh), and the lights go out. A low glow flickers into existence across his left side, then a pair of glowing green eyes and thin streaks of green lightning dancing across Izuku's body join the lights. Small explosions illuminate Katsuki and Eijirou, signaling the beginning of the concert. The Quirk-formed lighting stops and one spotlight snaps on, shining on the dual-hair-colored boy. Shouto takes the mic. "I was a human, breathing and thinking," Eijirou chimes in, singing quietly and a spotlight clicks on. A guitar is held in his hand and he occasionally plucks it. "Eating and drinking," Izuku finishes the verse, also gaining a spotlight, "Philosophizing. I was a human, before you killed me." The two spotlights focused on Eijirou and Shouto die out as Izuku sings himself. "And ripped my heart out, I knew what love was." He closes his eyes and the spotlight shining on him. Green lightning starts to arc and sounds of quiet awe come from the crowd. "Now when they ask me, I just reply slow," his eyes snap open, bright emeralds glowing as he sings. "And sound like an iPhone. I do not know love, I am a robot." Shouto and Eijirou sing in the background, "Ba ba ba ba bam buda bum." Izuku repeats his last lyric and so do the other two, "I used to know love." Izuku's eyes stop glowing and the lighting dies out as he stops singing, a spotlight suddenly shining on Shouto.

His left side bursts into a controlled flame, twisting and shrinking. "'Cause I had a fire! Passion and desire." His flames go out and it starts to lightly snow throughout the theater, loud gasps and very audible awe following it. "Now all I require are circuits and wires. Inside was an ocean, of soul and emotion. Then you cut me open, now all I know is," Izuku seamlessly takes the lead, the spotlight dying and glowing green eyes flicker back. "I am a robot, thoughtless and empty, don't know who sent me, don't know who made me." The arcs of lightning get more dramatic in the next lyric, then dies after it. "Electric robot, everything's gray now. Numb to the pain now, I knew what love was."

Katsuki and Eijirou seamlessly switch, and Shouto takes the lead once more. "Now when they ask me, I just reply slow. Sound like an iPhone, I do not know love, I am a robot." Izuku and Katsuki support him quietly, "Ba ba ba ba bum bada bum." "I do not know love, I am a robot." "Ba ba ba ba bum bada bum." "I do not know love." Katsuki takes the lead, very visible but not super dangerous explosions crackling into existence.

"'Cause I had a fire! Passion and desire, now all I require, are circuits and wires." The explosions stop, the loud noise resulting from them suddenly stopping and the silence almost dazes some of the audience members. "Inside was an ocean, of soul and emotion," his voice is impossibly gentle coming from him, "then you cut me open. Now all I know is," Izuku takes he lead, green lightning only snaking around his eyes. "I am a robot. I am a robot. I used to know love." Shouto finishes the song, the last verse repeating Katsuki's.

His voice fades out, a moment of silence following as the audience takes a moment to drink in the soft ring. Then it erupts into cheers and whistles, cellphone lights blinking as they had been through the concert. The lights slowly turn back on and the whole band stands, grinning. Then Izuku steps forwards with a mic and starts to talk. "Shouto wrote that as a first year before the sports festival, and we never got a chance to perform it until now. As second, almost third-years, I pestered him into letting us sing it and-" his voice is abruptly cut off, ice having covered his mouth and frozen his arm in place. A few murmurs are exchanged through the audience, concerned and confused glances exchanged. That is, until Shouto walks up and calmly plucks the microphone from the emerald eyed boy. "I'll take that, thanks, before you can embarrass me. Anyways, since he pestered and bribed me into performing that song, I made a deal. We'd play his song." Having not been able to get out of the ice normally, Izuku resorts to using One for All, shattering the ice with a quick burst of power. "Shouto!" The annoyed musician and hero exclaims, glaring. The mentioned teen doesn't even bat and eye, and simply states, "Here it is, he calls it, 'You Will Be Found' and he forcing me to-" A lightning covered hand covers his mouth and takes the mic. "Before he spoils the song, and embarrasses me, lets start." Eijirou chuckles. "I'm so doing that to you later," he mutters to Katsuki, who lets off a small explosion on the hardened arm of his boyfriend, raising multiple eyebrows.

(You Will Be Found from Dear Evan Hansen, but with a few things edited.) The lights dim once more and focus on Izuku. Notes ring out from a piano, Shouto behind it as he accompanies his best friend. "Have you ever felt like nobody was there?" Izuku's voice is close to be choked up with emotion, having written this about him and Shouto, remembering from when the only thing keeping the two sane was their frequent meet ups. However, the richness of his voice only adds to the song. "Have you felt forgotten in the middle of nowhere? Have you ever felt like you could disappear?" He rushes the last word, the song already bringing up memories. "Like you could fall, and no one would hear." He pauses, taking in a shaky breath away from the microphone. "Well, let that lonely feeling wash away." The piano part slowly gets louder then drops down. "Maybe there's a reason to believe you'll be okay. 'Cause when you don't feel strong enough to stand. You can reach, reach out your hand." Katsuki had refused to participate in the song, as he knew he was part of the reason it had been written. And not in a good way. So he simply sits in the corner, watching, as tears streak down Izuku's face.

A shaky smile blossoms on the young man's face, the piano getting more important. "And oh, someone will coming running. And I know," he drags out all the o sounds, Shouto gently playing the piano as he waits for his cue to start singing and let Eijirou take over. "They'll take you home." He pauses, happiness filtering through, remembering days of laughter with his real childhood friend, Shouto. "Even when the dark comes crashing though, when you need a friend to carry you, and when you're broken on the ground, you will be found." He pauses again and Shouto slides away from the piano and Eijirou takes the piano. Izuku continues as Shouto gets another microphone. "So let the sun come streaming in! 'Cause you'll reach up and you'll rise again! Lift your head and look around. You will be found." Izuku repeats the last four words four more times. Then another spotlight clicks on.

Beautiful words blossom on stage from the candy-cane colored hair boy's mouth and Eijirou starts playing the drums, having darted across the stage and snatched the sticks. "There's a place where we don't have to feel unknown! And every time that you call out, you're a little less alone." Eijirou chimes in as he plays, "If you only say the word," Shouto and Eijirou both sing, "From across the silence, your voice is heard. Ahhh ah. Ahhh ah. Ahhh ah ah. Ahhh ah ahh! Someone will come running! Ahhh ahh." As they sing, some people are furiously posing and talking aloud.

The crowd finally quiets enough to hear the singers. "Ahhh ah. Ahhh ah. Someone will come running. Ahh, ah. Ahh, ah. Someone will come running. To take you home!" Eijirou echoes Shouto, and then when they get to the next verse, the entire crowd starts singing. Izuku and Shouto and Eijirou's are still prominent however, amidst the chorusing crowd.

"Even when the dark comes crashing though, when you need a friend to carry you. When you're broken on the ground, you will be found. So let the sun come streaming in! Cause you'll reach up and you'll rise again. If you only look around. You will be found, you will be found, you will be found."

"Out of the shadows! The morning is breaking. And all is new, all is new. It's filling up the empty, and suddenly I see hat all is new, all is new." The lyric, "You will be found," is sung seven times from the crowd, Izuku watching in silent awe. Suddenly Shouto pipes up, and he silences the crowd with a burst of snowflakes. "Even when the dark comes crashing though, when you someone to carry you, when you're broken on the ground," he stops and takes a shaky breath, remembering the time Izuku had to carry him to the hospital before they had even enrolled in U.A.

The crowd finishes for him, singing the last verse. "You will be found! So let the sun come streaming in, 'cause you'll reach up and you'll rise again, if you only look around. You will be found, you will be found. You will be found! Even when the dark comes crashing through, when you need someone to carry you." The lights darken and focus once more on Izuku. "You will be found." He slowly closes his eyes, taking a shuddering breath, and opens them again to see an enraptured crowd whistling and clapping, smiling and laughing.

Suddenly, Eijirou smiles at a now-smirking Katsuki, and gets up to the front of the stage. "So, now that we got the public songs done that these two lovebirds wrote," Izuku flushes and protests, "Kirishima!" He whines, but the red-head shrugs and continues. "Well, anyways, there's a cover that these two did and they put it on some small, obscure YouTube channel so they can't say I'm invading their privacy," Eijirou starts and suddenly the ever stoic Shouto flushes and Izuku turns completely red.

"You better not have shown Jirou that and hooked this up to the screen!" The green-hair boy threatens. Eijirou shrugs and just says, "Whoops!" Then the theater goes black and the large screen flickers to life. The audience falls silent, curious, and then there's a YouTube video pulled up. A mouse moves and clicks on it, the video expanding to full screen. (Your Text by sundial)

The video starts with the two of them simply walking down the street then it cuts to them in a café. "Hey pretty stranger, I think you look cute." Izuku smiles as he sings, paying the bill in cash. "Can I get your number? I wanna know you." "Tell me your secrets, tell me your fears. Nobody will notice, let's get outta here," Shouto sings back and the two glance around then smile and exit the café.

Shouto sings the next line, glancing away with a light flush and a small smile. "Oh boy, don't catch me looking." Izuku turns and smiles, "Oh yeah, I caught you looking." They both look away, smiling, and sing softly, "What do you think of me? Do you think of me?" The camera turns and the two are walking around in a clothing store, Izuku laughing and trying on clothes. "You got that new style," Shouto sings, smiling lightly, and Izuku turns and beams at him as they both sing. "You wear that perfect smile. I'll take you on a date, are you free Saturday?" A soft, silent laugh is seen and it cuts to them lying on a bed, All Might figurines littering the room they're in.

"And I-I-I think I love you." Shouto backs him up with a quiet, "I love you, I love you." "And I-I-I hope you do too." "You do too, I love you." Suddenly the music dies down with the light and then the light turns back on, showing that two are sitting in an empty classroom.

"Hey pretty stranger, I think you look cute." Both of them shared a smile again, "I don't think I've ever met someone like you." Suddenly both of them stand up and meet up in the center of the classroom and grab the other's hands. "People come and go but I'm here to stay." They sing, the high notes ringing out beautifully. "Just call my name, we'll be okay." When the lyric 'just call my name' is sung, a short clip of them in a small wooded area, calling for the other is shown.

Then the previous chorus comes up, but in a different tune. "Oh boy don't catch me looking," Shouto sings, his voice curving up then back down. "Oh yeah I caught you staring!" Izuku's voice does the same thing, except his voice stays high, the two of them smiling at each other as they walk to the dorms. They enter a traditional, Japanese room as they both sing, "What do you think of me? Do you think of me?" Then, it starts showing different clips. "You got that new style," it shows Izuku showing off his new suit, "You wear that perfect smile," an image of Shouto smiling fondly at something, a soft, exposed look that gives everyone a warm feeling. "I'll take you on a date, are you free Saturday?" A short clip of the two helping the other into a suit, with Izuku whining silently and Shouto obviously laughing.

"And I-I-I think I like you." Unlike last time where it was Shouto singing back up, its both but with muffled voices. "I like you, I like you. "And I-I-I hope you do too." "You do too, I like you," The muffled voices sing. The video ends with the two of them sharing a light kiss then leaning back and smiling at each other.

The screen dims and the theater lights back up. Izuku and Shouto are no where to be found, Eijirou silently dying of laughter with his boyfriend. "They're okay!" He announces, still cracking up. "They just got really embarrassed since that's months old. Right after the band got popular because of the 2nd year sports festival," he explains, grinning. A mop of green hair followed by a head of evenly split red and white hair peek out from the curtain and slowly emerge. "So, uh, forgot you ever saw that," Izuku squeaks, face flushed. Shouto nods next to him, a blank look on his face. Suddenly, the dual-Quirk user turns to the laughing couple behind him. "You're next. Next concert, you two are getting featured. I will get Jirou to do it." The microphone picks up his words and laughter rolls through the audience. Suddenly, someone starts chanting and everyone seems to join in.

"TodoDeku! TodoDeku! Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!" Izuku's face flames and smoke curls off of Shouto's left side, and Shouto hurriedly talks into the microphone. "Only if Bakugo and Kirishima do too." The crowd erupts into cheering and then the two red-eyed males flush. Explosions crackle from Katsuki's palm and he glances up then back down, face a light red. Eijirou grins and he leans in with a quick peck then pulls away. Katsuki's eyes are wide and his face even darker and the spiky-red-haired boy chuckles. Then both of them glance over at the other couple who flush more and shuffle awkwardly. After a few seconds, Shouto bends down and lays a light kiss on his significant other's cheek and then grabs his hand and walks off stage while saying, "Thank you and good night!" Into the mic. Eijirou and Katsuki follow, the former waving bye, and the lights shut off, the concert over.
