First persons POV of Shannon1300

Kurt and I are brother and sister. I'm about two years older then him. Kurt has troubles in school.

The bullies target him. He just can't wrap his mind around some of the math and in his defense against the math. It really is difficult.

I had trouble with it for a while. I've been trying to tutor him, but it's hard to find the time.

He's made a little progress, but not a lot. The teacher told him if he failed another test they would call our parents.

Burt and Carol. Now, Burt is our birth father. Our mother passed away a long while back.

He married Carol a few months ago and we gained a new step brother as well. Finn Hudson.

He's a good brother. Hard headed at times, but that's Finn for you.

Kurt and I are currently getting stuff ready for dinner when the door slams open. We had been in the den since school ended, just enjoying time together watching tv and laughing.

Burt walls in and he looked majorly ticked. Carol right beside him. Finn was out at Puck's place for the night.

" I got a call today from the school Kurt. You failed every single test you had this month. " he snarled.

Kurt looked like a deer caught in head lights. Burt never takes that time with us, even if he's angry.

Burt growls in anger. " I CAN'T BELIEVE IT KURT. WHAT IS HAPPENING? I PUT ALL MY MONEY INTO THIS SCHOOL FOR YOU. HOW DARE YOU FAIL THESE TESTS. YOU SHOULD KNOW BETTED!!" Screamed Burt suddenly.

The two of us flinch and I look at Kurt to see tears are in his eyes and a few are running down his cheeks already.

Kurt has always been tender hearted. He's doesn't like confrontation. Especially yelling.

" You are grounded until your get your grades up, pass those tests and start doing better. Is that understood?!" Snapped Carol.

Not on the same tone, but she was yelling also. Kurt couldn't help it. He burst out crying and took off down the hallways to his room where I hear the door slam shut.

I then turn my glare at our parents. They look a tad guilty. Good, they should look guilty. Kurt didn't deserve that.

" That wasn't very nice. Kurt tried his hardest in school. He's bullied and has trouble with his work. I try to help him, but there is only so much one person can do. He didn't deserve that. " I snap before turning and walking towards Kurt's room.

I knock gently before walking in. He is currently sitting on the edge of his bed hugging his arms to him.

His body is trembling and shaking with every sob that leaves him. I walk up and sit next to him. I hug him to me tightly.

" I'm so proud of you Kurt. Never forget that. " I say.

" I don't understand. I try m-my b-best and they just d-don't under-s-stand how hard it is. " Cried Kurt.

" I know Kurt. I don't understand it either. " I say.

" Dad has n-never y-Yelled at me l-like that b-be-f-fore. " Cried Kurt.

" I know Kurt. It'll be ok. Don't listen to their mean words. I will always be head for you never forget that. " I say.

He nods and cries into my shoulder. A few minutes later there is a knock on the door. We look and it's our parents.

" Kurt, I'm so sorry I yelled at you. " says Burt.

" Why didn't you ever tell us you were struggling in school?" Asks Carol.

" I tried, but you guys were always so busy. I didn't want to bother you. " says Kurt. He finally calmed down enough to speak a sentence without stuttering.

" You can always come to us for help. We are never to busy to help our kids. I mean, it's our job after all. " says Burt as a light joke.

That manages to get a smile from Kurt. " Could you forgive us for being so harsh?" Asks Carol.

Kurt nods. " Always. " he says.

I smile. " From now on we will help you. You're not grounded, but we need to our two hours to studying each day when you get home from school. Deal. " says Burt.

Kurt nods and we stand. We all hug each other and smile. After that we all go to the kitchen and start to get things ready for dinner. All of us joking around and laughing. Just enjoying our family time.

The way it was always supposed to be.
