A/N. Ok so this is long overdue. Sorry it took me such a long time to get this posted, but I finally did. This one shot is dedicated to @0myjoshimsodun. I hope you enjoy.

Danny arrived home late one night. He had been so busy he forgot that is was his birthday.

However, ( y/n ) did not. She knew he had forgotten because his mind has been everywhere lately.

She set up a pretty dinner for the two of them on his back porch. They've managed to keep their relationship and secret from everyone else. He didn't want to tell anyone yet.

She had a key to his house. Danny walked in and hung his key up in the hook. He did the same with his jacket and was about to do the same with his gun when he heard a noise.

He held his gun up and slowly walked deeper into the house. He slowly calmed though once he made it to the kitchen and saw the deck lit up all pretty and a dinner sitting out on the table.

" Sweetheart, please put your gun away so I can hug you?" Says (y/n)

He smirked and slipped his gun back into its holster and the second he looked back up (y/n) has him in a death grip hug.

She was happy he was home and not at all shocked he brought out his gun at a mysterious noise coming from in his house.

She looked up at him. " Happy birthday Danny. " she said.

His eyes widened in shock at just remembering that it was his birthday. " It's my birthday already. Holy crap days have passed by so quickly. " he said.

" Well not to worry honey.  I took care of everything. " says ( Y/N )

She kissed his cheek and walked him outside. He followed, he looked at the table and smile sweetly at her.

" How long did it take you to our all this together?" He asked.

(Y/N) looked at him. She smiled gently. " I've been her only a few hours. I made the food last night, but spent the rest of the time I was here setting this up for you. " she said.

" It looks delicious. " he replied.

" Well sit down and enjoy. " she said.

He went behind her first and pulled her chair out for her. She smiled at him, he pushed her in and went over to his chair and sat down.

She moved his food closer to him. On the plate was thick pork chops, broccoli and rice. This was one of his favorite meals and she loved making it for him.

His smile only got bigger as he saw the meal. " Thank you sweetie. This looks fantastic. " says Danny.

(Y/N ) smiled back at him. " Anytime. You deserved this meal and it's your birthday. How can I not spoil you with your favorite meal."

He laughed. " Your amazing. " he said.

The two started to eat. He loved his food and she could tell just by the look on his face and the look in his eyes. How she adored him.

" So how was work today honey?" She asked.

He looked up. " It was ok. Not to busy. Just dealing with the daily indoors that come in and out. " he said.

She nodded. " Well, nothing to worry about now. Your home and are going to let me worry about everything going on. " says (Y/N.)

He nodded. " I have a cake made for you. It waiting in the microwave. " says ( Y/N. )

He grinned. " You know exactly what to do to make me feel better, don't you?" He said.

" It's my job to know. " she said.

His grin only got wider. The two finished eating and talking about how their days went.

She soon excused herself and got up to go get the cake. She had contacted his brother and he had sent him a birthday card for her to give to him for him.

His younger brother was currently out of town and wasn't able to come over for his briber birthday, but he still wanted to contribute to it.

She brought the cake out of the microwave and set it in the stove. She grabbed a lighter out of the drawer and lot the candles before walking outside.

He looked as she started to sing. " Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday my dear Danny, happy birthday to you. ".

She set the cake down in front of him. " Make a wish. " she said.

He chuckled and blew out the candles. She cheered and clapped. He could only laugh at her excitement.

" Now let's eat some cake before we get to the presents. " she said.

" Sounds good to me. " he replied.

The two cut up the cake and ate a slice. It was chocolate with vanilla frosting on it. His favorite and it had happy birthday Danny written along the front in a light blue frosting.

After they ate she pulled it a card and handed it to him. " This is from your brother. He wanted me to give this to you. " says (Y/N. ).

He grinned and opened the card. " Happy birthday Danny. Wish I could be there in person, but as you know, duty calls. Hope your having a great one. Also, don't think to much about the aging thing. You may have gotten older, but that shouldn't matter. You have a wonderful girlfriend and a good life. Love ya. Sincerely your better younger brother Jamie. " he read out loud. He then started to laugh at it.

(Y/N. ) then went inside to grab her gift. She walked back out and handed it to him.

He smiled and opened it. It was a clam shell with a date on it.

He looked confused. " remember this from our first date. We went walking on the beach and you wanted to do something nice for me. So in your suit you went into the ocean and got the clam for me, opened it and gave me the pearl inside and I wanted to give you the shell after I preserved it so it'll last forever like our love for each other will. " says (Y/N. )

He smiled and at her and got up. She was standing and he wrapped his arms around her. " This has been the best birthday ever. Thank you ( Y/N. ) he said.

And with that he kissed her. The two clothed in the light from the moon. Everything else forgotten and they wouldn't want it any other way.
