MadoHomu Wedding
WARNING: This all takes place after the events of Madoka Magica Rebellion (the movie) so there will be some spoilers for it here!
It was their special day. After the two beat Walpurgisnacht, after managing to keep all the girls alive, Homura asked Madoka out for some coffee. The two bonded well, and that night they went on a witch hunt.
Eventually, the two dated, and they dated for months before telling anyone about their little secret. They hid in the locker rooms at the gym and hid their relationship well. The only reason they came clean was that Sayaka walked in on the two cuddling each other and watching a movie in Madoka's room. Homura shoved it off, saying they were just cold, and to think nothing of it. But once Sayaka caught on, she began talking to Kyoko about it, and Kyoko told Mami... so they had to come clean.
The friends were supportive, I mean Hitomi was a bit freaked out but accepted it overall.
The two dated for a long, long time. Throughout high school and to adulthood. They made sure to keep everyone alive, Homura wasn't going to let anyone die on her watch. She explained why, and despite not believing her, they had to. She showed Sayaka first hand, knowing not to show Mami.
One day, the two stopped dating.
And that was because Homura popped the ultimate question,
"Mustard, or ketchup?"
I'm just kidding.
"Will you be my magical girl, and have us fight witches for the rest of our short-lived lives?"
Madoka gladly accepted. She knew she hadn't had long to live, if she went at the rate she was, she'd live for another 10, 20, and maybe 30 if she was lucky. She wanted to make the most of it, the most of the suffering.
So now, they have to get ready.
Homura designed a dress for Madoka, and Madoka approved of it. It was what Homura remembered of Madoka's goddess dress. It was over the top, and beautiful. It brought back memories to Homura, but now she's glad Madoka is safe. With her. And the rest of the girls don't have to suffer all of the pains of being a magical girl.
Now, to Homura, this world wasn't worth destroying. Not yet. She is the happiest she's ever been in a very, very long time.
Because Homura picked out Madoka's dress, Madoka picked out Homura's. Homura didn't mind what dress she'd get, because if it made her Madoka happy, then it made her happy.
Madoka tried to find something that she thought Homura would wear, but Homura was okay with whatever. Madoka ended up showing Homura a black, white, and lavender dress with a bow tie on it and a gray fading to purple silk coat. It was extremely expensive but pretty easy to get money selling grief seeds to other magical girls in trade for money. To make more money, Homura stole money without Madoka knowing. She wanted this to be the happiest day of her life, and she'd do anything to make that happen.
They made up the perfect amount of money to buy the dresses, and afford the wedding itself. The two were overjoyed, and after setting it up, they were ready.
...
Madoka woke up, she was laying in bed. She felt Homura behind her, clearly still asleep. Madoka silently got up, got the dress, got other things, and drove to Sayaka and Kyoko's house. The two had gotten together about a year after Madoka and Homura confessed to dating.
Madoka got to their house and knocked on the door. Kyoko answered, tired. "Yo. What's up?" Madoka smiled, "Today's my wedding day, silly! You and Sayaka are here to get me ready, hehe!" "OH RIGHT! Here, let me get her, come on inside and make yourself comfy." Kyoko let Madoka in, and Kyoko went into her room to wake up her girlfriend.
Madoka sat and waited, she could barely contain her excitement. The two had such a weird meeting, but she didn't mind. She's glad they met in the first place. Kyoko and Sayaka soon came out of their room, Sayaka looked tired. Madoka smiled widely, being a magical girl was extremely hard, but she could forget about that stress right now. Now, she can be at peace, just for one day. She barely could contain her excitement to see her girlfriend of seven years wearing the dress she picked out.
"Hey Madoka, you probably rushed here as soon as possible. Want to get some coffee and eat some breakfast before we begin to get you ready?" Sayaka asked, yawning after her sentence. "I can stay here, so you two can have your fun." Kyoko offered, knowing the two are best friends, she didn't want to intrude on their friendship.
"No, come on Kyoko! You're helping me too. Besides, you and Madoka barely hang out, this can be a fun experience!" Kyoko rolled her eyes and nodded, "Oh all right!"
So Sayaka and Kyoko got some clothes on (no, they were not nude you perverted shits) and the three got in Kyoko's car and drove off to a small coffee shop close by. They got out and walked into the shop, the door making a little jingle as the group walked through. This made Madoka crack a bigger smile. Sayaka knew Homura's heart would melt at the smile because being an adult is stressful. They all have college, and barely have any time for themselves. They get money from stealing, selling grief seeds, or they have a job on top of collage and being a magical girl.
Madoka ordered some light coffee, and a donut, Kyoko ordered french toast, and Sayaka just got some coffee and a croissant. "Are you ready to get with Homura?" Kyoko asked, taking a bite into her french toast. Madoka smiled brightly and nodded.
The three talked for a bit, ate, and went back to Sayaka's house to get Madoka ready for her wedding day.
"Okay, so this will take a while. The wedding is being set up, Homura's getting ready with Mami and Nagisa, and we have to make you look stunning." Sayaka states, looking at her collection of things. Kyoko brought out the dress. It looked almost exactly like MadoKami/Ultimate Madoka's dress, but the three didn't know that. Only Homura did because Madoka was a goddess to her.
"It's a bit much, how did you guys even afford this? It's really pretty!" Kyoko exclaims, looking at the finer details of the dress. "We had it custom made, Homura seemed pretty excited about it. I had no idea how she got so detailed with the dress!" Madoka exclaimed, cheerfully.
Sayaka finished her breakfast and coffee, then stood up. "Well, time to get started! Your wedding starts in a few hours, they're almost done setting up!" Sayaka explains, a smile on her face. Kyoko got up as well, and soon Madoka followed the two out so they could drive to Sayaka's place and get ready.
"Let me get this straight, you invited the girls from Kamihama City, right? There's a lot of them there, who are you inviting exactly?" Kyoko asked, sipping the last bit of coffee. "Oh! Well, the few I'm inviting are Iroha, Yachiyo, Tsuruno, Kaede, Felicia, Natsuki, Kako, and so on!" Madoka exclaimed, seeming really excited about the entire thing.
"Didn't Iroha and Yachiyo begin to date, like, last year?" Sayaka asked. "Yeah, they liked each other but didn't want to break any laws so they waited until Iroha was 21 until they dated, they are only 4 years apart but at least they waited until they new Iroha's feelings were staying dedicated," Madoka explained, happy for the two despite the small age gap.
"At least they weren't ten years apart!" "VERY TRUE!" The three began to laugh, as Sayaka continued to drive.
"Say, Madoka, you haven't talked to Kako in a while have you? You guys tried to keep in touch for as long as possible, but once Kako went to college you both lost contact, right?" "Yep." Madoka nodded.
"Then how did you get her contact?" Kyoko looked confused but interested. "Oh! I found out that Felicia had Kako's contact, so that's how I got it. I'm so excited to see her again! She's 20 now, I wonder how she's changed ever since I met her at 13!" Madoka smiled, clearly excited for this little reunion.
"And how'd you get Natsuki's contact?" Sayaka asked. "I knew her and Homura used to talk, and Kaede had her number! How lucky was that, huh!" Madoka giggled.
"And Mitama is the priest." Madoka states.
"Wow. So many new but familiar faces are gonna be there, huh? Anyone else I should know about?" Kyoko asked.
Madoka nodded. "Yeah, the flower girl!" Kyoko's eyebrow raised, "Yuma! You and she were close, and you always protected her, so I decided to make her the flower girl! She's 13 now, and still a magical girl! It's so cool!"
"Wait she's alive!?" Kyoko shouts. "Yep! Oriko and her wife kept her alive, and after being reassured by Homura that I wouldn't destroy the world, they decided to take Yuma in, knowing how young she was."
"We're home!" Sayaka yelled, getting out of the car, and helping Kyoko out as well. The three walked to Sayaka's house, and opened the door. "Time to get you ready, Madoka!"
...
Homura sat in Mami's living room and was hyperventilating. "Calm down, Homura, it's okay!" Mami comforted. "What if something terrible happens!? These 7 years have been so perfect! Too perfect, something's bound to go wrong, I know it!" Homura yelled.
"Shhhh! It's okay! I don't know why you're so keen on thinking that!" Mami hushed, trying to get Homura to calm down. Nagisa was in the kitchen making some cheesecake to calm everyone down, Mami made the wedding cake already.
"I would explain but you wouldn't understand, I can't tell you, but I've been trying to protect Madoka almost my whole life, and I don't want to lose her, something always goes wrong!" "Homura, stop worrying, here, drink some tea, and relax. It's almost time to go anyways." Mami hushed once again, Homura gave up on fighting it and tried to relax, sipping the tea and eating the freshly baked cheesecake made by Nagisa.
"Okay... I feel better now." Homura sighed, not telling the full truth. "Alright, good. Take the cake, Nagisa, it's time to head over to the wedding!" Mami cheered. "Okay, Mami!" Nagisa exclaimed, grabbing the cheesecake and carefully taking it to the car.
Mami drove Homura to the wedding, which was an indoor, private wedding. Homura entered, in her silver down to the knee gown. She looked over and to her surprise, saw Natsuki!
"Natsuki?" She asked. The blue-haired cheerleader looked over, and her smile widened, running over and hugging Homura. "It's been such a long time, Homura! You've changed so much! I can't believe it's your wedding day!" Natsuki smiled brightly, excited to see Homura get married.
Homura looked out and saw the others doing their own thing. Some she knew, others were new.
"The wedding starts soon, I suggest getting up there," Mami whispered to Homura, nudging for her to go up to the altar.
Homura began to walk over to the altar, causing the guests to see and sit down. Homura stood there and watched Mitama stand between Homura and where Madoka was supposed to be.
Homura stood still, in the outfit that her soon to be wife choose for her. Everyone sat still, eagerly waiting for the bride to step out and come to greet the other. Suddenly, wedding music began.
From the curtains that sat behind the guests drew open to reveal Madoka in her beautiful dress. Homura's heart skipped a beat. A girl named Yuma began throwing flowers out, she was selected flower girl after all. She was one of the youngest magical girls, it's surprising how she made it 7 years, now being 13.
Yuma sat next to Kyoko, smiling brightly. Madoka stepped up to the altar, smiling sweetly at Homura.
On the stand, being the priestess to bind them together, was Mitama Yakumo, all the way from Kamihama city, the neighboring one to theirs.
"On this very day, our lovely Madoka Kaname and Homura Akemi, have decided they wanted to bind their souls together." Mitama states, looking at the crowd of people, "And with that very special request, this is a very special couple. They've dated for 7 years, and now they shall unite, as one."
Mitama turned to Madoka. "Madoka, do you take Homura as your long dedicated wife, to be with you through the rich and poor, sickness and health, the good times and bad, for as long as you both shall live?" "I do." Madoka smiled.
Mitama turned to Homura, "Homura, do you take Madoka as your long and dedicated wife, to be with you through the rich and poor, sickness and heath, the good times and bad, for as long as you both shall live?" "I do." Homura smiled. Homura has already lived through that, and she'd do it again. For Madoka.
"You may kiss the bride," Mitama says, backing up as Homura basically leaps over and kisses Madoka, both hearts racing at the speed of light.
Madoka kisses back, feeling the warm tears run down her cheeks and Homura's tears near her face. Homura pulled back, Madoka could see exactly how happy Homura was, her puffy red eyes and she's never seen a smile so bright on her before.
"You don't know how long I've waited for this..." Homura whispers softly, creasing Madoka's hair as she holds her close. Madoka could feel Homura trembling. Homura always acted so protectively around her, yet in the corner of Madoka's eye she always saw Homura staring at her, a wide smile on her face and sometimes tears in her eyes. When confronted about it, Homura always shook it off, saying that she couldn't tell Madoka about it.
"LET THE CELEBRATION BEGIN!" Sayaka shouts, causing the two to laugh.
"Wait!" Madoka yelled, taking her boutique of Red Camellia flowers, and tossed them to the crowd. It was tradition, which Madoka and Homura rarely followed, but Madoka thought I'd be a fun thing to do.
"Now, let the party begin!" Madoka cheered, stepping off the altar, holding Homura's hand and dragging her to the wedding cake that Mami prepared. Madoka took a slice, and began passing slices around to the other magical girls.
It was one of the happiest days of her life.
After all the cake was passed out, Madoka and Homura sat at their own little table. Tonight, they were the center of attention.
"Mami prepared this cake really well!" Madoka exclaimed, taking a bite into the cake. Homura smiled, pecking Madoka on the head. Madoka blushed slightly. "You look like a goddess in that dress, Madoka," Homura states, a warm smile coated her face.
"No, I'm not nearly that beautiful!" Madoka retaliated, blushing brightly. "You have no idea, my little goddess.~" Homura murmurs as she nuzzles into Madoka. She wasn't wrong. The outfit brought memories to her, but now, they were safe. Homura was the demon of this world, and could control this universe to her will. She wouldn't let anyone fall into despair, she couldn't control Madoka's affection for her, but she now had full control over life and death- to which she didn't tamper with much besides the few magical girls that the two knew.
"You're so flirtatious!" Madoka yells, blushing wildly. "Well, I am a devil after all."
She pulled Madoka close, holding her in her arms. "Are you ready for the dance?" Homura asked, Madoka nodding in response.
Homura stood up and held her hand out to help Madoka get up. Madoka tripped, but was caught by Homura, and was helped up.
Homura took a look at the band, and they knew exactly what to do. She's prepared for this moment for so long.
The band began to play Kimi no Gin no Niwa, Homura, and Madoka began to sway back and forth.
This was their song. And only theirs.
This was heaven.
This is the heaven that Homura needed.
The heaven where Madoka is in her arms, and happy.
