Liv x Gwaine
Idea: Takes place in Camelot. THIS IS COMPLETELY FOR A FRIEND
3rd person
Livia Stoll, younger sister to the knights Travis and Connor Stoll, was calmly sitting in front of a mirror, getting ready for a date with her boyfriend of 2 years, Apollo.
Apollo, a well known archer, was also of noble blood, so her father approved the relationship, which is no small feat.
They would be going on a romantic date in the forests to have a picnic with the fine food Liv would provide. Liv was quite confident that he was going to propose today.
Yuvia Droplet knocked twice on Liv's door and came in, holding a basket that held the picnic food. "Your food, my lady." Yuvia said, handing Liv the basket.
"Thank you Yuvia." Liv smiled. Yuvia was Liv's favourite servant. Her other servant, Olive, was a mess. To be honest, Liv isn't quite sure why she still has Olive for a servant.
"Are you ready to go my lady?" Yuvia asked.
"Yes Yuvia, I am."
"So where are you meeting him?" Yuvia asked.
"We are to meet in the forest." Liv answered shortly. "And?" Yuvia gestured to the basket.
Liv laughed. "Well obviously we're going to eat, Yuvia."
"Of course Liv." Yuvia mocked a bow. Liv laughed. Yuvia was the only one who, other than Jade who is a good friend of Liv's, can tease her.
"By the way, your brothers won't be back today. They'll be back tomorrow, instead." Yuvia mentioned.
Travis and Connor had been off on a mission for weeks now. They were suppose to arrive back today and Liv would spend an hour with them before going off to meet Apollo.
"Really? Then I guess I can meet Apollo early." Liv sighed.
"Get a horse ready for me Yuvia." Liv ordered. "Yes my la- " Yuvia stopped mid-sentence, apparently sick of calling Liv my lady.
"I think I will." Yuvia turned and headed out the door. "Olive!" I heard her call down the hall.
Liv hid a laugh. Yuvia was certainly unique.
A few moments later, after hearing the familiar sound of horses and screams of OW from outside, Liv headed down the stairs wearing a deep purple gown and her long, brown hair down.
Olive was standing outside the rather large house with the horse, a new bruise on her face. "Again Olive?" Liv sighed.
"Uh, yeah. I swear your horse hates me."
"I always knew Hermes was a smart horse." Liv snickered, climbing onto the horse. Olive rolled her eyes. "Have fun my lady." Olive said, mockingly.
Liv rolled her eyes and directed her horse towards the forest.
After a few minutes, Liv saw Apollo in a beautiful, sun-filled clearing. Flowers and tall trees made for perfect scenery.
Liv decided to surprise him, so she slid off her horse, tied it to a tree and crept over to Apollo. But what she didn't expect to see was Apollo kissing a girl from the lower village.
"Just wait for me there, okay? I'll get the food and tell her I got lost or something." Apollo assured the girl. "Don't worry, I won't let our one year anniversary be ruined."
No doubt. Apollo was cheating on Liv.
For an entire year of their relationship.
Liv dropped the basket, which made a loud thud on the grass.
The girl and Apollo whipped around. Both froze when they recognized who it was.
"O-oh...hey L-Liv.." Apollo stuttered.
"Save it." Liv said, coldly. She curled her hand into a fist and punched the girl as hard as she could in the face. The girl yelped in pain and fell onto the ground.
Liv kicked Apollo in the place where the sun doesn't shine and he also yelped, falling to the ground.
"I trusted you!" Liv screamed at him, "and for an entire year you've betrayed that trust! Did you really not even think twice about betraying me? Destroying my trust!? If you wanted to end things YOU SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME! Fuck you Apollo! Fuck you and your huge, agonizing ego!"
Liv held back tears as she turned back towards her horse. It was only once she had started riding that Livia Stoll let out a single tear.
She barley navigated the road correctly, nearly crashing into multiple stands. Finally, she made it home.
Olive ran over. "Back so soon? Geez what happened to the romanti- are you crying?"
"Take Hermes to the stables Olive," Liv tried to make her voice sound strong but to her disappointment, wavered.
"But-"
"NOW."
Olive flinched and took Hermes by the reigns. As Liv entered the house, she heard Olive scream OW as she always did.
Even that didn't make her happy. She dashed into her room, closed her door, flung onto her bed and wept.
She didn't regret what she had done, no not at all, she just couldn't believe she hadn't noticed for so long. When he canceled dates, said he was busy, had that all been lies?
"Um, Liv?" A timid voice came from behind.
Liv turned. In her race, she hadn't noticed Yuvia was in the room cleaning.
"Leave me Yuvia." Liv sobbed.
"Liv I'm not going to-"
"That's an order!"
"You can't order your friends," Yuvia whispered, "not when you need them."
"Well actually I can. Especially when that friend is my servant." Liv sighed.
Then Liv caved in and told Yuvia the entire story, between sobs.
"That no good jerk!" Yuvia yelled, angrily. Liv looked at Yuvia, surprised. "Uh, not that it's my place to say....."
"Go ahead, it doesn't matter to me."
Yuvia was silently fuming while comforting Liv. A knock on the door startled them both. Yuvia cleared her throat and opened the door, blocking whoever was at the door from seeing Liv.
"Is Livia in there?" A timid voice asked. "Yes she is. Would you leave a message?" Yuvia responded, concealing her rage.
"Ah, Sir Apollo is at the door and wishes to see Livia." The servant said.
"Tell him to fuck off." Liv called.
The servant gasped. "My lady!"
"What? Care to correct me?"
Yuvia cleared her throat. "I'll handle it." She said, solemnly and followed outside Liv's room.
Liv was still very upset when she heard a commotion from outside. She looked outside her window and saw Yuvia and Apollo.
Liv opened her window so hear the conversation.
"You have invented a new kind of stupid! A damage you can never undo kind of stupid! A truly you didn't think this through kind of stupid!" Yuvia screamed at him.
Apollo was furious. Him, a nobleman, getting yelled at by a servant? "Young lady I suggest you go inside and think about what you've done. Yelling at a man of my status!" Apollo spat.
Yuvia laughed. "Please. You think I care about status right now! Go ahead and throw me in jail, because I would choose Liv's happiness over mine every time!" Yuvia strutted forward and slapped him.
Bystanders gasped. "That is what happens when you cheat on a woman like Liv." Yuvia growled. "And I could do far worse."
Apollo stood, clutching his cheek and spun on his heel and disappeared.
Yuvia happily walked back into the house and went back to Liv's room.
Liv closed her window and Yuvia walked in. "You saw?" Yuvia whispered, her voice very quiet.
"Yes." Liv hugged Yuvia.
They stood there for a moment in each other's arms. "Do you think he'll have me arrested?" Yuvia spoke up, fearfully.
"No. In order for him to do that, he'd have to say why. And the men would laugh at him that he got slapped by a woman. A peasant woman at that. Trust me, Apollo will choose his ego first." Liv grumbled.
Silence fell over the room.
"I'm hungry." Liv piped up. Yuvia smiled. "I'll go get some food."
An hour later, Liv had finished eating dinner and was sick of crying. So she did what anybody would do after being cheated on.
Drink.
Liv changed into a plain shirt with a belt, pants, boots and a black cloak. She wiped off all makeup that she hadn't already cried off, and tied up her hair.
Liv walked out of the house quickly and silently, having learned this skill from her brothers.
She headed down to the Tavern, where she stayed and drunk for hours. She had left the house at 6pm and it was now 4am. She was incredibly drunk.
Thankfully, the bartender's apprentice, Dani, found out where she lived due to Liv's drunken state (Liv blurted it out) and got her home safety. The young bartender took Liv home to a furious Yuvia, who had to take care of a drunk Liv.
Not fun.
Yuvia had to escort Liv to the puke bucket multiple times, deal with her random blurts and her random crying.
Yuvia got very little sleep that night, so she was extra cranky when Liv woke the next morning with a hangover.
"Yuvia, I'm thirsty." Liv yawned.
Yuvia glared at Liv. "What?" Liv asked.
"I was awake all freaking night making sure you didn't puke over yourself or do something stupid! I want an explanation Liv!"
"Water first, talk later."
Yuvia grumbled and went to get some water. Moments later she returned. "Talk."
"I hate Apollo. I wanted a break from crying. So I got drunk to avoid all my problems." Liv shrugged as she drank the water.
"Liv you snuck out. You should have told at least one of us."
"Why?"
"Liv, Travis and Connor nearly killed somebody last night because we didn't know where you were."
"What?"
"They were ready to report a kidnapping, Liv. And the whole time you were getting drunk at the Tavern. You're lucky that bartender found you before some man could." Yuvia sighed.
"I can handle myself Yuvia."
"I know you can. At least when you're not drunk."
"I was fine."
"But what if you weren't?"
"Well I am Yuvia." Liv snapped. "Now leave me. You have no right to lecture me Yuvia." Liv said, bitterly.
Yuvia opened her mouth to retort.
"I don't want to hear it." Liv snapped.
Yuvia glared and left.
'Great. I lost my boyfriend and now I probably lost Yuvia.' Liv thought.
Liv spent the entire day with her brothers, talking.
Then, around 10pm, Liv snuck out again, leaving a note this time.
Liv, wearing the same outfit as yesterday, entered the Tavern to find it quite busy.
Liv ignored the crowd and ordered wine. She took a sip, then heard sounds of commotion.
Liv headed over to the scene. A group of men were ganging up on a man, who seemed to be defending an older lady. As Liv got closer, wine in hand, she realized this guy was handsome. Really handsome.
He had long brown hair that stopped at his shoulders, brown eyes and beard. Liv also couldn't help but notice he was in great shape...
"Give the lady her money back." The man pushed the apparent leader.
"You'll have to take it from me." The leader laughed.
"Gladly." The cute guy snatched it from his grasp and turned to the lady. "I believe this is yours."
The handsome guy's victory was short lived seeing as he was punched in the face a few seconds later.
The elder scrammed from the bar, leaving the cute man alone with around 20 men.
"Ah well this just isn't fair." The man retorted before taking out a blade.
Liv watched the action for a few moments. watching the man attempt to fight and fail.
Finally, Liv strutted over. "I think that's enough boys." Liv said with order in her voice.
"What's a pretty lady like you gonna do, eh?" The leader chuckled.
Liv smiled sweetly at him, then threw the wine in his face. He screamed as the wine hit his eyes.
Liv used the opportunity to punch him in the face and stole his sword. Not as good as a dagger but it'll work.
"Such a waste of good wine." Liv huffed, standing with a sword in hand. "Do you know how much I could have enjoyed that?"
The entire room seemed to have froze. Then-
"Get her!"
And suddenly Liv and the handsome guy were fighting the gang, back to back. The man picked up a bottle of beer and smashed it on a goon's head.
"Such a waste of good beer!" He complained.
"I know! These men have no respect."
"A girl like you have a name?" The man asked, slashing at a goon.
They were on top of the bar counter now. "I should hope so. You?" Liv asked over her shoulder, stabbing a man in the right shoulder.
"I'm Gwaine."
"Liv."
"Nice to meet you Liv." Gwaine grinned before ducking to dodge a sword.
"Tell me, do you do this often?" Gwaine asked, over his shoulder.
"Not really. I should though, it's fun!" Liv grinned, truly excited as she dodged a flying plate.
"So what brings you out to the Tavern?" Gwaine asked, punching somebody.
Liv and Gwaine stood back to back. "A stupid man. Oh, and the wine's great." She said, kicking a man in the stomach to the ground.
Moments later, the Tavern was quiet again, with all of the men laying on the ground, unconscious.
"Tell me Liv, are you seeing anyone?" Gwaine asked, putting his sword away.
"Not anymore." Liv said, bitterly. She gripped her sword tightly even though the battle was done.
"Good. That means I can do this." Gwaine spun her into a kiss.
Liv wasn't sure if it was the wine, but kissed back.
"It's not every day a woman like you comes along." Gwaine winked after they'd run out of air.
"Damn right."
Gwaine laughed. "Whoever left you was truly a fool."
"Yeah. He was." Liv stopped laughing.
"But I don't think I would be that foolish." Gwaine finished, winking again.
Liv smirked. "I should hope not."
"I'll see you around Liv. Maybe here again tomorrow?" Gwaine asked.
"Count on it." Liv smiled and walked past Gwaine, ordered a glass of wine and left.
Let's say Liv had a lot of explaining to do to Yuvia.
And Liv was looking forward to seeing Gwaine again.
